"First he was 40 minutes late and made no apology until I brought it up (his reasoning was that he got a lot of phone calls). I called him after he was 15 mins late and he told me he was a few minutes away - turned out to be 25mins and he never called to inform me. When he got there I explained what I needed and said he could get it done. Since ...more he was late I had to leave before he was done and he said that wasn't a problem and he'd call later to bill me. After I paid him over the phone later that day - $173 - I went to the house to check the work and the front door wouldn't open. I called him and told him it didn't work and he asked me if I wiggled it around to try to get it to work. I said yes and that I should have to perform a trick to get it open. He replied that it needed a lot of work to get it to operate properly and that I wasn't around to talk about it. He never called to tell me this, but he did call to collect his money. I asked him why he charged me when the work was obviously not done right and had no excuse. After talking back and forth and him telling me that I needed a locksmith to fix it (even though he is a locksmith) he said that he would charge another $75 service charge just to come out to look at it again. After I convinced him that he needed to come out to fix it with no service charge he came a few days later. He attempted to repair the locking mechanism and failed. I understand that they are hard to work on and hard to find parts for, but his attempt was pretty lame. I watched him the whole time and he was very sloppy, didn't catch obvious problems and left me with the feeling that he wasn't really with it. I told him to stop trying to fix it and just add a new dead bolt to the door and get it over with. All said and done everything works now, but it has cost me at least $100 more than it should have and not once did he try to make any concessions to make up for his tardiness and poor work ethic. He also left saw dust all over my floor after he was done. I would never recommend him to anyone!"

Appointment took approximately 30 minutes. Service rep took old lock with him without asking, but I requested it back. That seemed a little dishonest to me. Service rep also did not clean up wood shavings or offer to sweep up after the job was completed, but the locks work great. Service rep gave me his card for future services and lock-outs, but company is not affiliated with AAA auto club. Several days after the work was finished, I received a call from a telemarketer who said that she received my name and information from

. She was offering a free membership to a household referral service. I told her that I was not interested and that I am already a member of Angie's List."
