Moving Reviews in Columbus

The movers were very good and provided excellent service. They were on time and were very careful in the process. We were very pleased with the work they performed.

Our move was easy to schedule and the owner had great follow up including an e-mail confirmation. Two movers arrived earlier than the scheduled time. All of my furniture arrived to our new home in satisfactory condition. The issue that I had was with one of the two movers. He entered my apartment smoking a cigarette. He was completely oblivious and my husband had to ask him to put it out. He complained most of the time we were around him about all of the stuff that he had to move and continuously attempted to chat with my husband. I wouldn't have really cared about the chit chatting, but we were paying by the hour. He criticized where we were choosing to put some of the furniture; insisting that it would go better somewhere else. We told him to put all of the remaining furniture in one room of the house and we would move it from there since the clock was ticking. After this instruction, he continued to ask where to put things. Since the price for the move was so reasonable, his lollygagging didn't add to the price too much, but it was nonetheless frustrating. The other mover was completely professional. I would use them again, but would insist on more experienced employees.

I scheduled the removal and they came on time a promptly and quickly moved the furniture to the garage and the artwork to the basement and tvs and computors to where I know they would be best placed to function for awhile. They we very polite and a pleasure to work with.

The process was smooth. The move went well. The quote was almost dead on to what the actual cost of the move was. I found this company easy to work with. The office personnel were friendly, courteous and professional. The moving staff was efficient, professional and hard working. The were courteous to us and they were aware of their surroundings and very aware of our belongings. They were careful to not make mistakes and to not cause any damage to our belongings or our new or old home.
It was a pleasure to watch someone else have to move our stuff LOL I hate moving and it was a whole lot easier to hire movers then to do it ourselves. For this I am forever grateful for my friend telling me about this company. They were reasonably priced so that we could afford this luxury and they made the experience nice for us. I don't believe I have ever moved without stress like this before and I will never move without hiring movers again.
I like supporting local companies and this company is worth supporting. I would recommend them to others if I am asked and I will tell all my friends and family about the good experience that I have had using this company.
Thanks for the move.

I had the unenviable task to downsize my mother's 2000 sq ft home, once she moved into assisted living. My mother, who lived through the Great Depression, was like many others of that generation -- "Never throw anything away, as you never know when you'll need it". This resulted in my mother's home as a "clean hoarder" home = lots of clothing & stuff with dust ... but nothing decaying that required a HazMat suit to approach or handle.
I contacted and interviewed a number of companies who specialized in downsizing / organizing ... of which a few also did estate sales. As I had to do this job solo (minus active participation from my siblings), I needed to choose between companies who would Downsize & Donate everything ... verses Downsize & Sell as much as possible. I chose to hire

based on their approach (downsize & sell), their sizeable following (people who are on their email list for sales), and their contacts for other services as needed.
The huge challenge was that my mother had So Much Stuff, that it was impossible to resolve all within a single Estate Sale event. Even then, we were challenged to have enough space for items that could sell (verses other items that were immediately donated).
The overall process went reasonably smooth... where I was involved in determining if an item was of Family Historical Value (not always obvious). I requested and received regular updates of their schedule, so I'd know what days they would at the house or not (some days they'd work for another client or take a day off).
I had 20 or so boxes of personal correspondence, newspapers, and photographs to sort through ... where I needed to negotiate to identify space in the home that would not be used for The Sale (so I could continue my job to sort through those boxes). Once identified, I was able to continue my work and

could continue their work for The Sale without either of us hindering the other.
One area of concern... for old, valuable items -- that given the option to sell only via an Estate Sale would not likely sell.

folks did online searches to determine the value or sale-ability of the items, and didn't necessarily check with resources knowledgeable in those areas [exceptions: fine jewelry, high end costume jewelry, dinnerware, and furniture]. Note:

(owner) is knowledgeable on crystal, glassware, silverware and silver plate ware. .... Yet, in order to clear things out and get the items SOLD -- I understand the need to price the items to sell at the Estate Sale. I did choose to remove an antique collection of plates from the sale, in order to save them from chips and cracks inflicted by unknowledgable customers at the sale.
So... after 3 months, 3 residential sized dumpsters, 700+ garbage bags of stuff donated, several cases of bottle water -- the house is finally empty and is nearly ready for sale.
Overall, I am VERY PLEASED with my decision to hire and work with

were prompt, cheerful, courteous and thoroughly professional throughout. They handled antiques, weird configurations in the industrial loft and the long hallways easily and without mishaps. We had a last minute schedule change but the office had no problem accommodating us. This is the third time we have used Moving Ahaed Services and we will most definitely call on them any time we need moving help in the future.

We hired movers to make our move because well its easier that way! The price was right and it seemed like a good idea at the time. By the time we rented a truck and talked the friends and family into helping us hiring someone to do the job was just much easier so that's what we did.
We were very confident by the phone conversation that we had when we did our quote that this was a good choice to make. It
seemed like something we could afford, it allowed us to not do the heavy work, and they were able to work within our timelines. We agreed to the move date and everything was a go. Move date came and everything went off without a hitch.
We had everything packed and disassembled and ready to go all we needed was for the movers to come in and move the items into the truck then unload the items at the new place. Seemed like it shoudl be easy and well needless to say it was easy. They had it loaded onto the truck within the time frame that was allotted on the quote and we were off to the new house in no time it seemed.
We got to the new house and the unload went just as smoothly. They unloaded with plenty of time to spare. Which made us all happy. They were also very professional in the sense that they did not trash our furnishings. The took great care to make sure that things did not get broken or scarred. For this we were grateful! We certainly couldn't afford to replace most of the stuff that we have. We would recommend these movers to anyone that will listen. Do yourself a favor the next time you move...hire someone to do it!!

was efficient, polite, and professional. I was also drawn to them because, unlike other moving companies I inquired with, they had a flat rate and didn't hint that there "might be additional fees upon delivery." I would absolutely recommend this company.

Who would have thought that moving day would turn into the least stressful part of my move? The movers were extremely professional, quick, and just generally good people. They had me moved in a little over 3 hours, which was crazy fast and more than 2 hours quicker than my estimate. They did not doddle, lollygag, or even take a smoke break. Admittedly, I was really organized, but these guys went above and beyond, disconnecting my washer and helping me tighten the legs on a wobbly dining room set. I really couldn't be more pleased.

One mover arrived about an hour before the truck in Columbus to start inventory. By the time the truck arrived, he was almost done, and the guys were able to start moving right away. They walked the house with me, and I knew the reasons for the change in price-I had not listed everything that needed moved. It wasn't much more. There is always more in your house than you think (or remember) and they were extremely thorough in the inventory. They efficient, courteous, and very careful. They left the house in great condition.
When they arrived in Pittsburgh, they had to park on the street to unload. The driver and packer in Columbus was the driver to Pittsburgh, so we knew him already. He called when he was 20 minutes or so from the house. We walked the house with him, so he understood where everything was headed. Some beds and a futon had to go thru a 3rd story window (couldn't make the turn up the 3rd story steps). Those two men unloaded the truck (26') and placed everything where it was labeled and required. They set up rooms so they were usable right away. With only one lunch break, they finished unloading and set-up in about 8 hours. They were careful and courteous. I don't want to move again, but would use them again if needed. Great crew!
