Cincinnati HVAC Contractors Reviews

"From the initial free estimate given by

to a follow up visit, the company was completely honest and professional. They explained all options for installation and financing and did not push for the replacement of the air conditioner as well (as another local company did). Granted I knew it would probably need replacing soon as well. Even though I had made an appointment fro installation and they were busy at the time, two installers came at an earlier date at night to install the furnace and were finished in less than 3 hours. They answered all my questions during the process and cleaned up very well after they finished.
I plan on calling them again when I do decide to replace the air conditioner and would give them my highest recommendation.
"The service tech was to the house in good time. He diagnosed the problem and was very professional. We had an issue that required an electrician. Given the lateness of the call I felt the service fee was more than reasonable.
"Went fine. I learned some things about how the original installation was not really done most effectively by another provider.
What is annoying is the hounding to write a review. Calling my cell phone, giving me paperwork and pursuing me until I agree to write the review may be the reason I don't use them in the future. It's not that I didn't want to write it, it's that I didn't appreciate the pressure to do so. The review seemed to be more important than the actual experience I had with the work.
"I have an annual contract with Knockelmann for maintenance of my heating and air conditioning system. They come twice a year to inspect and maintain the equipment they installed a few years ago (maybe 4 years?). They offer plenty of scheduling choices, call to tell me when they're on the way and are always prompt. Also always professional, friendly and informative. Well worth $189/yr. to know that someone besides me is paying attention to preventive maintenance.
"The gentleman arrived on time, put on shoe covers so he wouldn't track in any dirt. It took him about an hour -- nothing was wrong, just a yearly maintenance -- gave me some good advice about not having to purchase expensive filters -- I decided that I would get a twice a year contract with them -- they were that professional. Really exceptional service.
"We bought a 50 year old house in November 2013 and asked the sellers to have the oil furnace serviced. They had another company come out but found black soot on the basement floor around the furnace and black soot all over the front porch. I called that company that performed the work and they sent the technician back out. He cleaned the flue and installed a new nozzle. For a week all looked good, then we noticed the same issues. This is when I signed up for Angie's List and reviewed the Heating companies in the area and decided to go with

showed up, as he is their oil furnace specialist, and started by checking the flue, which was very sooty, then proceeded to check the heat exchanger, which was coated with black soot. He cleaned everything and also found a piece of insulation that was loose and appeared to prevent good air/oil mix for combustion. He removed the material and adjusted the mix. I put white paper on the floor to monitor the soot build up and as

stated, there was a little soot for the first few days, but then very little soot could be found around the furnace. Our front porch is covered with snow which makes it real easy to monitor the soot build up and there doesn't appear to be any. Yes, I'm still holding my breath, but I think the problem may really be fixed. I will continue to monitor throughout this winter and will provide an update if anything changes. As of now, I highly recommend Bochrath.
"All went as expected. I spoke with the office on Monday afternoon and they scheduled a visit for Tuesday morning. The tech showed up and the job was complete within an hour. He was polite and professional. My home warranty is who provided the name and number for the company. The $100.00 was my deductible for the home warranty. I'm sure it would have been much more with the home warranty insurance policy.
"Overall this was an excellent experience.

his protective "booties" he got to work. He was very thorough and left a detailed chart attached to our furnace which showed the results of all the tests he did. I have had a tune-up done on this furnace every year it has been in (15) by various companies. This was by far the the most comprehensive. I highly recommend

We had a new HVAC (heat pump and air handler) installed in May 2013 by

Installers were prompt, efficient, professional; removed old system, cleaned up. All was good.
Within a month, the system stopped cooling.

technician showed up and discovered the coil inside the

rhandler was frozen into a block of ice.
Next day, after unit thawed, a different technician showed up, spent quite a bit of time trying to analyze what was wrong.
He was unable to find a cause; system then worked correctly. Company followed up and offered to check system
again in a month.
Then in December, cold time, the system didn't seem to be heating well. Again, we got an almost immediate service response.
This time the technician spent about 3 1/2 HOURS; checked everything, analyized all components. Many companies set a time limit; if they can't fix it fast, move on to the next.
It Turns out the problem was in the configuration of the original system at the factory. Technician stayed until he had figured out what was wrong and fixed it.
I couldn't be more impressed with this company's attention to detail and determination to GET IT RIGHT.
Their price was great; provided cost-effective financing as well.
In my business career I learned it was easier to keep a customer than to find a new one.

follows that model.

"We have used this company for several years. They have always been prompt and priced fairly. They do not pressure us to upgrade our system and always explain the issues and fix our problem.
