I met Street at the Home Improvement Show this winter. His eagerness to "educate me" rather than "sell me" on the value of new countertops is what first impressed me and me to CountertopSales. When I later contacted him to come out and give me a quote, he was able to meet with me in a very timely manner. He explained in great detail my various options and provided recommendations, and provided suggestions in several follow-up conversations. He was very patent and truly concerned about me being happy with the final product. He was very flexible in setting up times for us to meet that did not impact my busy schedule. I decided to go with new granite countertops. They were installed in one day and they look great. and the installation team were very careful to make sure the work was done correctly and to my satisfaction. I could tell that really cares about what he is doing and wants to do what he can to make his customers happy. He was super to work with.

"Overall, I couldn't say anything better about my experience with . They were responsive when I came to their store. My husband and I took a little while to go to StoneMart and pick out our slab. After we picked out the slab we wanted, we called and they scheduled the measuring very quickly. The man who came out even had some great suggestions for us on how to deal with a tight space and wanting a bit more room on our island for guests to be seated without making the space between that and the kitchen table too close. It took a while for them to come out and install the granite because they were backed up, but they worked around my schedule and came after 3pm. I don't know what time the installers came, but they were waiting outside my house when I got home at 2:45pm. They did a great job and used shims to make sure everything was level. They also hooked up all of the plumbing and took away our old countertops. Their price is the best in the business. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for a great price, service, and quality installation in the Columbus area."

"I am extremely pleased with the whole experience. From the initial visit to their showroom, to the measurement of my old kitchen cabinets /visit for the template layout on the granite slab, to the final installation.
Everyone is prompt and very professional. The initial measurements are the key to success , if the old countertops are not measured correctly then nothing will fit (my new ones fit perfect)"

"We had a major renovation and the contractor was a man in and he's done a fine job for us. He was a principle contractor, he walked us through the whole thing. The people he brought in were terrific and he did a great job. He is a very creative and a conscientious guy and he obviously knows a lot of excellent sub contractors out in his area which is important. He put on a new roof on the house and garage. He did new gutters, siding, repaired concrete front, back and drive, renovated a basement room which involved replacing the ceiling, re-casing the windows, custom built furniture at one end for entertainment center, new lighting and rewiring, carpeting and so forth. It was a big project. He is a very personable guy. Everybody he brought in was excellent. All the sub contractors were really nice guys and they did the right stuff and it was great. His price was competitive. "

"The job went as described. The crew arrived on time and worked efficiently. The installation went smoothly. The counter fit perfectly. Seams were joined nicely, although excess sealant was not wiped away as carefully as I would have liked.
To get such a low price, the owner does some of the work. For instance, we removed the old counter and disconnected the plumbing before the crew arrived, and we reconnected the plumbing after they left.
I recommend removing all items from the lower cupboards. This job creates a fair bit of dust and debris, some of which ends up in the lower cupboards.
Overall, I'm very pleased. The granite counter is lovely. Because my space was small, I was given a very good deal on a remnant. Therefore, I got a very high quality granite countertop for a price that fit my budget."

"It was a very enjoyable process. gave us 2 excellent granite firms (IGM and ) to visit and pick out our granite. They then came to our house and made measurements. My wife and I met with them at their shop to decide how to cut the granite (edges, sink and range locations, etc). The entire family was extremely helpful and friendly. They made excellent recommendations regarding bull nose edging and sizing of the island granite. This is a family owned business and everyone you deal with is family. A great experience and fun too. WE had a non conventional sink to mount and they worked very closely with us to locate the faucet and assure that the granite cutout would look perfect. They even sketched up 2 options and faxed them to us. It turned out great. I highly recommend them based on price, quality, and responsiveness"

"Oddly, the price and quality were both excellent, but the customer service is a nightmare. Even though the project turned out looking very nice, I would NEVER risk using these guys again. (NOTE: This report is for the marble/granite business of (on Fifth Ave), which apparently operates independent of the stone/gravel on Short Street).
has to have the best remnant/boneyard selection in Columbus and we found several we liked. We weren't happy with the price, but they were happy to match a competitor offer we brought back later.
Then the trouble started. It took several calls and weeks of waiting to get the measurement scheduled. the GM may be a nice guy, but returning phone calls is not a strong suit. , who does the measuring, makes 's customer service skills look world class. On the day he showed up for the measurement, he was gone without a word after five minutes. Just disappeared. Then he or called a few days later to say our faucet would need extensions because the piece we picked out was 1.5 inches, instead of 1.25 ( ? aren't all granite tops standard - turns out, yes they are). I tried to call back for futher clarification, but never got a response. I decided he was talking crazy and hoped they would show up 1.25 inches.. and they did.
On the day of the install, the installer says almost immediately "these sinks won't fit. You'll need to cut notches out of the front rail of the vanity." What? After a bunch of calls back and forth to the office, it is determined that this was known by the measurement guy the day he measured. Except he neglected to mention this to either me or the installer. Had I known the sinks wouldn't fit without chopping up the interior frame of my new, custom vanity I would have said "hold on, don't cut that granite, let me find new sinks."
Only because is a wonderful guy (apparently the only guy who is capable of interacting professionally with a customer), very understanding and very considerate did I agree to let him make the modifications to ge the piece install so I could finish the bathroom. Otherwise I would have refused the piece and demanded my money back. Think I ever got a call from and Co. from ? Nope. Nice piece, great price, never use them again."

"Process was time consuming. Had a salesman out to give us estimate. Went to showroom to select piece of granite. Someone came to the house to laser measure for the countertop. Went back to showroom to select where the cut-outs would be on the piece of granite I selected. Then installation took place. The installers during the removal of the old backsplash made a hole in my drywall which was not a big deal for me to fix. Also, it was noted by the installer that the sink hole was not cut out centered to the countertop (was off by about 1 inch). They offered to start all over again since it was their fault or we could use the piece they cut and would give us a discount on the job. After looking at the hole placement it was obvious to me no one would notice it unless they looked real close at it. I opted to accept the piece they cut and they gave me a nice discount for their error. No one who has been over to see the new countertop has noticed the 1 inch difference. The installation was quick and the installers were very nice and cleaned up afterwards. The new countertop makes the kitchen look so much nicer. Even though there were a few problems mistakes do happen and I was very pleased with their response to their errors and it did not subtract from my feelings about the company. This company did such a good job I plan next year on having them install a new countertop in the master bathroom."

"My project was a cosmetic kitchen renovation painting old cabinets and replacing the counter and flooring. Wanted to keep things inexpensive, so opted for laminate.
was referred to me by a friend. Her laminate counters were beautiful, and did a good job for me as well. came out himself for the measurements. I went to their shop to pick out the materials. The time for receiving materials and fabrication was about two weeks just as they said.
The demo was more involved than they thought due to old, very heavy laminate and the backsplash being full height behind the cabinets and securely glued. They took everything out and fixed the walls with no request for additional cost. The installation of the new countertop was quick and the stovetop and sink cut-outs were perfect.
I've had the counters for about 3 years now and they still look like new. I would definitely use them again."

" and are excellent to work with and go the extra mile. Prices are reasonable and they clean up well after the job. Turn around time from time of picking out the granite to final installation is very good at about three weeks. We would highly recommend to anyone. "
