Columbus Sports Medicine Doctors Reviews

"I was referred to Dr.
Columbus Sports Medicine Doctors Provider Name Locked
from my primary care doctor because of a knee that hadn't completely healed from a fall in January. I also had achilles tendon swelling and pain. I was taken to an exam room and discussed my issues with the nurse. Then in came another doctor (not Dr.
Columbus Sports Medicine Doctors Provider Name Locked
) and a female assistant. They asked me lots of questions, examined my knee and ankle and left. They both returned with Dr.
Columbus Sports Medicine Doctors Provider Name Locked
. He for the most part sat at the computer and told the other doctor what to do/look at. They ultimately decided I needed the fluid drained from my knee and a steroid shot. Rather than discuss these treament options, the next thing I know I'm laying back and being stabbed with various needles. There was a very cursory look at my ankle and then I was given two sheets of paper. One with an order for a knee brace, and another for physical therapy for my ankle. No discussion. I was so overwhelmed with the number of people in the small exam room, I literally couldn't think of the questions I should logically ask (not that there was an opportunity for that). As a side note -- I got a second opinion on the ankle and it had a 40% tear of the achilles. He should have found that himself before ordering PT. I understand that he is apparently a heavy hitter with professional sports teams in the city, but I don't feel that is an excuse for being rushed and not giving the proper care and explanation to the patient.

"He had pioneered the joint-replacement program at
Columbus Sports Medicine Doctors Provider Name Locked
. He gave me a lot of relief. He told me I was atleast 10 years away from replacement, when other doctors told me it was necessary. He was very personable, and had great bed-side manner."

"I contacted Dr.
Columbus Sports Medicine Doctors Provider Name Locked
's office about 1 1/2 months in advance to schedule the physical exam. The only drawback was that I had to be there early in the morning because they need to get "fasting" blood work, but that makes sense (so you won't have to go hungry all day). Dr.
Columbus Sports Medicine Doctors Provider Name Locked
asked me questions about the issues I'd been having and gave me a very thorough exam. He really cares about his patients and goes the "extra mile" to ensure that I am healthy and happy."

"DR.
Columbus Sports Medicine Doctors Provider Name Locked
is an awesome family practice doctor whose specialty is sports medicine. We have used him for over 10 years. His office is very prompt at getting you in for an appointment. He returns calls even if labs are normal. When I've made appointments, I've never had to wait. Very professional and very personable. His office accepts our insurance so I have no co-pay at the time of visit."
