"I was refereed to Dr. Schmulewitz in the Fall of 2010. I had seen various other gastroenterologists over the course of 9 months for chronic right upper quadrant pain and none of the other doctors could determine the cause. Dr. Schmulewitz was very thorough right from the beginning, and was sure from my initial appointment that my problem was related to my colon. Over the course of 12 - 15 months, I saw him frequently and he tried many different options to relieve me of my colon problems. When conservative methods were no longer helping me, he referred me to a colorectal surgeon for further evaluation.Dr Schmulewitz always seemed to have my best interest in mind. When it became apparent surgery was my best option, he made sure I had all the information I would need to make an informed decision and was very supportive of getting second opinions. He did not take the surgical solution lightly and only referred me for such intervention when he was absolutely sure it was in my best interest. In the end, he was absolutely correct and I credit him with giving me back a normal life.

"I have seen him before with my daughter and I liked his manner with her and again now with my husband. He is very thorough in his explanation of what is going on. He shows you what he can, pictures and test results so we understand what is happening. They are getting ready to move offices."

"He was recommended to us by our family physician. The one thing that makes us feel the most comfortable with him is the quality of his care. It’s easy to get an appointment, and he’s easier to get in to, but then again, we have been seeing him for so many years."

"He was very professional, and has a good bedside manner. He was very patient, and takes the time to thoroughly explain everything. He is a good doctor, had a great staff, and I will use them again."

"He's good. He was voted as one of the best in Cincinnati area.
Feel good that he was able to find a couple of pollups when he was performing the procedure.

"About a week after I made a new appointment with Dr.
Cincinnati Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
, I received a letter from the office, stating that he was terminating the "doctor and patient relationship." I was puzzled by the letter, because it didn't describe the reaon why. Plus I had never actually been seen by him. So I called the office to find out the reaon.

I spoke to an office manager,
Cincinnati Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
, who told me that Dr.
Cincinnati Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
would not see me because I cancelled the appointment in the spring (even though I called more than a day before to cancel the appointment). Furthremore, she said that other doctors in the same group (Cincinnati GI) would not see me for the same reason. I explained to her the reason why I had to cancel the appointment in spring -- there was a family emergency I needed to attend to... Knowing that Cincinnati GI was one of few groups that my insurance would take, I asked

if they could lift the restriction so that I could see other doctor in the same group.

told me she would talk to Dr.

A few days later

called and told me that Dr.

would not lift the restriction, because "There are so many other people who need to see him, so he will not see a patient like you who would cancel an appointment." I asked her if I could see other doctor in the group. She said, "You can try, but they are not supposed to see you."

The whole experience was shocking and unpleasant.

"Test went great and was given the OK for colonostomy reversal. Dr

"She does our colonopathy, which is done every 10 years. She is very thorough and very good. She is really top of the wine gastro person in the city of Cincinnati, as far as everyone knows. She is excellent. She knows what she is doing. I really don't know if she really does often colonopathy; but she is really a fine gastrointestinal person. My husband had someone diagnose him with prone and she just took one look at the corner. She did another and she told it's not really the one. She is excellent at diagnosing and she is probably one of the finest gastrointestinal person. She is great. The best thing is, she is to the point. She doesn't hang around and discuss the colonopathy, unless of course if I think it is bad. She is just excellent."

"Dr. Attar was very professional and did a great job. Colonoscopys are not a lot of fun to prep for but I was happy with how well the procedure went. I woke up and thought they had not done anything. I has several pre cancerous growth removed which he all explained very well."

"Performed colonoscopy for my re-check. The doctor does this as I've had previous colon tumors. He is very thorough. He is familiar with me even tho I see him only once a year. I trust him and find him very caring and easy to talk to. "
