"When he began work along with a helper ( ), they worked quickly removing wall art/switch and outlet covers, taping baseboards, and moving furniture and covering floors.  At the end of each day they shop-vac'ed the area, put away the tarps, and after checking their work, and asking me to take a look to make sure I was happy ...more with that day's work, would remove tape, reattach covers, and move furniture back into place.  This was a big job over (10 ft high walls, 20ft high stairways, and @1800 sq ft of walls) so the job spanned four days.  It helped that I could give them some space to set up and store their gear in the garage.  Most importantly, the finished job was everything I wanted.

We wanted the trim pre-stained at a factory to save time and keep the fumes away from a pregnant mom.  He went on and on about how this was so hard to find and arrange.  In the end, he found a place, the trim went in in one day, and its beautiful.  I wanted the largest exhaust fan we could get, to suck the hot air out of the house.  He wanted me to take a smaller one because that's what his electrician gets at the one store he shops at.  He said he couldn't find my fan and would have to - oh no - order it through the internet.  We got the fan.  It has 50% more capacity and draws from the peak of the ceiling, like we wanted. We wanted the brick chimneys exposed.  Again, we were told its just easier for the dry-

to cover them.  I insisted, they figured it out, and it looks great. I asked for brown baseboard heaters and he tried to talk me out of that.  We never did get those, but we ended up framing them with trim, which looks quite nice.
