Handyman Reviews in Cincinnati

came out and spent about 45 minutes discussing what we wanted to do to our kitchen cabinets as well as various other projects that needed done around the house (painting, flooring etc.). When he left he said he would email a couple of quotes (repair or replace cabinets). I contacted him a week later to follow up on the status of the quotes and got no response and to this day almost two months later I have not heard back from him. It would have been nice if he had had the courtesty to say he wasn't interested in the job rather than not follow through at all. Not very professional in my opinion. A waste of time.

There was approximately a month-and-a-half gap between the estimate visit and the work itself owing to some mixup in the office about sending the estimate, which I had to call about to get straightened out, and I was also erroneously sent someone else's estimate in addition to my own, but another phone call cleared that up too. (The pressure hosing left my windows streaked and spotted, but they offered to wash them after the work was finished, which was not in the contract, nor was I charged for it, and some of them were subsequently washed.) The work date was set, but they had an earlier opening, called me to see if it could be a week or so sooner and we agreed on an earlier date, so the job was done then. The work itself was accomplished in one day, with three painters working on the job, and the results were very satisfactory.

Handyman reviews in Cincinnati

Everything went extremely well. The outside of my house looks terrific! My kitchen sink no longer leaks. I cannot believe how quickly he replaced the old metal pipes with new pvc piping. I am no longer scared to walk up or down my front steps. They will need to be replaced in the future and he explained what needs to be done and how much it will cost. I will definitely ask him to do that work. Everything was completed in less than 4 hours with the help of his son who is home from college. The best part is I felt comfortable with these guys working on my house. Usually I am very anxious when someone comes to do work or repairs. I did not feel that way with these two. He was also very patient with my dog who does not like anyone new coming in. Even though I took her outside to meet them and she was fine with them outside, once

entered the house she barked continually. I felt so bad, but he took it in stride. All in all, it was a successful day and I learned a lot.

explained everything he did and why he did it that way. The costs were very fair. He will be my first choice in the future when I need work done around this old house.

Let's start off on the positive aspects. As I am a full-time student and have limited funds, he agreed to charge me $16/hour to mow my front and back lawn. I don't have a lot of land so the entire experience took less than an hour for him to complete, but I still paid him the full $16, which was fine by me. No complaints about his actual ability to mow my lawn. He mowed it fine, and he came by frequently to mow the lawn and came by when he said he would.
But, this is by far the worst experience I have ever had with any sort of hired help. Ever.
For the past year, another guy has been mowing my lawn for $10/hour and it was working out great, except he left for basic training so I had to find someone else. My landlord found

on Craigslist and told me to give him a shot.
I had a feeling something was off from the very beginning. The first week I hired him, we agreed on a price and a date and a time for him to come and mow the lawn, and we agreed where I would leave him the check. Despite coming to all of these agreements in the first phone call, he proceeded to call me three more times that week just to verify all of that information. It was weird, but I thought he was just wanted to iron out the details, so I was polite to him and let it go.
After those initial phone calls, he cut my grass twice and each time, would call me, leave me a lengthy voicemails while I was at work talking about his exact details about cutting my grass, the blades he used to cut my grass, the upcoming weather patterns and how they would affect grass growth, etc. Now this was getting to be too much, but since he cut my lawn at a decent price, I ignored my instincts telling me something was off. Even though I had specified I wanted him to cut the grass only once every 2-3 weeks, and that I would call him when i wanted it to be cut, he still would call me every few days telling me I needed it to be cut sooner than that and would go into extreme details about the upcoming weather patterns and expected grass growth. Every time he called, he would refuse to get off the phone for at least 10 minutes, and he called every few days, so it was getting to the point that I was getting bothered and creeped out and started dreading picking up the phone whenever I saw his number calling.
After a month and a half of working with him, I was starting to try and find other people to mow my lawn, but no one was willing to charge less than $20/hour so I decided to stick with

until I could find someone else. It was around that time that I needed to go out of town for 4 weeks. I let
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
know that I was going out of town and when I would be back. He said he wanted to mow my lawn twice in the 4 weeks I was gone, and asked if I could pay ahead of time for one cutting and then pay for the second cutting when I was back in town. I agreed to the terms, and paid for the first cutting ahead of time before I left.
Three weeks after being out of town, I started receiving phonecalls from him and long voicemails.
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
had confused the dates when I would be back and started leaving me lengthy voicemails demanding payment and sounded very paranoid that I was trying to cheat him of his money. This really rubbed me the wrong way so I let him know that he had his dates confused and that I would leave him a check at my house as I usually do once I was back in town, but that his voicemails were inappropriate and rude and that I would no longer be needing his services once I returned.
A few days before I was due to arrive, he left me a voicemail saying he had rubbed my landlord the wrong way (and he didn't know why) so he was going to leave me an envelope with his mailing address in my mailbox so I could mail him the check directly.
I returned on a Friday night and wrote him a check which I was planning to mail to him on Monday. By Sunday, yes--in two days--I had received two "warning" notices from him. Apparently he had been driving by my house and leaving me notes in my mailbox telling me "not to be a deadbeat" and to pay him ASAP. Yes, he drove all the way to my house, twice in one weekend to leave me notes and bills, even though he knew I had just gotten back in town on Friday night and that I told him I would mail him his check on Monday.
I was started to get really concerned as to how inappropriate and paranoid he was behaving so I called my landlord. My landlord told me that he had the same experience with

. Apparently
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
called him multiple times a day and left him many long voicemails, and it began rubbing him the wrong way too, so he told him to not call back again and to not mow the lawns of any of his other properties anymore.
I mailed
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
a check with a note telling him to stop driving by my property and to delete my phone number and to never call again.
I think
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
is paranoid and has mental health issues. He is not mentally sound. This is not someone who I want to have knowing my home address.
A day after I had mailed him the check and a note telling him to stop coming by my house and to never call me again, I get a call from my landlord that someone had "filed a complaint" to the city of Cincinnati saying my lawn needs to be mowed and I was violating a city ordinance. I can only guess who lodged the complaint.
Let's just say, I lock all my doors and windows at night now. Needless to say, I would not recommend him.

Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
performed the work in an exceptional manner. He arrived when he stated he would be on site. Cleaned up each day. Scoped and purchased items to meet our needs and did an excellent job (with good taste). Utilized cheaper labor on some of the smaller aspects of the job to hold down costs. Workmanship was excellent. Job finished on schedule. Job came in at mid-point of his estimates. The before and after pictures show an amazing contrast and clearly reflect his capabilities and workmanship. As much as anything though, he communicated with us throughout the process and kept us informed. Highly recommend

and his services.

We purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for three hours of handyman service for $149 from this company. We had a couple major home renovations going on and were trying to vet contractors by purchasing a these deals from a few different providers.
I got a quick response from
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
through Angie's List, presumably from the owner, and we were scheduled at the day and time we requested. Very accommodating.
The service tech,
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
arrived on time and was polite and professional. We had three hours of time and gave him a list of three smaller projects that needed to be done: hanging a door, attaching a bandboard to a staircase in prep for a railing and stripping/sanding a section of concrete wall in the basement so it could be painted later. We asked him which of those things could be completed in the time allowed and he said the wall would be most realistic.
We provided a drill bit to strip the wall and
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
attached it to his own drill. He went to work on the wall for the entire three hours and when we went downstairs after he was done there was a thick
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
of dust covering every inch of the basement. Walls, carpet, clothes in the laundry, toys, everything. To be honest, I'm not sure if or how this would have been preventable with the work he was doing, but it took a lot of time and effort to clean up.
Nonetheless, we still needed a contractor for other bigger projects and
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
has so many good reviews that we asked
Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
to take some measurements of our kitchen for an estimate on cabinet installation. Apparently he never gave them to the owner, but when I followed up to ask for the estimate I got a quick response and an apology that the measurements hadn't been submitted. We tried to schedule some additional work but they were booked until about a month out.
Overall, they were responsive and professional, but the quality of work on this particular project was pretty bad. It would have been easier if we'd just done it ourselves, factoring in the amount of effort it took to clean up the mess.

I first called Classy Craftsman on 6/5 to discuss a wall with a window & door which I want replaced with a new patio door. No response. 2nd call: 6/19, third call: 6/26- never a response. Oh well... guess they don't want my money.

Cincinnati Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
is a friendly but very professional guy.
He came out to do the estimate and knew exactly what I would need to have on hand for the two very different jobs -- installing a section of fence and replacing metal legs that support my sink. I ordered the fence sections, posts and concrete mix and he picked it up from the supplier for me.
He had a helper but he supervised whatever work he did not do himself. Both jobs were completed to my satisfaction.
I will work with him in the future.

Very well! My main issue was the drip
