"I had worked with this company previously on a washing machine repair job with excellent results. This time I needed them to repair a refrigerator in my tenant-occupied condo. When I called, they took my information down and contacted my tenant right away. The next day they called and said they would be at the condo in 45 minutes or so and that ...more they'd call to confirm the repair and the charges. I would then give them my credit card over the phone. I never got a call back, so I assumed that my tenant was not home and that they would go at a later time. Three days later, after not having heard anything, I called them to check on the status of the job. They apparently had already gone and completed the work without verifying it with me first. They claim it was a mistake on the part of the technician, that he just "got sidetracked" and forgot to call. I spoke to my tenant who confirmed that the work was done and said that they took the kick plate off the fridge, which was rusted, and laid it by the trash can, leaving the coils exposed. I spoke to them again about this and they said the fridge was too old and that no replacement kick plate exists. They did have a couple of used refrigerators that I could purchase for a reasonable price plus delivery. I told them I'd consider it and get back to them. The next day we spoke again. I offered to purchase a fridge from them and asked if they would consider applying the charge for the work already completed to the cost of the fridge and delivery. They immediately took offense to my offer, claiming that I was trying to get out of paying for the work or "make a deal" with them. In fact, I was offering to spend an additional $300 with minor compensation for the fact they completed work without calling me to confirm first. They stated, in a very rude, rough manner, that the two had nothing to do with each other and that they "can't even believe I would ask them to do that." I immediately stopped the argument, told them to charge my card for the work they had done and that I would not be doing business with them again. "
