's team showed up every day at the stated time and kept the work area as neat as possible for the duration of the project.  It was apparent throughout the project that his team was very skilled and took pride in their work.  Shortly after the project was completed, I discovered some cracking in one of the newly plastered walls.

As most people reading this with any experience with major remodels know, one of the biggest challenges with contractors is the "drama." Groans at change orders, irrationally shifting pricing, people not showing up on time and doing what they committed to do, people tolerating poor quality and giving you attitude when you suggest that something could have been done better, etc.

and his crew exhibit no drama. None. They are consumate professionals. Indeed, they are almost flat-liners with the lack of drama. It would be easy to mistake that for lack of passion. "Do they really know what they are doing?" But they do. Not only do we love our kitchen, but many of our friends and acquaintances have had Stump Brothers do their work (before and after our job) and loved them for the same reasons: high-quality work and no drama."

As mentioned above, the first roofer I had scheduled to repair the flat roof over the sunroom was unable to do the work due to over-scheduling. ...more did it, and for a couple hundred dollars less than the first guy. Then...unfortunately, as they were re-plastering the sun room, another water leak occured due to an ice dam. They gave me a recommendation for someone to repair the tile roof and chimney, which worked out well. Since it was now winter, we had to wait until spring to finish the job. They returned as soon as possible.
