Appliance Repair Reviews in Columbus

I woke up one morning to a mini pond on my floor around my refrigerator. I immediately panicked because I didn't know what was happening a didn't want it to continue leaking to my basement. I called
and could not be happier with them. I explained to them what was going on, they had someone out THAT day. Apparently the water line broke and the water was leaking from there. The gentlemen repaired it right then and there and explained to me what to do it it ever happens again. Will definitely call northwest if I ever have any problems in the future

I called
at 10:30 a.m. on a Saturday and he was at my house at 12:45 p.m. and had the fridge fixed in under an hour. I was very impressed and will definitely call again if I need appliance repair.

Appliance Repair reviews in Columbus

Actually had another company scheduled to come take a look. Found the "Big Deal" on Angie's List. After comparing the two deals listed I picked the one that seemed best, Large appliance repair for $126, & cancelled the other appointment.

called the next day & scheduled an appointment to take a look. He showed up at the scheduled time & took a look at the dryer. He then explained what would need to be done & wrote me an estimate that totaled over $400. I asked about the "Big Deal" that said the repair would be $126. He said the deal was actually $126 for $140 of service, essentially a 10% discount off the first $140. I explained that this wasn't the way the deal read when I looked it up on my phone. This deal said large appliance repair for $126. The other deal available was $49 toward $100 worth of service. I showed him the two deals on my computer & he agreed the wording was ambiguous. I wasn't sure whose issue it was as far as the wording of the deal so I told

I wanted to move forward with the repairs & I would contact Angie's List to straighten out the "Big Deal". We scheduled an appointment for the repairs. I called Angie's List & spoke to

& she agreed the deal was worded to imply the repair would only cost $126. She offered to switch me to the $49 toward $100 deal but I thought Angie's List should cover the difference between $126 & the cost of repairs.

couldn't authorize that & said she would have someone from the Big Deal dept call me the next day since it was after hours. No one from Angie's List called me the next day, a Friday, so we went the weekend with no resolution. As I was getting ready to call on Monday I received an e-mail from Angie's List saying they could switch me to the other deal. I called the person who sent the e-mail but had to leave a vm. I explained the situation & the resolution I was seeking & asked that she call me back. Toward the end of the day my call hadn't been returned so I called back. I again explained the situation & the resolution I was seeking. She said the fine print indicated the deal was for labor only & the best she could do was switch me over to the other deal. I was pretty frustrated that she wouldn't at least acknowledge the deal was very poorly worded, especially when compared side by side to the other deal. Her response again was the fine print. I told her it was disappointing for a company that relies on reputation as much as Angie's List to rely on fine print to bail them out of a poorly worded deal. I asked her to please switch me to the other deal & to promptly cancel my membership. She switched me & said I was paid through February & my membership would expire then.

came back as scheduled & finished the repair on my dryer. He felt bad about the poor wording on the deal & said he wanted to take $50 off the repair. He also said he intended to contact Angie's List & either remove the deal or reword it. I appreciated

's gesture & would definitely recommend him. He was prompt & made the repairs in a timely fashion. My experience with Angie's List on the other hand was very disappointing. I will definitely accept my share of the blame for not reading the fine print thoroughly, but the deal shouldn't be so poorly worded that you have to rely on the fine print. I thought the person I spoke with was a bit dismissive & wouldn't even acknowledge the deal was poorly worded. The whole thing could be fixed by adding the word "toward" to the $126 deal. In fact, the $126 deal should be removed altogether since you only save $14 compared to $51 with the other deal. Maybe Angie's List makes a percentage off these deals & a percent of a larger number is a larger profit.

was the technician who came to my home. He went above and beyond his required task. Having removed the old microwave, he alerted me to damage to the wall behind it, and recommended that I have it repaired before installing the new microwave. I really appreciated his professional advice. It took extra time and effort for him, since getting the wall repair done meant that

would have to come back a second time. He was extremely courteous, patient, and professional about assessing my situation with a damaged wall, even though it would require extra time and attention on his part--at no extra charge to me. Once I had the wall repaired, he came back and finished the microwave installation. In between these two dates, I had to call

multiple times with questions about the wall repair (for example, drywall or tile?) and what would work best for installing the new microwave. The office staff is also superb: polite and very knowledgeable. This is a small, family-run company, and the attention to detail is excellent.

The service technician actually LISTENED to my description of the problem! Not only that, he LISTENED to what I had already done (I had turned off the waterline to the ice maker), my description of the results I'd had, and my description of on-going issues. He asked me several pertinent questions (NO jargon). Because I understood his questions, I was able to answer them, quickly ruling out the defroster. Fixing the problem required moving the refrigerator (no easy task), and sure enough, there was a break in the waterline. It was a quick fix.
The technician was extremely courteous and respectful. I would certainly call this company again.

My 30+ year old oven had begun having a problem - it would frequently turn off after attempting to set the temperature - so after reading the reviews on Angie's List, I called

for help. The gentleman who answered the phone was polite and offered to schedule a technician for the next day (Friday), but I was not going to be available that day so we went for the following Monday. He gave me a five-hour window, and said the technician would call 30 minutes before arrival. On Monday, the technician called around the middle of the five-hour window, and was at my house in about 30 minutes. After examining the oven, he diagnosed a fault in the Electronic Range Control (the oven's circuit board). Unfortunately, due to the age of the oven, the part is no longer manufactured. So, he prepared an estimate for the cost of removing the board, sending it to a third party to be rebuilt, and reinstalling it: around $500, less the $80 I was paying for this initial service call He was very upfront about the downsides of doing such a repair: the rebuilt board would only have a 90 day warranty, and the total cost would be close to that of purchasing a new oven/range of similar size and type. I told him I would need to think about it, and he did not pressure me to go for the repair, nor he did try to push me towards purchasing a new one from any specific seller. I ultimately decided to purchase a new oven/range from a retail appliance chain store, at a cost just a little over the repair estimate. Although I did not opt for the repair, the service call and estimate were very helpful in making my decision, and I would definitely call this company again in the future for appliance repairs.

With just the fiddling around he did with it, he got it to work better than I did. I was have trouble with the gas igniters firing. He assured us that we weren't in any

, but that some point we'd have to replace it. The former repair person (another company) said we were in

of it exploding. This gentleman was able to explain our range and I feel comfortable with his service. He didn't stay any longer than he needed to, but was hoping he could help. Wished I could remember his name -- very competent. Think I will stick w/this range until I'm forced to purchase. I do not like the new ranges (gas).

I have used

three times in last several months. Every time they have been prompt, professional and very proficient at the task(s) that need to be completed. I have also had my significant other use them recently for an interior door replacement/install and again all went extremely well.

Bill called ahead of time prior to the appointment. Arried right on time. Diagnosed and fixed the problem within an hour. Reasonable price. A pleasant experience and definitely recommend.

I purchased a deal on Angie's List - $100 worth of work for $49.
Columbus Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
was flexible on making arrangements to meet me at my house. He arrived early (yay!) and took only 15 or 20 minutes to assess the situation. Turns out, my fridge has too many issues to fix. I appreciated his honesty. So, for only $49, I know what I need to do now. I was happy with his professionalism and honesty. I really thought it would be more like $70 or $80 to have someone out to look at it, so $49 seems like a good deal to me.
