We wanted the trim pre-stained at a factory to save time and keep the fumes away from a pregnant mom.  He went on and on about how this was so hard to find and arrange.  In the end, he found a place, the trim went in in one day, and its beautiful.  I wanted the largest exhaust fan we could get, to suck the hot air out of the house.  He wanted me to take a smaller one because that's what his electrician gets at the one store he shops at.  He said he couldn't find my fan and would have to - oh no - order it through the internet.  We got the fan.  It has 50% more capacity and draws from the peak of the ceiling, like we wanted. We wanted the brick chimneys exposed.  Again, we were told its just easier for the dry-

to cover them.  I insisted, they figured it out, and it looks great. I asked for brown baseboard heaters and he tried to talk me out of that.  We never did get those, but we ended up framing them with trim, which looks quite nice.

My power kept going out, and with it, my furnace, during the coldest time of the year, and did everything he could to make sure I wasn't stuck without power and heat all night, to the point of being on call way past the time most people would stop helping customers. If he hadn't intervened so successfully with the ...more utility company to make sure they came back out to my house a second time and made the repair they should have made the first time, I'd be sitting here right now heading into an ice storm without functional electricity and heat in my home. I am incredibly grateful to have had him go way beyond the extra mile to make sure I wasn't stranded without heat and electricity in the middle of a cold winter night. It was a great experience to encounter a contractor with such integrity and genuine care for a new customer in need of help (without charging me an arm and a leg), and I can't recommend him highly enough."
