Cincinnati Tree Services Reviews

"We had contracted with
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
to remove numerous old, large, trees in our backyard during the winter months.
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
exceeded our expectations for this project. The trees to be removed were extremely old and large and in some instances very close to other trees. The crew that was sent out did a fantastic job of not only cutting down the trees but was meticulous in cleaning up debris from the yard as the removal was occurring. The crew was extremely professional. The owner of the company sent an additional crew on the last day to complete the job on time. I would give
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
an A plus and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking tree removal
"I needed a tree trimmed, so I called GFL.
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
came out, gave me an estimate on the tree, and recommended some other work, which I didn't take him up on, but he didn't give me the hard sell. The next day, or a few days later, his crew came out and did the work. No complaints -- they even hauled off some unrelated branches from the backyard, at no extra charge. The reason they get a D across the board is because of what they did to a friend of mine a few months later. Around Thanksgiving they had a job across the street from my friend's house. My friend was out of town for the holiday, and on the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day itself, they put a notice on the windshield of his car -- legally parked right in front of his house -- saying he had until 9 the next morning to move it or it would be towed. His dogsitter saw the notice and informed my friend, but there was nothing they could do because my friend hadn't left his car keys (why would he have thought he needed to?). So his car was towed, to the tune of $200. He tried to take it up with GFL, but they thoroughly blew him off. He was able to figure out where the permit for the notice had been filed, went there, and found

's name on the paperwork.

"I feel like I was being attacked by an
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
:) Yesterday they called (I had asked to be put on their list for sometime after the first of the year) and asked if today would be alright... I said yes. Then around 9:00 or so they pulled up. Trucks towing trailers and equipment. The men jumped out of the trucks and began laying plywood on my front lawn to protect it from their truck. Some were cutting limbs off the giant Ash while others were taking down the tree in the back yard and grinding a stump. They cleaned up the entire mess and I wrote them a check. We have used
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
over the years and they have always been "Top Notch" - this time was no exception, they were great!
"I am very displeased with the responsiveness, billing, and professionalism of
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
. We were quoted a price of $1595 for removal of big elm tree in our back yard. There was an option for removal of the wood from the site for $200 but stated we could save that amount if they left the wood in 2 - 3 ft lengths. We opted to have them leave the wood because we had a relative that could use it for firewood. After rescheduling twice they finally came out to do the work but couldn't do the job because their equipment didn't work. They came back the next day to do the job and removed the tree as agreed to. The foreman came to tell me they were leaving and wanted to confirm everything looked good. I went outside to look at it and there was wood everywhere. My neighbors back yard and my yard was littered with branches and big pieces of stump far larger than agreed to. The foreman said they didn't have any more gas to cut them down any more and that's what they were told to do. After leaving an email with their "customer service" they agreed to come back out and take some of the pieces that were so large we couldn't even move. They still left so much wood it took 4 hours of personal labor and 5 pickup truck loads to get rid of all the wood. Imagine my surprise when we get the bill and they charged us the $200 for taking and chipping all the wood which they did not. We had to call several times, leave voice mails, and email to finally get a response. By that time (2 days later) we got a notice of it potentially being sent to collections. They agreed to take $100 off the $200 price but said the few pieces of wood they took and driving back required $100 charge. Regardless of that not being our fault and the fact that they inconvenienced us multiple times rescheduling and having to come back because their equipment didn't work we agreed because we didn't want to deal with it anymore. We said we wanted an invoice to show the updated amount before we paid that and they agreed to send one. A few days later we get a "final notice" to pay the amount before being sent to collections but still didn't get an updated invoice. We called to speak to someone at 4pm on Wednesday and no surprise it goes to voice mail. The way they handled everything from start to finish once they had a signed contract was incredibly unprofessional. In my line of work, if we screw something up we fix the issue and apologize instead of accusing the customer of being in the wrong immediately and not following through on what you say you're going to do. I would never do business with

"Service was provided on a reasonable schedule. Crew was very professional and equipment: crane, shredder & front loader all proper for the job and in good condition. Other than doing well what they were contracted to do, the best things I can say about them is how professional and COURTEOUS the foreman and crew were. They cleaned up better than I expected after finishing the job. They had proper insurance and references. Will definitely call them again for similar work.
"Work for bid contract was incomplete. Other work was completed OK but so so, but some was not well done. Grinding stump was not completed at all. Did not have necessary equipment to complete the job that day but said they would be back to complete grinding stump. Said grinder was in the shop and they would call to schedule return when repaired which turned out to be a lie.
Owner lists on his business card he is proud member of Angie's List, which apparently is another lie. I was told the company operates out of the
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
Ohio area and has crews that leave the area and do work in many communities as far south as Cincinnati/Northern Ky, North to Columbus and all points of the compass in a radius of 100 miles.
I have called the Company about 4 times to try to get the work completed or a refund of the current
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
pricing of $50 to grind a stump. So far I have been unsuccessful.

"I had a lot of tree branches that had grown up against my house. I purchased the Big Deal and used it to get the branches removed. Spider did a great job trimming back branches and in cleaning up everything that was cut down. My house is a lot safer now.
"I called them a week or so before Thanksgiving to proceed with the removal. I didn't hear from them. After Thanksgiving I called them again and they said they would get to it "next week". Next week came, no call from them. I called them. They said they would get to it "this week by the end of the week". I asked them what day and they said the would call me later in the week to let me know. By Thursday I had not heard from them. I called them. "Yes, they would get to it today or tomorrow." Tomorrow came and I didn't hear anything by late morning. I called them. They said they were loading the truck and would be there within the hour(It was 9am). 2 hours later I called them again. They said they would check and called me back. They didn't call me back. 3 hours later I called them again.
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
apologized and said "this is not how we do business". He promised to call me back in an hour. 3 hours later with no call back I am now writing this review. Now it's snowing outside so they will probably say, sorry we don't cut trees in the snow and besides we have to do snow removal for our other customers. It wasn't raining or snowing yesterday. I would never use these people in the future.
"We had a damaged 95-foot elm that we had cabled together, limbed up, and lived with because the estimates for removing it were so high (generally about $6000). A friend introduced us to
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
, who agreed to take down that tree and two others for $3400. Almost too good to be true! But it wasn't. Junior and his crew did a great job.
The trees were not readily accessible, which is one reason earlier estimates were so high, but these guys knew how to handle it. They carefully cabled and lifted limbs and sections of the trunks with their crane, lowered them gently onto the driveway, where they sawed the trunks and chipped the limbs, then loaded everything into their trucks. The crane operator told me they removed about 40 tons of wood that day!
They came when they said they would, were courteous and professional, and cleaned up behind themselves. If we had discovered
Cincinnati Tree Services Provider Name Locked
earlier, we could have saved ourselves a lot of time, money and landscape damage from falling limbs. I highly recommend them and will use them again when the need arises.
