Appliance Repair Reviews in Columbus

My 30+ year old oven had begun having a problem - it would frequently turn off after attempting to set the temperature - so after reading the reviews on Angie's List, I called
for help. The gentleman who answered the phone was polite and offered to schedule a technician for the next day (Friday), but I was not going to be available that day so we went for the following Monday. He gave me a five-hour window, and said the technician would call 30 minutes before arrival. On Monday, the technician called around the middle of the five-hour window, and was at my house in about 30 minutes. After examining the oven, he diagnosed a fault in the Electronic Range Control (the oven's circuit board). Unfortunately, due to the age of the oven, the part is no longer manufactured. So, he prepared an estimate for the cost of removing the board, sending it to a third party to be rebuilt, and reinstalling it: around $500, less the $80 I was paying for this initial service call He was very upfront about the downsides of doing such a repair: the rebuilt board would only have a 90 day warranty, and the total cost would be close to that of purchasing a new oven/range of similar size and type. I told him I would need to think about it, and he did not pressure me to go for the repair, nor he did try to push me towards purchasing a new one from any specific seller. I ultimately decided to purchase a new oven/range from a retail appliance chain store, at a cost just a little over the repair estimate. Although I did not opt for the repair, the service call and estimate were very helpful in making my decision, and I would definitely call this company again in the future for appliance repairs.

With just the fiddling around he did with it, he got it to work better than I did. I was have trouble with the gas igniters firing. He assured us that we weren't in any
, but that some point we'd have to replace it. The former repair person (another company) said we were in
of it exploding. This gentleman was able to explain our range and I feel comfortable with his service. He didn't stay any longer than he needed to, but was hoping he could help. Wished I could remember his name -- very competent. Think I will stick w/this range until I'm forced to purchase. I do not like the new ranges (gas).

I purchased a deal on Angie's List - $100 worth of work for $49.
Columbus Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
was flexible on making arrangements to meet me at my house. He arrived early (yay!) and took only 15 or 20 minutes to assess the situation. Turns out, my fridge has too many issues to fix. I appreciated his honesty. So, for only $49, I know what I need to do now. I was happy with his professionalism and honesty. I really thought it would be more like $70 or $80 to have someone out to look at it, so $49 seems like a good deal to me.

We knew the coin had gotten outside the internal wash drum. We had another company come out , but they could not figure out where the coin was or how to get it out. The noise was horrible. I contacted Maytag. They stated the only authorized dealer in Columbus was
Columbus Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
. They were friendly on the phone and quick to respond. After speaking with them I was under the impression the $86 service charge would be applied to my repair. The service technician was excellent!! He was at my house 30 minutes. He took a hanger, put electrical tape on it and I provided forceps for him to reach in & grasp the coin. He never had to move the machine or take anything apart. I was charged $234. I called
Columbus Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
and told them I thought this was outrageous. They said they don't charge by the hour, but by the job. They even stated they had discounted the price. Obviously I should change professions if one can make $234 for 1/2 hour of work. I must stress the technician was outstanding.

I called

at 8:15 am and
Columbus Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
was able to get out to repair my refrigerator by noon the same day. He was very professional and got the job done quickly. In addition, there was another part that was needed to make the job complete, which he did not have with him. So, he offered to come back in a few days to complete this last minor repair with no extra trip charge. The service from this company was fast, completely professional, efficient and overall excellent!

The provider had all the information about the washer before they came to say that they did not have the timer that was needed. Ok, but when a customer pays $80.00 for a diagnostic, a professional company supports customers to resolve the problem by going to the next step.
I wrote an email to express my disappointment in paying $80.00 and then being told they couldn't provide the timer for that model. The written response is below. There was no attempt to give additional help. I was informed that it was my responsibility to tell them the age of the washer so that they might have explained over the phone the risks of having a house call with no result and advise against having them come to the house.
Here is the text of the email I received:
When you go online to request service, that is exactly what you did, request service. A timer not advancing can be several issues, and in this case bad timer. We cannot determine that over phone, just speculate, which is what you are doing in your message. We confirmed with you on 6/2 for trip out. You state you could have done online diagnosis yourself, but did not and had us to come out. We did our due diligence and did nothing wrong here. The part being NLA, not in our control, and since you think online is
best, you could have found that out before we ever arrived. Sorry you feel slighted, but we do what we are requested to do and follow procedures.

I contacted

regarding an error message on the control panel of my
Columbus Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
Oasis dryer that repeatedly caused the dryer to stop working.
Columbus Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
answered my call and was at my residence within 30 minutes. He quickly identified the cause of the problem, explained in detail what parts were needed for the repair and the total cost of the repair.
Columbus Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
had to leave to acquire the required parts but quickly returned and had the dryer repaired in a very short period. Unfortunately during the repair a small part was damaged. Frankly, I probably would never have noticed the damage since it was an internal part. However,
Columbus Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
immediately brought it to my attention while admitting he was responsible. He replaced the part at his expense while repeatedly apologizing. He is by far the most honest repair person I have ever met and in the future, he will be the first person I call whenever I need an appliance repaired. It is refreshing in this day and age to meet a business person with such integrity and concern for customer service. I wish that I could give this company and

an A+++.

Somehow the heating wire got knocked off so the dryer did not heat after they left. The repairman came back 2 days later as they were already booked for the following day. It worked fine after that.
