"Let me be clear. The service was perfect and the gentleman who performed it was professional, efficient and very nice.
My "downgrading" was because of the experience scheduling the appt.
I called on a Saturday and asked if someone were available that day. I was told no, but they could come out on Sunday. And, there would be a $94 fee for the Sunday service that they would need to secure with a credit card. i hate to give that info over the phone for a service that has not been completed, but I was kind of stuck. I scheduled the appt for Sunday.
Late Saturday afternoon, I got a call saying the plumber was on the way! I said I couldnt do that as we were leaving for the evening and that I thought the appt was for Sunday because no one was available that same day. The dispatcher was confused too and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said, no, but the Sunday appt would have to be kept as my kitchen sink was completed stopped.
When the plumber came out on Sunday, I saw that we were being charged OT rates for the Sunday call. It felt shady. I mentioned that and he was a little embarrassed. Although he did not throw his company under the bus, he agreed that having to pay the Sunday premium fee when there obviously were appts available on Saturday when I first called was probably not fair.
I want to give the benefit of the doubt that it was just a miscommunication, but would feel better about it had the office offered to waive the Sunday fee once they realized they'd made a mistake vs. having the technician himself do it.

"They scheduled very quickly and came out within a week of my purchasing the deal. The technician called prior to coming and he was able to come earlier than the scheduled time, which worked out well for me. It was awkward when he was there because they had replaced my hot water heater about a year ago, but he kept telling me they hadn't. The technician stated there was record of a service, but not the replacement of the hot water heater. I thought it was odd that he disagreed with me a couple times. But he did what he needed to do and completed the service for me. Overall the experience was ok. It was just a little awkward to have someone disagree with me when I was the one that called for the installation of the hot water heater. When they installed the hot water heater, we had a fantastic experience with them. I would still use them again.

"All went fine. Plumber came twice - first to remove and then came back to reinstall. One of the faucet parts was faulty. Plumbers advice was to contact manufacturer for another part and he thought I could install it myself, which I did, saving another trip charge.
Good advice.

"They came within 2 hours of my phone call, which was great because I had 2-3 inches of water in the basement from the snow melting and having no where to go because the main basement drain was clogged with roots. They did the work for a rate that was per drain, rather than per hour. They also talked with me about options for preventive maintenance or more permanent solutions. And, on the way out, they even took a look at my bathroom faucet and replaced a part of the spout that was missing a screen.

"I called this provider, who claimed they installed residential gas lines, when my regular gas line contractor, Specialty Gas, was booked up for over a month. This provider told me they'd charge me $75 for an estimate, which I agreed to pay, thinking the price would be close to what I had paid in the past with Specialty Gas. Well, this provider came out and quoted me over $800 to install a gas line!! The work was relatively easy since the lower level under the kitchen was open and unobstructed, with a gas line to tap from very close. It was clear they didn't want to do the work! They took my $75 and left a mess in my lower level - rips in the insulation and left it dirty and insulation on the floor. I then proceeded to schedule and wait for Specialty Gas - they did the work professionally and quickly for their minimum $300 charge.

"Wow! What a wonderful company. I contact the company on Thursday, and they were out on Friday to install my heater. I chose to purchase a 50-

replacement from Lowe's and
Columbus Plumbers Provider Name Locked
actually went over to the store to pick up and bring the new water heater to my house as well.
Columbus Plumbers Provider Name Locked
was quite pleasant to work with and did install the new water heater in no time at all. My unit was more technologically advanced than the other one, so
Columbus Plumbers Provider Name Locked
needed to make a few mods to complete the install. Overall, the unit works wonderfully and they hauled away the old defunct unit as well.
While on the premises, I showed
Columbus Plumbers Provider Name Locked
a few other areas of "plumbing" concerns with my home and he gladly provided insight and gave me an estimate for future repairs. I will be using this company to complete my other repairs in the near future. KUDOS to

"I described the problem to the phone representative and got an appointment for the next day. They gave me a 2 hour window but called half way through to tell me they were behind and ended up coming about 30mins after the window. The technician had only been given part of the problem description (check valve) and couldn't address the main problem - snaking the drain line to the street. He called his dispatch and arranged for another technician to come out another two hours later. He did not perform any service. The second technician told me it would be $375 for an outside drain snake regardless whether he was successful or not. I was feeling desperate (water developing a very large lake right next to my foundation) so I said go ahead. He tried for about 30 minutes with absolutely no success. He did give me $80 off for doing "nothing." I understand the need to charge for coming and trying, but this price was ridiculous. I still have to get a reputable company to fix my problem!"

"This is our second experience with
Columbus Plumbers Provider Name Locked
Plumbing. My first review seems to have disappeared but without fail, they call to remind you they are coming the day before service is provided, the service provider himself actually calls on his way to your home, they are punctual, professional, focused on the job they are to do & will inspect other areas for you without more cost. Ironically, they spotted a major issue needing to be addressed. We had them perform some extra work while they were on the premises at increased cost, of course. They offer discounts for Angie's List customers if it isn't one of the Deals of the Day plus we got a military discount. We feel secure that the service they provide is high quality & most importantly, we trust them. We highly recommend

"I was surprised to get an appointment the same day. As it had been longer than six months but less than a year since the last work was done, the technician suggested that a pipe may have collapsed or there were roots clogging things up somewhere. If I wanted to have a supervisor come out and run a camera it would be $109 but he could offer me a deal for $80. I told him that a supervisor with the camera was fine with me. The cable got stuck. He and the fellow he was training were unable to remove it so they needed the supervisor's assistance with it and to do the camera. Unfortunately, the supervisor was stuck at another location. All in all, my appointment was five hours long and they were unable to fix the issue. It seemed like a lot of their time was sitting in the van waiting for the supervisor. I was only charged the full price of the camera scope. I was given a verbal quote of $4000 minimum to make repairs that would probably fix it. The supervisor believed the lawn trap was inundated with roots. The city would need to do before and after inspections. The lawn would need to be dug up below the frost line (about 4 feet) in order to find the lawn trap and clear it. It was possible the pipe would need to be replaced (with a 30-year warranty) and at the absolute worst, the pipe would need to be cleared to the city sewage line which might require breaking apart our (new as of

2014) driveway and putting it back together again. Due to significant loss of income (I lost my job 10 days before the appointment) we're unable to move forward with the repairs immediately and will be getting another quote.

"I called the company and they came out within the hour and sourced the problem and went out and got a new water heater and installed it. Terrific service, very polite and professional. I would definitely request their help on any handyman project that will appear in the future.
