"
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
did a nice job. This is the second job he has done in my home. He arrived on time. I had already purchased the Allure flooring plus extra to allow for possible mistakes. The extra flooring was not needed as he was familiar with the product and that saved me money as I was able to return the extra. As he did in the past he informed me as to what needed to be done and then completed the job in a timely manner. There was some complexity with laying the flooring such as cutting around edges, the toilet and tub, but it was done without errors and I have slats left for future use. I wanted the flooring in before the holiday and he made I happen. He is a pleasant guy as well as professional."

"Complete information was provided throughout the process. Options were described in detail with pricing. Installer arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. No complaints since the installation. Quality of the carpet is excellent and no problems with the installation have surfaced.

"Contractor was hired to replace roof, replace floors in two bathrooms, install new carpet and made dry wall repairs. Did complete the roof and did a good job. Job was poorly estimated and additional funds were required upfront to complete the job. Did not have the resources to purchase supplies and pay workers with deposit only and repeatedly requested more money from insurance company and bank in order to get started. Hired unqualified workers for interior work which was substandard and had to be repaired by another contractor. He is a young man without the resources to complete a job as dictated by insurance industry standards. We were left high and dry for quite some time as he had been given all the initial outlay money and nothing else could be advanced for the rest of the work after we fired him.

"Installation was unprofessional. Took twice as long as necessary. I had to ask him to do certain things like cut the wood on our front porch instead of in the house. One day he came and left because he did not have the correct tools. In addition the floor is not holding up. We addresses this with them and the refuse to acknowledge the poor quality of the product. We put felt pads on all furniture and it still scratches and dents with very normal wear such as simply sitting on a dining chair.

"We hired
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
’s Hardwood Flooring to install a new hardwood (hickory) floor. The company was also to supply the flooring. When the floor was completed, we pointed out that a disturbing number of boards were not even with the adjacent boards.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
explained that an acceptable difference was the thickness of a credit card (about 0.040 inch). We later found out that the standrd acceptable difference is 0.016 inches.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
response to the differences was to pound the high boards down. That was marginally successful. Within a few days after the installation, the floor began cupping and buckling. After a few weeks the cupping and buckling was extreme with one buckled joint up about 3 inches.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
removed some boards to allow the remaining boards in the floor to expand. After about seven weeks
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
reinstalled the boards. That is the state of the floor now. Upon first glance the floor looks nice, but the floor continues to move, buckle and creak. The floor is still is still wavy and uneven. We cannot even clean it with a mop because the cupped boards have a center depressions that the mop doesn’t reach. The floor is also spongy and creaky.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
attributes the cause of the problem being that we allowed the humidity to get too high, despite the fact that we did everything we were told to do, including installing two dehumidifiers and keeping the AC on into the end of September. Flooring people have told us the floor is beyond repair and that should have been obvious after the severe cupping appeared.
Of the possible causes and/or contributing factors, one is disputable, but four have been identified that are not. Some possible causes and contributing factors are:
1. Excess humidity in our home
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
says the high humidity is our fault. This is despite the fact we did everything
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
told use we should do.
Our house is normal in every way himidity wise. We have no mildew, rust, or
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
signs of high hmidity. The previous
hardwood floor didn't budge for almost 40 years.

2. Inadequate expansion space at the wall

The National Hardwood Flooring Association and
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, the flooring manufacturer, recommend no less than ¾ inch be
left between the wall and the last flooring board. A gap of ½ inch was left in our house by
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. This gap is obvious and
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
has not disputed the size of the expansion gap, but
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
says the gap is not a factor in our floor’s problems.

3. Inadequate subfloor.
The National Hardwood Flooring Association and
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
Hardwood Flooring, the flooring manufacturer, recommend
that the subfloor be no less than 5/8 inch. Our floor was installed over a ½ inch subfloor. The subfloor is visible and its
thickness is obvious.

4. Improper nailing of the floor
Two boards, that were exposed when adjacent boards were removed, were not nailed at all. We have pictures showing
the boards are not stapled. These boards could be be moved back and forth and a putty knife could be slide under them
Based on the number of exposed boards and the number of un-nailed boards, the percent of un-nailed boards could be as
high as 10 percent.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
has said the two cases were isolated instances and are not likely to indicative of the nailing of
the entire floor.
5. Improper acclimation of the flooring
The wood was delivered to the house about 10 days before the installation to allow the wood to acclimate to the house
environment. The wood was stacked seven bundles high and four deep in a tight bundle. We have photographs that
show how the wood was stacked.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
has not commented on the stacking of the wood.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
’s installation
guidelines say the wood should be stacked no more than three bundles high with room between the bundles to allow for
air circulation.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
’s installation guidelines are on every box of wood and on the
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
’s web site.

and every member of his crew were extremely professional, responsive and friendly. Because the house is very old and the basement was unfinished, there were bumps along the way requiring custom work. We knew what we were getting ourselves into with an old basement having an uneven floor and walls, odd, low duct work and old pipes. The basement looks great and they made all the weird
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
look completely normal.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and all of
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
's guys were communicative, helpful and approachable. We are very happy with the work they did. We also had them install a new vanity, toilet and lighting in our upstairs bathroom, which also looks great. They completed the work in much less time than all other contractors we contacted before we decided to go with
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, which was a bonus because we wanted the work completed before the holidays. We would highly recommend
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
& his crew and would definitely use them again for future projects.

"The sales rep came out to the client's house, helped them through the selection process. She had a very large selection in her van to choose from. She measured right then and was able to provide a proposal right away. The proposal was typed, very detailed, including the specific name and model of the carpet along with a breakdown of the materials to be used as well as shipping and handling and every other aspect of the job.The personal touch from the owner is the BEST. I can't wait to do additional business with her. I put my reputation on the line whenever I recommend a trades person to one of my clients. I feel very comfortable recommending this company.

and a few others were definitely a pleasure to work with. The biggest portion of the work performed is the complete remodel of our bathroom. Demolition was completed promptly, and the rest of the work included new backerboard, new plumbing, new hardware, new fixtures, floor and wall tile with specific design, painting the walls, bathtub refinishing, and new ceiling vent fan with light. The work performed was fantastic, and the bathroom turned out exactly like we wanted.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was the main person on the job for the bathroom, and he was very flexible with his work and very helpful with decision making. In addition to the bathroom work, we had a new ceiling fan installed into our nursery, and the hardwood floors refinished and stained as well. The fan works great, and the floor looks fantastic! Finally, they installed a brand new garbage disposal to replace one that had stopped working, and it works great. I am very pleased with the work performed by

work very hard to accommodate my needs, and they were very flexible with scheduling. They knew I had to leave town by a certain date, and they were able to fit me into their schedule and finish the job on time. I will definitely be contacting them (frequently) for additional projects in the near future, and highly recommend their services.

"When we purchased our new house we knew the first thing on our to-do list was to completely gut our existing kitchen along with the floor and install new cabinetry, countertops, and flooring along with new appliances. I spoke with three different providers for this job and ended up selecting
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
based on both their Angies list review and the fact that they beat the price on the project (for the exact same brand products) by leaps and bounds. Now that the project is complete I'm also blown away at the quality of work and professionalism of this team, especially given such competitive pricing.
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and his crew were excellent at what they did. I would consider my wife and I as having pretty high standards and
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
surpassed all of them. Even small details that we asked for weren't forgotten. When there would be a correction needed or a slight change, they were extremely quick to make it right. I've heard horror stories from friends about contractors quoting a project, then doing additional work and then charging them more for it, but after all the dust had settled, they always honored their quoted prices and even threw in a few upgrades!
After finishing the kitchen, we've continued to use
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
for additional projects and have continued to have a great experience. we've had them continue on to do updates to bathrooms, custom basement work, and even smaller things such as fixing leaking showers. I'll have to review some of the other projects separately but I can say these will be our go-to people for any house projects in the future.

"The design associate,
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, with
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, came to the house, measured the entire house for carpet, gave me a bunch of samples to look at, and gave me her professional opinion on the types of carpets that would last the longest and gave me options on pricing and which carpet would give me the best bang for my buck. I made the selection of carpet, scheduled the appointment for the day I wanted them to come out. They installer called me 20 minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He installed all the carpet, vacuumed, cleaned up really nice after himself, and also there was enough carpet left over that he installed carpet on the stairwell at no extra charge. The thing I like the most about
Cincinnati Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
is that the gave me options, the installer was punctual and communicative and did great work and cleaned up well.
