When I called to schedule our much-needed hallway drywall job, owner was ...more friendly, accommodating, punctual (returning missed calls), and diligent (in addressing any questions or scheduling issues, we had). He explained that our Angie's List coupon entitled us to either 1 [work]man for up to 4 hours (or 2 for 2 hours, etc.) for $99, excluding the cost of parts. Previous to my scheduling call,

took the time to respond to my fiancee's initial email and replied back, immediately, estimating the job cost, given the size of our hallway, and anticipating completion within the coupon's stipulated timeframe.  In less than two days (which could've been the very next day, as

and his coworker arrived at my door, right on time (as opposed to too early, which I'd mentioned we hated). The duo was neat/clean, professional, efficient, and thorough from start to finish, allowing me to inspect the work, before leaving my house 'n' hallway...now drywalled and looking much better than the team found it, in just under 2 hours. Better still, not only did

make good on his original cost/time estimation, staying within the limits of the $99 coupon, we'd purchased, but he also went above and beyond (for us, brand new customers and dedicated, long-time Angie's List members) by WAIVING THE COST OF PARTS for our job!  In today's tough economy, especially, it would've been SO easy for

We wanted the trim pre-stained at a factory to save time and keep the fumes away from a pregnant mom.  He went on and on about how this was so hard to find and arrange.  In the end, he found a place, the trim went in in one day, and its beautiful.  I wanted the largest exhaust fan we could get, to suck the hot air out of the house.  He wanted me to take a smaller one because that's what his electrician gets at the one store he shops at.  He said he couldn't find my fan and would have to - oh no - order it through the internet.  We got the fan.  It has 50% more capacity and draws from the peak of the ceiling, like we wanted. We wanted the brick chimneys exposed.  Again, we were told its just easier for the dry-

to cover them.  I insisted, they figured it out, and it looks great. I asked for brown baseboard heaters and he tried to talk me out of that.  We never did get those, but we ended up framing them with trim, which looks quite nice.
