The was one of the worst contractor experiences we've had. We called them to get an estimate, and a gentleman named
came (on time) to take a look at the house and give us an estimate. We are in the middle of rehabbing an old house, and our floors upstairs are uncovered, so it should have provided easy access to the ceilings in our finished downstairs for
to run electric and drill holes for the cans. When we showed
how he could access the ceilings below, he assured us this would be much easier for them and they could definitely do the job. The next day we received an estimate for the work. We asked for photos of the lights, which they provided and then we contracted with them to do the work.
They arrived on time on the day the work was scheduled, and began working. They did cover the furniture to protect them from drywall dust, as well as some of the floor. The began putting the can lights in, and even though they had access to the ceilings from the floor above, they poked holes in the ceiling from below to try and locate studs (not sure why a stud finder would have worked better). They also started cutting out several holes only to find out there were studs nearby, which caused them to cut a larger hole then would have been necessary had they found the studs sooner.
At the end of the day, the house was covered in drywall dust. And while they put in 14 cans, there were 6 extra holes in our ceiling, and 3 of the light covers do not fully cover the holes they drilled in the ceiling. All of which we now have to hire a drywall contractor to come and repair, and a painter to paint over (more mess). Additionally, our ceilings around the can lights were all marked with fingerprints, which even though they tried to clean up, they couldn't clean them all up, so we'll need to paint for that as well. They also left a huge hole around one of the switches. When they left at the end of the first day, the house was a disaster and they still were not able to finish because they didn't have the parts they needed. We worked cleaning the house 5 hours that night and one of us had to take the day off work the next day to clean up the rest of mess they left. They had to come back another day to finish. When they showed up to finish the work, the still didn't have the right parts, so they had to leave and come back a third time.
We have included photos of the poor quality of work that was done.
During the first day of work, we asked the workers who was was going to repair the additional holes and the holes that were cut too big as well as clean up the fingerprints on the ceiling and wall. I was then shown a copy of the agreement where we had to initial that "they are not responsible for damage to drywall." While we did initial that statement, we had no idea to the extent they would be damaging our drywall and paint. I assumed that they they meant "unintended damage." We did not think we were giving them authorization to tear up our walls and ceilings without being accountable in any way. It appears to us that statement meant they can do whatever they want as they install the electric/lights and if they tear up walls and ceilings to do it, that's the problem of the homeowner.
We were also told when we asked one of the workers who was going to clean up all the handprints on the ceiling, that "since we had an old house, we've got to expect a lot of dirt." (
did tell us later that the statement was not correct and that we should expect to have those fingerprints cleaned up.) We also called back to the office and
, the owner of
, and asked about the damage to the walls and ceilings and he also told us to refer to the statement on our work order saying they are not responsible.
treated our home like it was new construction site, not a home where people lived. They acted as if it were obvious that by contracting with them to put these canned lights in, we'd also have to contract with a drywall and an painting crew to complete the job. But that was never discussed with us. We were only told this should be an easy install since they would have access to the ceilings from the floor above.
We would never recommend
to anyone or ever use them again.

They showed up on time and were very friendly. They completed the work quickly and charged what they said they would when I called to get an estimate. They worked around another company we had working in the same area with no complaints and were very understanding. I would definitely recommend them!

The yearly maintenance went excellently - just as expected.
I use them every year as they also installed the generator three years ago. That was also a very pleasant experience.

was a God send. He took the time to figure out what turned out to be a nightmare of wiring in a neglected home. This could have been a financial nightmare for me but

First time we called the owner
Columbus Electricians Provider Name Locked
we thought it was our breakers only to find out AEP was "browning out" in our block. We called to cancel she was close she came on by to look at work we needed completed. We called and made an appt. for work. She and a helper were over 2hours late...we had another appt. Outside the home in another hour and a half they didn't think they could complete any of the work in 1 & 1/2 hours so we made an appt. for the following Mon. She did change something in the toilet that let the bowl fill up BUT caused the toilet to run 20 minutes after it was flushed! We undid that. I got a text later saying it conflicted with a doctor appt and needed to move it to Tues. we agreed. She said her gratitude would be reflected in her prices. Monday and Tuesday's appts.were at 10a.m. I sent a text at 10:32 Tuesday asking an eta I heard nothing until around 11:15 when they arrived. Her helper worked the entire time on trying to free up the bathroom sink and getting things for her from their vehicle. She did an estimate on garage work, fixed outside socket, and the breaker box(though some of her profanity could have been heard next door I am sure). She also put the toilet back to its long running mode. I told her we did not want that she was to put it back but didnt and said we should call Lowes and tell them to replace it something was wrong with the thing. They could not free up the sink without authorization

take out vanity cut wall and pipes replace all for an additional 3-4 hundred dollars. I said no. The final bill was $498.00. I gave her my cc. She took down the info to run card at their office. I did text on the costs after I looked over the bill. She gave explainations that didn't work for me but I assumed it was what it was and left it. Later on I start getting texts and one voicemail threatening to take me to court, take legal action etc. I was shocked! I called the credit card company who told me the merchant was using the wrong security code. My partner left her a message saying to call us we would give her the correct code, that we never had intentions to not pay or defraud her as she had referred to in her texts that we "do not roll that way". This morning I received another threatening text(she had not listened to her voicemail) and my cc company says that last night just a minute before midnight she did put through the correct code but for just $300.00. (I am not sure why it was just for $300. Unless she is embrassed over her behavior or how she finally knew the correct code). Never one I am sorry. Just that she would NEVER want my recommendation. So with this I am not giving one but saying consumer BEWSRE! YOU may get good work...but you are diffinately NOT working with a professional and will pay too much.

It was an angie's list deal. Two man came over and was supposed to work for one hour. They fixed my front yard solar sensor light. But for my porch light with timer, I was told that it was too old and couldn't be fixed. And for my request to teach me a sound system left by previous owners, I was told that I should spend sometime and try by myself :-( So it ended up that they finished earlier. I could just think that at least my front yard light was fixed.

installed a whole-house surge protector and also installed four florescent light fixtures in our basement. He did an excellent job in all respects. Our email and phone contacts with the company were courteous and helpful, and we would not hesitate to use this company again or to recommend it to others. The cost of the work was within the estimate,

of all the two men arrived on time. (Which I appreciated!) They worked the entire time. Both men explained and answered any questions I had. I would call them back in a heartbeat for any other electrical work I need to have done. I love Angie's List and I am so glad I joined because I was able to find a really good electric company.

fixed the outlet, checked on a few other issues, and gave me an informal estimate (that was all I wanted, just an idea about the price, not anything written in stone) for some future work. He was very professional and clearly knew what he was doing (the outlet is now working great).
Columbus Electricians Provider Name Locked
gave me information that clearly showed that he wasn't trying to take advantage of my ignorance regarding electrical work by trying to scare me into additional work (as other companies have attempted in the past). Because of this, I will absolutely be calling

when I am ready to take on the larger projects. Thanks for a job well done!

is fantastic! We needed a Knob and Tube evaluation done to followup on a Gas Company's "energy audit," before we could insulate our house. At first we called a different company, paid that company $149, and that company's representative did not appear to know what the task required. After trying to get the issue resolved, we ended up calling

--what a difference!

came to the house, arrived on time, knew what was needed, educated us about Knob & Tube wiring, found that wiring in our house, knew efficient ways to address safety concerns of the gas company, was respectful of our old house. His quote was quite reasonable. We hired
Columbus Electricians Provider Name Locked
to remediate the wiring and they were able to fit the work into their busy schedule. The employee arrived on time, worked efficiently and quickly, upgraded the wiring as needed, left a clean workplace, explained his work, answered any and all of our questions. We really appreciated
