"My experiences with roofing companies have typically been bad--I wasn't
sure there was really a good, trustworthy company out there. At last,
I've found one.
I purchased an Angie's List coupon for roofing repairs as I knew our old
roof was showing signs of trouble. GIven the rainy spring, it was
difficult to find a dry day for the repairs. M&R was highly
professional--calling and keep me informed as the date shifted due to
the weather.
On the first dry day, came out to handle the repair. He was
great--knowledgeable, professional, dedicated to making sure I was happy
with the work. He went above and beyond to make sure all the needed
repairs (nail holes, flashing, vent base) were taken care of. It's clear
that he believes in growing his business the old-fashioned way--by
doing the right thing. I'd definitely hire him again."

"They were professional, timely, hard workers. They did a great job. They had to remove shingles and put holes in the deck to install vents and they work perfectly. They replaced some shingles and the finished job looks beautiful.
8/18/11 - UPDATE - THE SINGLES USED FOR THE ROOF VENTS WERE INFERIOR TO THE ORIGINAL ROOF AND FAILED @ ONE SPOT. WHEN I CONTACTED ABOUT THE PROBLEM, THEY WANTED $300 TO FIX THE THREE SHINGLE AREA AS THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. WHEN I HAD REPAIR DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE I WAS TOLD THAT THE ORIGINAL SHINGLES THAT MOTH USED FOR VENTS WERE PRONE TO FAILURE - AND NOT THE SAME QUALITY I HAD ON THE ORIGINAL ROOF. ALSO, THE NAILS USED TO SECURE THE VENTS WERE TOO SHORT (AND I'M TOLD, THE REST OF THE WORK WILL MOST LIKELY FAIL EARLY). I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN - AND NOW WORRY ABOUT THE GUTTER WORK THEY DID."

"They did a good, no nonsense job. We have a 14 yr old weathered roof so it was hard to match the shingles but they got close enough - and the repair site was not remarkably visible to viewers (was in a valley in the back of the house) anyway. Before his estimate, the supervisor went up on the roof and inspected it and showed me the weak spots; he advised that 50% of the shingles were not installed well originally (which was not a shock to me), but they would repair the obvious problem site for now and keep an eye on the rest of the roof in the future (and save us from an immediate replacement of the entire roof). The other estimators we contacted did not go on the roof but viewed it from the gutters. Also, 's estimate was $100 less than the other estimates."

"They were very good in showing what they were replacing. They also suggested me to call insurance company as they noticed some hair damage, so that did not cost me some of the price, which was nice. They were very flexible and they had offered to put in soft renovation to compliment the ridge and I told them that I was planning to do that myself. They were very flexible in doing that with me. They didn?t try to push their product When I wanted to do something myself, they were willing to work with me. They did tell me that, they did fluid product and they run me through it and it was helpful when installing things. They also offered to insulate the upstairs because I was in the process of remodeling; when I told them I was planning to do that myself, they gave tips and few points on what I ought to do. There were some other aspects of the job where he talked sharp and he gave me tips for down the line, what I might look into doing. Even when the whether was bad they made sure that I was aware of the each step; I didn?t feel I was in dark. "

"We had a major renovation and the contractor was a man in and he's done a fine job for us. He was a principle contractor, he walked us through the whole thing. The people he brought in were terrific and he did a great job. He is a very creative and a conscientious guy and he obviously knows a lot of excellent sub contractors out in his area which is important. He put on a new roof on the house and garage. He did new gutters, siding, repaired concrete front, back and drive, renovated a basement room which involved replacing the ceiling, re-casing the windows, custom built furniture at one end for entertainment center, new lighting and rewiring, carpeting and so forth. It was a big project. He is a very personable guy. Everybody he brought in was excellent. All the sub contractors were really nice guys and they did the right stuff and it was great. His price was competitive. "

"We could not have been more pleased with the work done on this job. , owner of , made sure we knew exactly what we were getting into. He explained our options in detail, sent us out to see several roofs that he had done that would be examples of the roof colors we were considering, sent us to a warehouse to see different roofing materials in large sizes rather than just in a sample brochure.
was always punctual, the work was done with great care and precision. The job was not started until all of the supplies were in and then it only took about a week to finish. Care was taken to cover all gardens and the clean-up was very thorough.
Everyone helping with the job was very professional. The job was extremely well done, we could not have been more pleased."

"Overall experience was very pleasurable and affordable. really exceeded our expectations from start to finish. It was nice actually working with a company that new exactly how to meet our needs and we didnn't end up flat broke and stressed out through the entire process. These guys really know their stuff. I would highly recommend them to any of my co-workers and friends looking to have any type building or remodeling of work done."

"Everything went very well. They were knowledgeable about everything. The garage isn't in the best of shape, so they gave a complete idea of how to repair the garage. I was pleased with all their suggestions. They came out to my home a few times with no complaints and were easy to deal with. The estimate I received was competitive. They finished the job quickly and did a good job. They went above what they originally estimated, but they didn't charge me for the extra wood. I would hire them again."

"I would say perfect, save for the fact that it took the guys so long to do the job. Standing seam does take longer, however, there were at least three days where the weather was beautiful and they quit shortly after lunch. Despite it taking three weeks from start to finish, our roof looks absolutely beautiful. It was nice to have a roofing company where the guy who looks at the job and gives the bid, comes back and does the work - with his brother and the same guys day after day. 's dad was out to re-measure everything and ran errands for them a few times. and 's mom does the scheduling.
Other quotes for the same job were $10,000.00 more - unaffordable! These guys replaced only boards that needed to be replaced, rather than re-sheeting the whole roof. They put in the skylights for the cost of the skylights, my husband framed them in. They cleaned up pretty well every day (I'm a bit of a neat-nick and still went out to get nails and screw that they missed - and there were overlooked sharp bits, hard to help, but a word of caution)
There was a big storm, tornado sirens, the whole bit, right after they'd torn off the front and put down new roofing felt. , 's dad, called as it was starting and told me to keep an eye on it and if anything blew, they'd be right over. It was as sound as could be and reassuring to know that they were thinking of us.
came out after the job was finished to clean debris out of the gutters and to take pictures for their website.
is a nice, small, family company. They are skilled workers and follow through to the end of the job. really a pleasure!"

"Very well. I found the company on Angie's List. Got three quotes from roofing firms. was the least expensive. Their representative came to look at the roof while I was not home and sent a quote by email. answered my questions by email. When I asked about increasing the thickness of the rubber from .045 to .060, she agreed without increasing the cost. I gave her the go-ahead on a Thursday, and she said she would have a crew out the next Tuesday. That day it rained heavily and the crew did not come, but they worked the next two days to complete the job. There was some water damage to the plywood underneath and a "sag" in the roof which hindered drainage. I had mentioned the "sag" to , but was not sure what the crew would do and how much a fix would cost. When they were done, I saw that the crew had built up the area with two by fours on the beams before installing the new plywood. They only charged me the material cost of the plywood (actually at a rate lower than in the contract) with no additional charge. Their clean-up was quick and thorough. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work and the final product. My only disappointment was that the rubber roof was put down in four sections. I had been expecting two sections (though, to be fair, I had not specified this with ), which would have resulted in fewer seams and fewer opportunities for future leaks. However, the seams do appear to be well done."
