I am not crazy about them, although they were fair this last time I went in. I wouldn't say they are excellent, but I wouldn't say bad either. They don't know how to get an IV in. I had told them that I am hard to get; they punched me about 4-5 times before I told them to get somebody else. They are always available as it is a hospital. They are good at billing. They were pretty good, admittance and stuff like that was really quick and good. If I have to, I would use them again in the future.

Of course this procedure isn't one that you look forward too, but the staff was courteous & very helpful from when we arrived thru discharge. The location (
Hospital area) was convenient as well.

At the endoscopy appointment, I was instructed to come in an hour prior to the time of the procedure to fill out some additional paperwork. A packet was sent to me prior to the appointment with a medical history and instructions for preparing for the procedure as well as written directions and maps to get to the office. When the procedure was completed, I was surprised to find that I was actually leaving at the time my procedure was supposed to start illustrating that the office is prompt.

Dr.

and the staff are caring and careful. They describe what is going to happen prior to the procedure and then take time to explain clearly what they found and answer any questions you might have afterwards. They even provide photos of whatever area they were examining.

A couple of days later, the office calls to make sure that you are feeling all right. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr.

to anyone who needs gastrointestinal procedures done.

My appointments in his office were very positive. After the surgery when I reacted badly to the pain medicine, he suggested that I stay a second night in the hospital until I was feeling better. I very much appreciatedhat suggestion and felt much more ready to be home the next day. My recovery went better than I expected and was back to all my normal activities within about 10 days.

I really like Dr.
Columbus Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
and his nurse. Office staff is excellent as well. He has wonderful bedside manner, making you feel like you are the most important patient while you're with him. He has never steered me wrong.

However, it has become increasingly difficult in the past couple of years to get an appointment with him. You used to wait a few months for one, but now you wait a few months for his schedule to open up so that you can schedule the appt and wait even longer. Getting a procedure scheduled in a reasonable amount of time is next to impossible and that will probably drive me to find another Gastro. I hate to do it, as I really like him and I think he is one of the best out there. But waiting months for appointments or procedures is just crazy. I am currently on the waiting list for a colonoscopy and they will call me when his Fall schedule opens. I think maybe they are so busy with the colonoscopy

that they don't have time for office appts. And they have so many colonoscopies scheduled that even established patients can't get one in a reasonable time.

A final note: You do wait for quite a while in the office, past your appt time. Dr.

is always apologetic, which helps, but it is still frustrating to wait over an hour when you have an appt.

I just wish they would be less busy so that at least established patients could be seen in a reasonable amount of time. I think they are at the point where they probably need to stop new patients and new procedures until they catch up. If there is an emergency, you are just out of luck.

I have had an ongoing GI issue for a few months that required numerous ER visits and three hospital admissions that lasted 4+ days each. When the day finally came for my appointment after waiting weeks because of booked up schedules (you'll have that) I was very eager to finally get something that will work. My primary care felt like her hands were tied and that the specialist would really know how to help me. I had tried 13 different medications and diet change to try to help in the meantime. The office staff and the nurse was very nice. I didn't have to wait long to be seen as my appointment was at 9am. Dr

bedside manner made me very uncomfortable. I am nineteen and very frustrated cause of this issue and when asking me questions about what was going on I felt as if he was yelling at me. He made me feel like he found it hard to believe that my symptoms are what I said they were by how he phrased his questions (asking the same thing in five different ways) and his

of voice. When it came time for the appointment to be over he gave his "recommendations" nothing of which hasn't been tried. He didn't try any new medications and told me to change my diet. At this point I hadn't been able to keep solid food down for 2 weeks but to him that wasn't a concern. I became frustrated and started crying and tried expressing my concerns that I have already tried his suggestions and that I was very concerned about not being able to eat and my mother even tried to rephrase things for me and he simply said "I gave my reccomendations and I'm done" you can check out with my secretary

. Already frustrated I went to check out with her and told her that he wanted to see me back in four weeks.. but hes booked out to nine. and there's nothing we can do about it since he only spends two days in the office, so i have to wait longer with no improvement in my symptoms.

I arrived on time, and got the prep procedures as I expected, but the doctor was about 20 minutes late, so I had to wait for the actual procedure to begin. The staff was friendly and attentive during the wait. The anesthesia worked well enough that I don't really remember the procedure itself. The doctor reviewed the findings with my wife and me. The findings included that there was a 5mm polyp removed from the rectum area. I got instructions on paper to take home with me. About two weeks later, I still hadn't heard about lab results of any analysis of the polyp, so I called, reaching the voice mail of the doctor's medical assistant, and asking what the results were. That was about two weeks ago, and I still haven't recieved any information about lab results.

We were told she suffered from IBS and although she was in great pain all she needed was an anti-anxiety med. Reluctantly tried this and she had a very bad reaction to the drug - when we eventually managed to speak with him he told her to try another anti-anxiety drug. She remained in pain and we ended up taking her to the emergency room several times, and then to Cleveland clinic where she was hospitalised. After many tests her pain remains undiagnosed ( 6 months later) but she is slowly recovering - she continues in pain but at a lower level and with help from a cranio-sacral therapist and removal of all prescribed drugs - especially morphine related drugs as she suffered from narcotic bowel syndrome during her treatment.
