Hvac Reviews in Cincinnati

I'm really surprised that this happened, because this company receives such stellar reviews, but unfortunately we had a pretty bad experience.
We bought the $55 furnace tune-up through Angie's List. I will say that everyone I spoke to at this company, from the scheduler to the tech, were very pleasant and professional. We scheduled the service for December 10, which ended up being five days after my son was born. The tech was punctual, professional and very nice, but after looking at the furnace he came
back upstairs and told us the entire thing needed to be replaced. Actually, he said it was a carbon monoxide hazard and that it wasn't really in "working order." I was holding a five-day old baby and he was basically telling us that we were risking carbon monoixde poisoning if we continued to run the furnace as it was.
Of course we took this seriously and agreed to have someone else from
come out to give us an estimate asap on a new furnace. My husband ran out immediately and bought multiple carbon monoxide detectors. In the mean time, I called our home warranty company to ask about the process for having this work done. They informed me that
wasn't on their list of vendors and we'd need to have another company come out to look at the furnace.
Shortly after, I received a call from a scheduler at
who was prepared to send someone else out the same day to give us an estimate on a new furnace. I told that unfortunately we couldn't use
because of our home warranty guidelines, but thanked her for the quick response.
The next day, a tech from the other, warranty-approved company came to our house and inspected the furnace. He told us there was nothing wrong with it, and essentially the tech from
was trying to scam us. Presumably this guy could have gone along with what we'd been told by
and sold us a brand new furnace, covered by the warranty company, but he chose to tell us that he saw no evidence of a problem and didn't think we needed to be concerned.
Obviously we kept multiple carbon monoxide detectors around the house as we ran the furnace during one of the worst winters on record, and there was no problem.
At this point I have to believe the tech from
was lying, which makes me even more angry because he saw that we had a
and what he told us obviously made us scared for his safety.

My furnace was blowing cold air for a few days and I called several companies to get someone out to repair it. My main concern was getting it fixed fast so I knew there was a
I'd end up paying more than necessary if I just went with anyone. I probably could have gotten a better price if I'd waited and compared prices, but I just wanted the heat on (this winter was ridiculously cold). I took whoever showed up first. The rep was good, didn't make idle chit chat and told me what needed done and did it promptly when I approved of the work. Furnace was blowing hot air before he left. Good work, but the price was too high in my opinion.

Our Air Conditioner stopped in late June. So we called a few different A/C places to get estimates, and found out we needed a new furnace. All 3 places quoted prices from $4500 - 5,000. We called

The service went very well.
Cincinnati HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was actually early to the appointment which is something of a shock to me compared to most other service companies. He covered his shoes the entire time he was in my home and was very professional. I was also able to schedule an appointment that was convenient for me. Overall, I will be looking to utilize

My husband and I had a problem whereby our AC was not cooling down the house. I called
Cincinnati HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and had someone scheduled to come the same day. The service technician took a look at our outdoor unit and said that he thinks the compressor is bad since it was loud and there was kind of a rattling sound. He also used gauges and said there was a temperature problem. He also looked at the inside unit and said the piston might not be the right kind. We expressed concern that the problem might still not be fixed even if we were to replace the compressor since we also had a problem with airflow. He told us that we would then go from there if changing the compressor doesn't fix the problem. He stated that his solution was his best guess and we can accept his diagnosis or not. This is not good enough for us. We are not going to spend about $1000 for a fix that might or might not work.
I asked him if it is possible that the speed of the blower is not correct and if that might be why airflow is not good. I asked him if he could check it so we can know what else is wrong. He refused to look at the blower and stated that he would only look at it when they come for repairs. This is not okay. We paid for him to do a diagnosis and we feel that his diagnosis was incomplete. We feel that he should at least have addressed our concerns that it might not be the compressor that is causing the problem. He also removed the taping around the duct cover to look at the evaporator coils and was going to leave without replacing the tape. The tape was only replaced when we requested that he do so.
Furthermore, when we called to ask him to send us an email with a detailed quote, he refused to do so. We mentioned that we want it in case we ever wanted to submit it to our warranty company (highly unlikely) and he got defensive and said that
Cincinnati HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
doesn't deal with warranty companies. He didn't really listen. We have had work done before, paid for by us to the service provider, and gotten reimbursed by the warranty company. Furthermore, the paperwork he gave us when he left states "You have the right to a written estimate if the work exceeds $25", which clearly is not true. He stated that they "don't break down the price for anybody" when we asked for them to break down the costs. The technician also told us that we would need 7 pounds of freon for our 2 ton unit. We called the manufacturer who told us the maximum capacity of refrigerant for the unit is 4.7 but after accounting for other things, the maximum would at most be 5 pounds. We were going to be charged for around 2 more pounds of freon that our system didn't need.
Overall, we were disappointed. Even though the technician could have been right about the problem, we do not feel confident about his diagnosis since he didn't address our concerns about airflow and wanted to give us more refrigerant than we would have needed. The company has a promise for a written estimate on the receipt for our diagnosis, but this was never provided. We paid over eighty dollars for a technician to come out and guess what was wrong, refuse to look at our blower, and refuse to honor their stated promise for a written quote.

personally came out to provide me a quote for the new AC unit and it was by far the cheapest for the same unit I got quoted from other service providers.

Amazing! Nick is overqualified for this job, but that was great for me, the customer. He is a mechanical engineer from the University of Cincinnati who grew up helping his grandfather in the plumbing business. He liked it so much that he has made this his career, instead of engineering. He is very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, friendly, neat and very meticulous about his work. I could not have been happier.

arrived promptly and outlined what his work would entail. Upon completion he reviewed the status of my A/C system going over a checklist of what he did. He indicated I had a part failing, although not required, would recommend watching performance. He had the part on his truck, was reasonably priced, so had him install it. He gave me the faulty part and explained it's role and where it was starting to fail. I appreciated

My indoor plumbing is now top notch and I feel safe and ready for another challenging winter. I also like the designs selected for the home, and I'm looking forward to the energy and financial savings, especially from the tankless water heater. The Exterior job on the waterline was a risky, enormous procedure requiring
Cincinnati HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to remove an old pipe that was of inferior material from 23 years ago, and replace it with new pipe. The waterline was laid next to a 500 foot driveway easement that is thin, rutted, and starting to fall in at the edges.

had to navigate through multiple underground utility wires and pipes safely and with high precision. They initially researched the best and most economical way to accomplish this, explained the procedure to neighbors and gave them various options, assurances, and input. Their consultant guided us through the entire process and I had wonderful luck in being assigned a two-man brother team with extensive experience, who were patient, resourceful and precise. In addition, these men worked long hours in very hot conditions to get me water and complete our contract with excellent quality. They even gave me landscaping tips, which would encourage the best possible results for long-term regrowth, instead of following a quick and easy approach that might not be the best method over time. I joined

's preferred customer account, something I haven't done before anywhere, because I really don't want anyone else working on my plumbing. EI'm not sure how a company can make you feel like family, but these guys were able to do just that, through the quality and precision of their work, and of their characteristics as dedicated individuals.
