"We were switching from one system to another. We were able to use most of the monitoring equipment we already had but we did add motion detectors in two places, which was recommended by the installer. Installer was very helpful in explaining how the system worked and what the monthly monitoring fee would be.

"I simply followed all the directions - which were very easy to follow - and installed it myself. The other best part of this system is the customer service staff is prompt and quick to get back to you w/ answers to your questions. I emailed on a weekend and got a response on a Sunday. If you call, they are right there to help.

"I started looking at an alarm system after moving into a new home back in September. I research everything thoroughly and Angie's List is one of the tools I use to do the research. I looked at another vendor reviewed on Angies's List called Frontpoint since they had a huge number of positive reviews. However what I discovered in looking at Frontpoint in more detail was that their equipment deals on the surface look good, but that when you add all the other sensors I needed, the price worked out the same as
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
/LiveWatch. Also,
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
uses the newer GE
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
XTI system, while Frontpoint pushes the older
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
XT system. The last item was monitoring costs.
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
provides more services for a lower monthly fee. I can control lights, thermostat, motion camera and of course the alarm system for $39.95. Frontpoint was more by a few bucks, but offered less.
I did not seriously look at ADT and a few others because of all the other negative reviews and comments.
Because I have a ranch house, I need a lot of first floor window and door sensors. Some people like to use motion sensors instead of window and door sensors. I have a dog. I also have grandchildren staying at the house a lot. Motion sensors do not work well for me in most of the house because too many people or the dog could be moving around late at night when we set the alarm for "stay" as opposed to "away".
My total cost of equipment was around $800 bucks. Some people will give away the equipment, but charge a higher monthly fee and lock you into a 3 year contract to recover the cost of the equipment. Nothing is free in this world so it is just a question of pay me now or pay me later.
Also, the equipment from
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
is NOT locked into this vendor like equipment from other vendors. So it can be moved to another monitoring service after a small one year commitment. They also offer a 90 out if you are not satisfied. In my opinion, you cannot beat this deal.
Because they are painting the house, I gave myself a month to install before actually activating my service. This is a self install system, but it is EASY to install.
November 2 was my activation date. Their representative called me and went over everything. They took the time to answer my questions. When there were a few unresolved issues at the end of our call, they called me back as they were working through them to keep me in the loop. As of November 3, all was resolved and the system is working just fine.
I also have a remote panel to control the system in the house. We can also control it via our iPhones. We also have some controllers on lights so we can turn them on at night when we are away from the house.
I am very happy with
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
/LiveWatch and how they bring together a total solution with an easy to install system. Believe me, anyone can do this and because you do it yourself, you tend to know the system much better than if you turned over the installation to someone else.
The only comment I would make to
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
is to monitor the social media and Angie's List at least twice a day to answer customer and prospect comments and questions. I noticed other vendors are very responsive on social media while
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
....well not so much. People make decisions very fast and I almost went somewhere else waiting for responses on Facebook and Angie's List. But glad I was a bit more patient and still went with

"Great, I called
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
for a quote on a total alarm system for my house. The next step was he came back and installed the system and explained in detail how to operate it.

Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
returned my call immediately, I called him on Sept 28...He came out on Sept 29 and reviewed my needs and
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
's products...He came back on Sept 30th to install the alarm pad and sensors....He and an installer returned on 3 days later to set up the Security Surveillance system and cameras...
As with any system being installed there are glitches both technical and operator issues...
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and an installer came out (
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
would have come back that night had a I wanted him to - seriously) the following week to help resolve most of the issues...About half were technical and the other half operator....The technical issues were more about preferrences and settings rather than equipment failures...
The operator errors involved remote access, playing back the recorded video etc....
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and both installers were very consciences about the quality they were providing as well as my understanding of the equipment and my personal preferences...
I am really glad I had such a nice group of guys to do this, as you know most installers & sales people try to get rid of you after the sale is made....I feel quite confident that
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and gang will be around when my needs change or I need help with some aspect of the systems...
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
has called and wanted to followup on my purchase and installation - again concern about having any questions or needs so it was nice to be recognized internally and have them reach out for quality control....

Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
came on time and installed an alarm system. He was efficient and very careful to keep things clean when drilling holes. He was good at explaining and demonstrating how everything worked. I'm happy with everything so far and have peace of mind that the house is more secure.

"Both the salesman and technician ran late for the appointments.
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
, the salesman, called us to let us know he would be late which we really appreciated.
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
indicated we would get a call regarding an appointment with a technician to show us the system. We never heard from the office and therefore made a call to remind
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
we were waiting to hear from his office to arrange for the technician to meet with us. The technician was 35 minutes late without a call. The house is vacant and therefore we had to make sure we were there to meet for each appointment. Once
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
arrived, he was very polite, professional and patient in explaining the alarm system. All in all, it did work out and we look forward to using the system in the future!

"We interviewed (in person and over the phone) several security alarm service providers including Vector, Vivent, ProtectAmerica, DialOne and a few do-it-your-slef companies. We chose
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
- he had the best service, product, and the price, and was completely no-pressure, taking the time to answer our questions and address our concerns. He also offered the best price for the monthly monitoring service and the equipment price over the 3-year service agreement (which is now standard with all alarm instal companies).

Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
spent a good 3 hours with us on a first meeting, looked over our home and went through the options for securing it against burglaries and fire, answering all our questions patiently. Upon agreeing on the best solutions for us,
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
emailed us with the proposal and upon our acceptance, returned to sign the contract and set the instal time for the following Monday.

Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
arrived punctually and took an entire day to hardwire and install a complete system, including, door, window, smoke and motion.

We are happy with the product, service and the price. When looking at these systems we discovered that they are not inexpensive. We researched the bajezus out of the options and
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
was the best in price (instal and monitoring), quality of product (
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
) and cordiality. To have a piece of mind, afterall, is priceless!

Thank you
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and we highly recommend

"Our experience is the service is expensive and the quality is poor.

A few years ago, we had replacement windows installed, and the frames were slightly larger than the original windows, so the sensor wires weren't long enough. We had
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
out for a service call, and the
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
technician indicated it'd be a bad idea to splice the wires to lengthen them, so he just taped together the sensors on several windows. (Admittedly, we agreed to that figuring having a few windows un-monitored is better than having them all unmonitored.)

More recently, we had them come out because the system wasn't working. Long story short, we paid nearly $200 for them to tell us that the control panel was bad and they couldn't get parts, that they weren't sure why we were getting false alarms on two windows, and that the best thing to do would be to just buy a new
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
wireless service. They had quoted us a rate per 20 minutes in advance; what they didn't tell us was that there was also a trip fee and that we'd have to pay for the extra time spent shutting down the current system. Even though we paid high rates for the repair person to shut it down, they still had us call ourselves and have the monitoring stopped. They did not bother to offer us a new system since they were there anyway nor did they offer to apply the cost of a repair to a new system. It was clear we'd have to deal with three different people: the repair person, a sales person, and then a new installer.

After
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
left, we called two alternative companies for bids on replacement systems. Unlike
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
who indicated we should just move to wireless, both the other companies recommended that we use the existing wiring. The one we hired sent out an installer who fixed up all the windows where wires needed to be lengthened, replaced sensors on the windows triggering false alarms, and did a complete test of the new system. The bonus is the new company is charging us $10 less/month than
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
.

We should have moved away from

years ago!

"I cannot speak highly enough of these employees. When one buys a home which has had several owners, there are always interesting twists! When I called the previous owners alarm company, they wanted $60 just to have an installer come out to assess the system and then were going to charge me almost $30 per month for monitoring the first year, assuming they didn't need to change anything. I had had my locks re-keyed by
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and asked the locksmith about their security systems. He gave me a number and name to call, and
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
was able to come out 2 days later. When
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
came out to assess our old system, he called a supplier to confirm that the "box" was the one he was thinking of, which let him know he could still get codes for that system. However, the supplier did tell him that it hasn't been in use for quite a while.
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
was very willing to simply set up the system, and they would monitor it for $20 a month, a lifetime rate. I asked him the cost of a new system, and we walked through the system, what I wanted, etc. The plan was to reuse all current wiring, contacts, etc. I was quoted a rate of about $825 which included adding a "dominoe" keypad at the exterior to control a garage door. I decided to update the system, because of the ability of
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
to make changes to our system from their offices, instead of having to come out for a service call, and realizing that it would eventually need to be done anyway. On the day of installation,
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and a helper,
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
arrived at 9 AM and got straight to work. They first had to
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
all the lines to figure out what went where, then needed to make it all work together. The original system had two keypads, one at the kitchen door, and one at the front door.
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
moved the keypad from the front door to the master bedroom (on the second floor), which in itself was a fair amount of work as the wires were on the farthest wall. Although it would have been easier for him to simply install the keypad next to our bed, he installed it at the entrance to the bedroom where I requested it to be. Moreover, he never groused or complained, even though he needed to go through two attics and 23 inches of freshly blown in insulation to make it happen. As it turned out, several of the old contacts were non-functioning and needed to be replaced, and we needed to add wireless parts to have the system perform as I wanted. This did increase the cost of the system to about $940, but these were changes I agreed to, so the additional cost was not a surprise. Although they had been at our home all day, without a break,
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
cleaned up afterwards, even vacuuming! And they took a fair amount of time to explain how to operate the system as well. I feel as though I have a brand new system, thoroughly up to date, at the least cost possible. Moreover, with my monthly fee remaining the same as long as I stay with
Cincinnati Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
, I can't
