We called Carver & Sons in March to give us an estimate for our master bathroom. They came out to photograph and take measurements very quickly after our initial call. We worked with
Carver and he was very punctual, polite, and had a great attention to detail. My husband and I did our due diligence, and collected several different quotes for the project. I will say that Carver's was the most expensive. We decided that since this was a project we would likely only do once, we should do it right.
Carver gave us a very organized plan and invited us to his showroom to discuss the finer points and pick out materials. It was great to be able to go to one place and see and touch all of the materials.
called us a week before they were scheduled to start work to tell us they were able to start early! This was very exciting, given the fact that our bathroom was completely out of commission! The crew arrived early on that Monday morning and got straight to work.
and
were very nice and hardworking. They were great with our 3 young children always asking questions and our yellow lab always under their feet! They were very good about keeping us informed with their progress and checking with us about how we wanted things to look as they went. Everything stayed on schedule and the end result is absolutely beautiful! I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and Carver & Sons has reaffirmed that for us! In my mind, this was money well spent! Looking forward to having Carver & Sons create a new kitchen for us in the future! We have told everyone we know what a great experience this was, and will continue to tell anyone who will listen. We are currently the first set of pictures on their website under portfolio, and then click on bathrooms (if you are interested in seeing the beautiful transformation)!

It is difficult to list all of the problems with the kitchen remodel:
- the project took much longer than promised, at a cost much higher than estimated (cost over-runs were promptly added to the estimate updates, while I had to doggedly follow-up on each cost-saving change made to compensate)
- the "clean up" everyday consisted of pushing construction debris through holes in the floor into my basement storage space. I discovered this when I went to get Christmas decorations out. It was a nightmare to clean up at that point.
- there were many problems with the custom cabinets - from none of the shelves installed properly to doors that didn't close properly. It took 3 follow-ups before they worked properly.
- I came home one day to "splashing" carpet in my basement. After searching for a leak, I called
, who explained that they had accidentally cut into some plumbing that day. I told him he had to clean up the resulting water in the basement. While he cleaned up the water, a few months after the kitchen was finished, I noticed a horrid smell in my garage. He had used my shopvac and not emptied out the dirty water. The smell was stomach-turning and the shopvac was ruined.
- I smelled melted plastic the first time I used my new
. When I searched for the manual to be sure I hadn't done anything wrong, I realized that Van's crew had
it in the middle of all the manuals for the new appliances. It was burned with melted plastic stuck to the covers. My conclusion is that they tested the oven before removing the plastic bag of information inside and then tried to cover it up.
- There were numerous things missing from my garage during construction. Van acted offended when I asked him about some of them, but in the end I was missing: extension cords, a circular saw, a set of screwdrivers, and a five-
bucket. Van replaced the bucket.
- a few months after the kitchen was finished, I realized there was a slow leak under the sink. I had my regular plumber check it, and the joints were not fitted correctly. He ended up needing to rework the plumbing under the sink.
While my kitchen is more functional and better-looking than the original, I attribute the improvement to a superior design, moreso than
. I regret hiring
and would advise others against hiring him.

This work was performed at a home I rent out. The linoleum floor had a tear in it so I decided to get quotes to have tile installed as it is more durable, looks nicer and add resale value. I had considered doing the job myself after I had received a few quotes. After I prepped the floor, purchased the tile, grout and cement board

called to check on the job. He met me at the house and looked everything over. He suggested I replace the tile in front of the fireplace as well, as it was dated. After seeing I had completed all the prep work he provided another quote more in line with my budget.

and his son arrived on Saturday and began the installation. They installed the cement board in the kitchen and laid most of the tile. I could not be at the house on Sunday due to a family commitment so they let themselves in via a lockbox and completed all of the work. On Monday they came back at the agreed upon time and sealed the grout. They also sealed the grout in both of the bathrooms, at my request. Everything went very well and I would use them again. It saved me a lot of times as I had other things to do to finished prepping the house.

We were looking for a contractor to manage a small remodel in the master bath, primarily to replace the current countertops with a quality granite.

Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
met with us to understand what we wanted and what the scope of the job was. He gave us a rough idea of what was involved but as the major cost was the materials (granite), he would provide a precise estimate once we had chosen the granite but before purchasing it or starting any work.

made the arrangements to look at and select a granite slab, met us there, and helped pick out the slab. We picked out the sink and faucet following the granite selection. With all this information

was able to provide us with a detailed quote which we accepted.

's workers removed the existing countertops and the plate glass mirrors in preparation for the granite company to come and make the accurate measurements to cut the granite. Following this, he went with us to ensure the proposed cuts in the granite captured the features in the slab we wanted. The granite was installed by the granite company and the following day,

"
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
came over to our house to measure our kitchen and family room for a complete remodel. At the time, I had reached out to some other contractors but I felt comfortable with
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and felt that he was honest and would be good to work with.
Some unforeseen circumstances came up that caused us to move our plans back a few months. He completely understood and told us just to contact him when we were ready.
A few months later, I called him and asked if we could do the remodel in stages starting with the installing of canned lighting and the smoothing of some very ugly textured ceilings. He said it would be no problem and quickly gave us a bid which I found to be reasonable. He came out the first day with his crew and walked through the process and answered all questions that I had. The workers were very professional and very clean. The job took about 3 days and at the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves which elimated the tracking of dirt and dust throughout the rest of the house. After the job was completed,
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
followed up to make sure that we were satified.
I look forward to working with
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and his team to complete the rest of the remodeling in our kitchen.
I would recommend him for any job."

If you want an abrasive used car salesman to pitch you something that you don't actually want done, then
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
are the company for you. After telling
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
the scope of work that I would like completed(not a $15k complete remodel), he got very combative and unnerved. I simply asked for some suggestions and a price to freshen up my bath before selling the house, and he was obviously disinterested in what I wanted and more concerned about pitching me something that would make the most money for his company and himself. Never again.

Salesman came out on 7/7/14 to look at a complete master bath remodel. Replace double vanity and sink, remove all stand up shower and replace with all tile including the floor, new tile around whirlpool tub, new tile bath/water closet floor and 2 walkin closets. After TWO weeks of waiting for the estimate I called them asking about it, I was told that it would take two more days. Received call two days later saying it would be another couple of days. Asked a manager or owner to call use today, received call and was told that the sales have been very good but they were busy working with signed customers and needed a few more days to completed ours. If we wanted he could ask the salesman to not send the estimate. I feel this is a local business that does not want or need any additional customers. I hope they do better work than they do with sales. I have opted out of an estimate, but wish I could have supported a local business even though I have heard they are very high priced.

I first called & left a message for
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
on 6/5. I need a door and window on a wall removed & a patio door installed there. No response. I called and left another message 6/19. No response. Called again 6/26 (third time should be the charm, right?). A day or so later I got a message back that they "don't do this kind of work". Nice...

Flash forward..... the caulk at the base of the commode has eroded (I've recaulked it twice) and the bathroom is smelly. I can only assume that the ring on the commode Mr.
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
installed was not installed correctly and my bathroom floor is now being submerged in smelly sewage. I called Mr.
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, in February 2014 and scheduled an appointment for March 7, 2014. He cancelled via text msg and a msg on my home phone, an hour before he was to arrive and said to "reschedule in a few weeks, could do a Saturday" that his son was ill. Understandable. (I had taken the day off of work). April 7, 2014, contact Mr.
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, he relays that he is really busy and maybe in a few weeks. (Bathroom is getting really smelly with the warmer weather) April 15, 2014, contact Mr.
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, he relays it will be at least 2 and a half weeks. June 14, 2014, I email Mr.

and let him know that I will just have call a plumber. June 16, Mr

responds apologizing again and how he is overbooked. Mr.

installed the ring on the commode and I expected him to take a look at his work and find out what the issue was and to repair same. I take issue that he dismissed it the first time as urination. Now I have to pay someone to repair his work. Ugh!!

It could not have gone better for such a major project.
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked

are true craftsmen. They took my 1988 salmon marble and gold shower trimmed nightmare of a bathroom into a cottage style hotel worthy masterpiece. Communication was constant and when there were any questions

Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Cincinnati Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
are perfectionists and several occasions were not happy with the quality of materials that were provided so they took them back and got new ones that they were happy with - I believe that other contractors would have just slapped the tile or marble up there and been done with it. One such example was the marble top for my vanity - it had a slight crack two times and both times they took it back to be fixed and finally had the tile shop make me an entirely new top without adding any time to the project. Kind of unheard of in this day and age of crappy customer service! They included me in every step and made sure I was happy with everything that was being done. The quality of work is very important to them and it shows in my new bathroom. They were exceeding neat and cleaned up every day - my house didn't even look like it was being renovated, they took care of it. Bottom line is that I have 2 other bathrooms that need to be done and I wouldn't even think about calling anyone else to do this work. Quality, professionalism, price - you can't beat it! Thanks so much
