"One morning I went to the basement and saw raw sewage had come up from the floor drain. We had and check it out. They sent a serviceman and he ran a snake through the line. When he withdrew the snake it had tree roots attached. He suggested they send another serviceman with a camera. (he even came on a Sunday!) I was with him ...more as he ran the camera through the entire length of the pipe. Our house was built with three foot clay tiles that had separated due to the soil settling. Tree roots has been able to grow into almost every joint that was separated. They ran a cutter through the line to clear it for the short term. It has been raining almost every day and ground water was leaking into the sewer line. They explained that the epoxy they used in this lining process wouldn't cure with all of the water running through the pipe and they would have to wait until the rain stopped. It took two weeks for the rain to stop long enough to line the pipe. It's a really nice solution to the problem. We now have a seemless pipe from our house all the way to the main sewer. The only sign they were here is a small cemented hole in my basement about 2 feet wide by 3 feet long. These folks did a fantastic job. If you are faced with a similar problem, please consider this process."

"The install went quite smoothly.  Valves were replaced, and the plumber explained to me exactly what he'd done.  Though I'd not requested it in my initial phone call, he also performed a connection between drain lines.  He seemed rather concerned about doing so, repeatedly stressing that he couldn't be responsible for the existing work ...more (i.e. the drain line installed in the sink or the existing drain line to which it was being connected).  This seemed obvious to me, but I suppose it makes sense if people have complained about unrelated work in the past.  In any case, the drain line was connected succesfully as well."
