Cincinnati Otolaryngologists Reviews
"He gives me exercises to do and it seems to work very well. I've been seeing him for a couple of years. He is great. For the most part he is pretty punctual. The billing is fine as far as I know."
"I had to call multiple times over a 6 month period to get the surgery scheduled after my original consultation. There were a number of mishaps and miscommunications through the staff. They were always polite, but not always good at following up. Once the surgery was finally scheduled I probably should have requested a follow up visit with the doctor before the actual surgery date (I was actually surprised he didn't request this himself). I did not hear anything from the doctor until the day of the surgery. When I asked him before the surgery "What exactly are you planning to do?" (Not an unreasonable question I think) His response was "You're kidding, right?" He gave a very short explanation full of medical jargon and made me feel like a fool for even questioning him. It turned out, I should have asked more. The surgery was not at all what I had expected to have done. The whole purpose of going in for surgery, which I had made clear during our original consultation, was to get my nose straightened. He had said that since my septum was so severely deviated (due to a break in childhood), it wouldn't be a problem to straighten the nose when fixing the septum. I don't remember ANY discussion about cauterizing the turbinates or what that might mean. In the end, all he did was straighten the septum and cauterize the turbinates (which has basically resulted in non-stop nasal drip) The outer part of the nose wasn't touched at all. Other doctors have since questioned why he would do such a drastic surgery unless I was having severe issues with breathing or bleeding (I wasn't). I have no answers. Basically what I learned from this experience is that you should always always ask a lot of questions up front, trust your instincts if something doesn't feel right, and don't let yourself feel bullied or belittled by a doctor. You are ultimately responsible for your own health and safety."
"He is wonderful and lovely. He is thorough and communicates well, professional, very well known in his field, and very kind. "
"Dr was scheduled two days later and was completed successfully. My insurance covered some of the charges and I paid the rest."
"My insurance covered all the cost. It did not take long once I was under. It went very well. He had been watching this ear for some time and he cured an infection in it and got that under control and with follow up he seen there was a bubble in the ear drum, at the next check up he seen it had gotten worse so then they put the tube in. He explained the process of this very well to me. When he did the tube the bubble did disappear."
"The relief from the pain was almost immediate. Dr. Baluyot explained to us the cause of the pain and also how to avoid it in the future. His staff are cordial and helpful. Above all, the doctor is very good. It's been several months since my visit and so far so good."
