We called the 1-800 number for
about 7 times and each time they told us that
was not available to our condo. They said they'd send someone out but no one ever came & we got an automated call that said service wasn't available. I finally demanded to talk to someone local and was given a number. I got a hold of someone local and after about 2 weeks we had service. It took a lot of fight to get it but we finally got it. I'm happy with the service now but the customer service at the 1-800 number was lacking just that...customer service.

I called TWC to install wireless internet and phone service. Though I was correct in my order over the phone, the work order was written up wrong for the installation guys and they didn't bring a wireless modem with them. So even though I paid an extra $40 for their installation, I still had to go down to the TWC office and swap out the modem for the correct one. I paid the extra to avoid going to their office. They still haven't credited me for this.
I wanted to go with WOW cable but was told they were not in my area on their website. Two days later I saw their service van at my neighbors. So call if you are going to compare providers- don't just try in online. And sometime you will get a better deal over the phone too. AT&T had a good special rate, but was higher than TWC after the special. Shop around and compare.

The service was not stable. I lost signal when it was raining. They charged me for renting the router, which I did not rent from them. There is also other issues of overcharge. When I contacted them, it always took several time and I had to wait for very long time.

cable was outdated and clunky. To give you an idea of how outdated it is, it still had a "record to VCR" feature when I cancelled the service in 2013.
The reason for this review is to provide details of an incident that seems more like a scam than a legitimate business practice.

I cancelled my

Cable and Internet service in January of 2013 and returned all of the equipment, including four cable boxes, four remotes and an analog-to-digital adapter. I assumed our relationship was over but 15 months later, in April 2014, I received a notice that I did not return all of the equipment (the analog-to-digital adapter) and therefore owed them $120. This was the first notice I received about this. I am 100% certain that I returned all of the equipment so I assumed this was a

mistake that could be cleared up. I called their customer service number and was told that the only way to clear this up was to fax them a receipt that they gave me when the equipment was returned. Since so much time had passed before I received the notice I was unable to find the receipt.

cable does not apparently keep a copy of the receipt either so now it is their word against mine that I returned it. The customer service rep admitted that the 'missing' equipment could have been loaned out to other customers since I had returned it and also admitted that their warehouse inventory practices are not 100% accurate. They said they were contacting the warehouse to have them check again but said that if the equipment did not turn up and I didn't produce the receipt that they would send me to a collection agency.
I wonder how many other customers have run into similar issues. It seems like if they wait long enough before notifying a customer about "missing" equipment then chances are the customer no longer has the receipt and they can try to extort money out of them. I would never do business with a company like this.

Their cable and internet service was OK, but we finally got tired of their consistent 8-10% annual price increases. Cancelling their service is a challenge -- they route you to their "customer retention department" where they threw all sorts of offers at me to get me to stay. My mind was already made up to switch to another provider, but had they given me their "please stay" prices earlier I would have stayed with them. Nearly 30 minutes on the phone with them trying to get them to cancel my service. When I asked them to come pick up their cable box and internet modem, they said they'd charge $30 for a technician to come pick up THEIR equipment! Or I could take it myself to their Customer Service Center near downtown. It's ironic that their headquarters and customer service center are built on a former garbage dump!
By the way, I'm very happy with my new cable/internet provider -- "Wow", they're good!

When we started with

they were the only game in town. We got basic cable and internet and the price was $51/month. Each year they tack on another $5 or $10 without providing any improvements in service or speed. Finally last winter when the price went to the mid $90s a month I called to ask why and was told they'd been improving service, offering more channels, digital and HD. I explained I didn't need that and wasn't getting it. They offered to upgrade my speed to 15MB for an additional $10. I threatened to leave and they offered the increased speed for free for 6 months. I lost track of time and the 6 months has ended. I'm now getting for over $100 what I can get from other providers for $70. For what TW is demanding I could get 30MB internet and 300 channels elsewhere (not that I really care about the TV, which is why we have basic TV). So, I'll call them tomorrow to give them another

Our Internet has been spotty for several weeks. We contacted

(TW) who sent out a technician at 6 pm last Monday that was extremely unprofessional. Our issues:

1) The cable technicinas must get off at 7 pm because our problem was not fixed and he could not leave fast enough.
2) I requested detail in writing about what needs done to correct our problem and he said he left his number. After he left I learned that he did not leave his number with another family member as promised.
3) He blamed every one who had been here previously and worked on our home. We learned all about TW call segmentation and how the tier one calls go to new representatives who don't know what they are doing. Our account records are supposedly wrong and our house needs totally recabled.
4) I callled customer service the next day and all supervisors were too busy to talk to me. I left my name and number and have yet to hear back.
5) They supposedly fixed a cable running into the house and when doing so, stapled the new wire to the old, rather than replacing the old with the new. The side of my house now looks like a jumbled spaghetti bowl of wires. And, how can the next cable tech follow?

We still do not have Internet service.

I have been using their services since February 2012, which include internet, cable, and phone locally. Their service is pretty fast. I haven’t had any problem with them yet, but it was a long procedure to get the installation. I will continue to use their services again in the future if I need to.
