I called this provider an hour before going in. I was told that they had no wait, could see me immediately and accepted my insurance.I was going in for a knee injury which was very painful. I walked in and spoke with the receptionist, who was not overly friendly. I singed in at 12:00 noon. After taking my ID and insurance information i proceeded to wait. No one in the office had a clue what was going on in the office, I overheard phone calls back and forth between the front desk, the nurses and the billing department. The practice accepted my insurance, however the doctor they scheduled me with wasn't sure if he accepted my insurance. After calling my insurance and the billing office they obtained the prior authorization needed. They time now was 1:20 p.m.; at that time I was told that the doctor I was suppose to see was only scheduled until 1:30 p.m., and would not be seeing me today. I had totally wasted and hour and half on my time.

While I was sitting there another lady came in who had an appointment, and started checking in was informed that they accepted Anthem insurance, which is what she had, and they knew this when she was scheduled and referred. After about 10 minutes they told her that they didn't accept Anthem Blue and that they were sorry but they could not see her.

Furthermore while I was sitting in the waiting room, there were two older gentlemen waiting to be seen. They were there when I arrived at noon. They both had 12:15 appointment times. The receptionist informed them at 12:45 that the doctor was still at lunch and they would be the first patients to see the doctor when he arrived. When I left at 1:30 the two gentlemen were still waiting. I hope they got to see their doctors before he stopped seeing patients for the day!

When my sports medicine doctor told me I needed surgery on my hip for a labral tear, he said he really wanted me to see Dr.
even if it meant waiting 6-8 weeks to get an initial appointment. After my 1st appointment with Dr.
, I saw why. He was so kind and patient with me answering all of my questions (and I had an extensive list of questions). The surgery took longer than estimated, but other hospital staff said he's meticulous. I've tried to do everything Dr.
and the physical therapists at OSU told me to do. He was even kind and patient with me whenever I would freak out over the aches I felt after surgery. I was very paranoid about damaging the work he performed. I was back to my sport on a limited basis after 3 months and now after 6 months, am getting back to full sport. My hip feels pretty good now and overall, better than it did before surgery.

gave my husband his office telephone number and said to call if we had any questions or problems at all. It is now almost 13 weeks since my rotator cuff repair surgery by Dr

I shattered my forearm and presented to the ER. They called in Dr.
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
when they realized it wasn't a
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
fracture. It was so bad that morphine wasn't covering the pain. Therefore, when they said they'd admit me and operate the next morning, I felt some horror. I didn't say anything. However, Dr.
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
saw my expression; he changed his personal plans for his evening and performed the operation a few hours later. I will always be impressed with his perceptiveness and self-sacrifice. He placed a plate and pins in my forearm, and I never had one problem with them. Whenever I've had orthopedic type problems after this, I've gone back to him. I've been able to get an appointment in a timely manner. He never tries to oversell his services or products; very honest and it's a pleasure to deal with him.

He explains everything in
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
terms so it is not so professional. He doesn't talk above my head and he is great about that. On the other hand, I don't like any of the ladies in his office. They are very rude and they don't follow through on anything. However there are six doctors in the facility and they rotate the nurses so I don't always have the same problem. The nurses and staff are like that but he is wonderful. I have confidence in the decisions he makes. He is not scalpel happy; he is nice happy. He advises me of other choices before advising surgery. He gives me other options.

We had gone there to see him for my daughter and he kept telling her what treatments she needed and he changed his mind a few times and I was not ok with that. He did seem sure of what direction we needed to go with the treatments. He was easy to get appointments with.

I had been to several sports medicine doctors over 10 years after intermittent hip pain from a rollerblading fall. None would/could diagnose the problem and guide me toward effective therapy even though I'm fit and was willing to do whatever necessary. It appeared that my issues were quite mysterious for some highly reputable doctors in Columbus, so I was extremely frustrated. I visited Dr.
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
as one last effort before going to a pain management doctor. She diagnosed my hip issues as something she had seen many times before (bursitis and piriformis syndrome), gave me one cortisone shot, and sent me to a physical therapist who specialized in the type of hip pain I was experiencing. I spent 10 years intermittently visiting and revisiting the two most reputable sports medicine facilities in Columbus. I endured bad physical therapy that made me worse, patronizing doctors, spinal injections, getting an MRI, and getting an EMG. I was one step from a pain management doctor. Thank goodness I visited Dr.
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. I only wish I had visited her sooner. Also, her office and staff are very pleasant. And unlike the sports medicine doctors in the prominent facilities where you have to wait 4 to 8 weeks for appointment, you can schedule a visit with Dr.
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
very quickly.

I was referred to Dr.
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
from my primary care doctor because of a knee that hadn't completely healed from a fall in January. I also had achilles tendon swelling and pain. I was taken to an exam room and discussed my issues with the nurse. Then in came another doctor (not Dr.
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
) and a female assistant. They asked me lots of questions, examined my knee and ankle and left. They both returned with Dr.
Columbus Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. He for the most part sat at the computer and told the other doctor what to do/look at. They ultimately decided I needed the fluid drained from my knee and a steroid shot. Rather than discuss these treament options, the next thing I know I'm laying back and being stabbed with various needles. There was a very cursory look at my ankle and then I was given two sheets of paper. One with an order for a knee brace, and another for physical therapy for my ankle. No discussion. I was so overwhelmed with the number of people in the small exam room, I literally couldn't think of the questions I should logically ask (not that there was an opportunity for that). As a side note -- I got a second opinion on the ankle and it had a 40% tear of the achilles. He should have found that himself before ordering PT. I understand that he is apparently a heavy hitter with professional sports teams in the city, but I don't feel that is an excuse for being rushed and not giving the proper care and explanation to the patient.

I started my physical therapy treatment here in November of 2008 and have had a wonderful experience thus far. My injury is very complicated and requires a lot of one on one attention from the providers at this facility. They have always gone above and beyond to work with me and ensure maximum productivity. Scheduling is also very easy as they offer many time slots.
