"The workers tore off the old siding, shutters, and gutters inside of two days.
New windows were replaced within three hours.
Siding was dropped off within a few days, and installation began. The siding was done in about 2-3 days.
There was a couple more weeks before the shutters and storm doors were installed.
And there was a small glitch with the gutters, but they were installed quicklt once they were here.
It was a joy to meet such hard working, professional, and personable workers."

"They found the leak and fixed it. He suggested that I also put electric wires in the gutters, so I had him install those for me. They are responsive in scheduling and making their appointments. They also do a good job of cleaning-up after themselves. I have been using them for approximately 5 years. "

"A wind storm pulled down the electric lines, meter, casing, etc, which tore off 4 feet of gutter, facia board and cover plate, and a couple square feet of shingles. The two employees did an excellent job at repairing everything and it took as long as they estimated. The gutter and facia board cover colors were matched well to my house, as were the shingles and caulk colors.
I also asked to have chimney caps installed on my chimney. I didn't know the sizes, so they brought a bunch of different sizes.
I gave them a "C" for responsiveness because it took a few weeks to draw up the proposal/estimate after their on-site visit. They were extremely busy due to a large backlog from houses in area damaged from other storms. Still, it was a full month from when I first called until when the work was completed."

"My 90+ year old garage has seen some sorry modifications and expansions over the years. As a result, the overhang that was built as part of one of these expansions was actually falling away from the main structure. was able to remove and rebuild most of the overhang, as well as install new supporting structure to prevent further sagging. He also tore out and replaced the gutters and some rotted siding on the back of the garage. All the work was done on schedule and on-budget."

"I called for an estimate and received a call back from the estimator the same day. A time was scheduled for him to come out and he arrived promptly, let us know he was there and began measuring the roof and gutters for the materials necessary so that the estimate would be accurate. There was no "eyeballing" of the roof - he went around and actually measured everything. While he was on the roof he actually cleaned out a blocked gutter downspout so that we wouldn't have water seeping into the walls. He was very clear on all charges including what additional charges applied for any wood that would need to be replaced. Once nice feature of this company is that they take digital pictures of all wood that is rotted/damaged and digital pictures of the repaired areas so that there can be no question of whether the additional charges were necessary or not.
The company requests a 10% deposit when the contract is signed.
It took about 4 weeks (due to the weather) before the crews could be scheduled, but once they were, they arrived promptly at 7:30 on the day scheduled (they tell you the arrival time up front) and immediately got to work. All landscaping is protected with tarps and plywood so that debris from the roof tear-off does not damage it. The crew moved statuary and pots before starting work and put it back at the end of the day (they wrap up about 4:30PM). The crew cleans up VERY carefully each day at the end of work so that there are no bits of shingle or roofing nails to damage cars going in and out. In general, putting a new roof on a house is a messy and somewhat noisy business so do not expect to be doing a lot of back and forth outside the house because you WILL have to duck under ladders and be concerned about falling debris. Understand this is not a criticism of the company - they are very good about clearing out of the way for you if you need to get outside for anything. The crew working on my house took a break for lunch 11:00-11:30 or so and another 2:00-2:30 so you might want to plan walking the dog or other outside activities for those periods. When the crew is on break they are so quiet you will not know they are there. The crew is courteous and I heard no obscenities the entire time they were working. It took 2 full days (7:30-4:30) to complete the roof on the house and detached garage.
The gutters were installed about 2 weeks after the roof was done (again due to weather delays). The crew (different crews for roof and gutters) worked about 4 hours overall doing the garage one afternoon and the house the next. The only slight criticism of the roofing crew that I have is that they never really touched base with us when they came and went, they just appeared, did their work, and disappeared again."

"This process did not go as smoothly as I had hoped, based on the company?s credentials. If I were to start all over again here is what I would do differently:
1. Write all verbal assurances into the contract. I asked to be informed if the mold had spread from the platform board to the trusses and was assured this would be done. Communication failed between the salesman and the people doing the work.
2. If ventilation changes are proposed ask the salesman to go into the attic with you and explain what is to change. Once the job is done ask the Absolute inspector to go into the attic with you and explain how the new system works. When he tells you that he has inspected the roof, this only means the outside. We found out 3 weeks after the job was done that the new ventilation system was not working as it was blocked by existing insulation. Moreover the old gable vents had not been blocked off so the new and old ventilation systems were working against each other. Alao bathroom ceiling vents had not been reconnected. Absolute came back and fixed these issues, but there were further materials charges, and I would have expected that if removing the old ventilation system and intalling baffles to lift the insulation were not included then I should have been told that and given the option to include them in the contract, rather than finding out after the fact that I still had a failing system.
3. Ask to be informed if there are ordering or installation delays. Once the roof was done there was a delay in installing the gutters. We were told the reroofing would take 2 days in total, and then the workmen left without any indication of when we could expect completion.
4. If anything like a skylight is to installed ask what the interior finish will look like. We were left with a raw wood finish to the skylight frame in a bathroom. The ceiling board was also torn and stained during the installation process. I showed Absolute?s inspector photos of the interior (we had fixed it in the interim as the house was on the and we needed it to look presentable) and his only comment was that it looked as he would have expected. It wasn?t what I was expecting! If the interior, and particularly where this is a bathroom with its consequent moisture issues, is to be left in an untreated state I think the customer should be made aware of this up front.
The job cost about $400 more than quoted in the original contract. The importance of ventilation was heavily stressed in the sales pitch, so I was very dissatisfied to find out not only that the new system was not working properly, but that there were additional charges to get it working. Moreover, I had to pay other contractors to finish the skylight on the interior.

"I've left several messages but no one ever calls me back. I originally spoke with " " and I've left messages for him by name as well. My gutters need to be repaired, my warranty is in effect and I need help getting their attention."

"We have had major accumulation of ice in our gutters with ice cicles extending from the gutters to the ground. We have never had back up of water into the house, but last winter (2008-09) we did have water accumulate under the facia and ice dislodge several shingles. SB came out in late November. We decided to go with them to repair the roof, seal gutters, and install heating coils on the roof because of the lateness of the season and our positive impression with their initial visit, which occurred within a week of our first telephone contact. We were told up front that the coils needed to be ordered and that installation would depend on the weather. Nevertheless, within two weeks the work was done. We are very satisfied after the cold snap in late December and early January. No long icicles, and the gutters and downspouts appeared to be open and flowing.
Just endured our second severe winter after installation of the coils. Zero accumulation of ice in the gutters. obviously did a very effective installation. Well worth the money spent."

" Wallunis came to see me to generate the quote. He answered all of my questions and prepared the quote before he left. I initially signed my quote and sent it in on 9/11/09. I was told then that they would not be available to me until near the end of October, which concerned me. I checked back and eventually it was confirmed to start 10/23/2009. It was worth the wait. The guys that came were prompt, and were very thorough. The work spanned three business days due to the weather, but they made sure leaks were sealed up during that time. They let me know when they were present and when they were leaving. The yard was as clean as it was before they started, because they made sure any mess was gone. In addition, they pointed out other areas of improvement per my request. The even replaced some minor siding damage for me and cleaned the gutters. I saw no unnecessary work done, and at no time did they come back to me after starting work with additional things that jacked up the cost. Very trustworthy group. One of the owners even came to see the job on the last day. I purposely waited to write this, to make sure the leaks were fixed after a couple of rains, and they indeed are. The guys who worked on my house rock!!!"

"It was time to remodel and update our home exterior. After several quotations from individual companies who could only handle one or two of the desired projects, we finally found a company who is an owner and qualified contrator that could complete the entire project from start to finish. It was so important to deal with one person and company because I wanted quality service and products, a price break, coordination of colors and continuity, and all of this done in the least amount of time! Our project began immediately and logistically flowed from one satisfied job to another. All of the crews and workers were professional, courteous, experienced and there to do an exceptional job. Most of them have worked for this company for numerous years! I could not believe that this could go so smooth. No bad outcomes occured. The house cosmetically looks great because of the work and products used. I am so grateful to for making my experience an easy one!"
