We hired Hilliard Electric to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom. When we were cleaning up, we discovered there were some original 80-year-old floor tiles missing.

We also discovered several wires, the switch was installed upside down and we weren't comfortable with the fan installation.

We called them and they seemed hesitant to send someone to make an adjustment. An electrician arrived and tried to remove the fan from the bathroom with his screwdriver, digging at the brand-new fan.

The fan had been installed from the attic and we explained that to him. He became argumentative and was told to leave if he could not do what he was there to do. So, the switch is still upside down, and still no tiles and no Angie's List discount.

DESIRED RESOLUTION: We would like them to reimburse us for the following: Angie's List discount we should've received, replacing the missing tiles and having a licensed electrician put the switch right side up.

The fan was installed into an existing plaster lath ceiling, wired, vented and switches were added. We were very respectful and professional, as we are to all of our customers.

The floor tiles were not there when we started. The switch that was installed is a three switch device that has no right side up or down for on or off, it can be installed either way. The member did not ever mention that she wanted the switch reversed.

No Angie's List coupon was presented or it would've been accepted. I'll send a check for the Angie's List discount.
