Drywall Repair And Installation Reviews in Cincinnati

was very professional when asked to provide these services. He was prompt in getting me a quote. The painting I asked to be done had to be put off for a few months because of his schedule but then there was a break and he was able to get to me earlier than I expected and I was actually able to be home the week all of the paining had to be done.
They did an excellent job prepping all of the wood, caulking all of the cracks, sanding and applying primer where needed. They used the high quality paint that we discussed before the job started.
's foreman) greeted me every morning and let me know when they were done for the day.
Overall, I was highly satisfied with the services I paid for. I woudl recommend
and his crew for anyone who needs exterior painting done.

My experience was very disappointing but I don't feel it was representative of the services this provider generally delivers. I got a bid from them and another company for interior garage repair in January 2014. Several months later, I contacted
to convey that I was ready to have the work done. I did not say it was a rush.
I was then contacted by the drywall guy (just to be clear, he's not the owner) who gave the bid and said he'd be doing the work. He decided to give my job to his father, who also does dry wall (but has another job). I wasn't thrilled because he was the primary reason I selected
over the other company. Anyway, his dad wanted to come out on a Wednesday just to take a look at the job. That week was our "staycation" but I agreed, figuring it would just take a few minutes. When the man showed up, he had his truck loaded with material and said he was ready to get started. I guess I could have told him that it wasn't convenient but I felt awkward and let him go ahead, figuring we were just looking at a few days. The job turned out to be confusing and took much longer to finish.
's quote was not as detailed as the other contractor and that became a problem when the individual doing the job had a different idea that I did as to the scope of the job. I contacted the owner who was super responsive. I shared with him the quote from the other company and how it described the job and he said that he would ensure it was done to my satisfaction. The father/worker made me feel as though I wasn't paying enough and that was uncomfortable. Then, since he had another job, when he would show up fluctuated and that was stressful (e.g., called at 1 pm to say he wasn't coming one day, showed up at 11:30 another day and called demanding to know where I was, decided not to show up on Saturday as planned cause he didn't want to drive in, etc.). Counting the days during which no work was done, it dragged on for almost 2 weeks.
My greatest complaint, however, was his failure to bring any drop cloths. Drywall and plaster work is inherently messy and I understand that. What I don't understand is why he didn't cover the floor or desk or lawmower or other items. I pulled out a sheet and a tarp but that wasn't close to enough. At the end of the job, think layers of hard to clean dust covered the floor, tools, desk, etc. I'm still working on getting it off everything.
I do think that if my job wasn't outsourced to someone with another job, we would have arrived at a date when the work would begin, I would have had time to move things out of the garage, and it wouldn't have be inconvenient for as long as it was,
I wouldn't avoid this company but if you do hire them, get a very specific description of the work to be performed and speak up if you encounter any problems. As I mentioned, the owner was very customer service oriented and wanted to ensure that the job was done well. I take some responsibility for not telling him just how badly it was going.

Drywall Repair And Installation reviews in Cincinnati

I recently decided to finish my basement and needed to have the walls and ceiling drywalled. I received quotes from 5-6 other drywall contractors, including several of the top rated picks from Angie's List. I was amazed by the range of quotes that I received for ths job, which ranged from around $2,000 to nearly $5,000. While price was obviously a part of my decision, it wasn't necessarily the most important criteria... I was most concerned about getting the job done right and choosing somebody that I felt comfortable with doing the work inside of my home. After meeting with each of the contractors and having them provide onsite quotes, I ultimately chose

, the only company that wasn't currently on Angie's List. Even though this company wasn't on Angie's List, I felt comfortable moving forward as the owner,

seemed very professional. L spent a great deal of time talking me through the process, answering my questions, and even provided references upon my request. Not only did I find L to be more thorough than the other drywall companies that I contacted but he was also coincidentally MUCH cheaper. He also allowed me to purchase my own materials, which helped to further manage my costs (although, in retrospect I wouldn't recommend this as the drywall was a PAIN to transport). To hang/finish the entire basement (walls/ceiling), L charged me $1,100. I also had him sand/resurface the stairway leading down into the basement to make it match the new area, which added an extra $300. With materials, my total cost came to around $1,900 ($1,400 for labor and around $500 for drywall, mud, tape, etc.)
In terms of the quality of the work that was performed, I have been very pleased. The drywall for entire basement was hung in 2 days and L came out and finished the rest over the course of the next week so (allowing sufficient dry times for each coat). L and his team were always very courteous and kept me informed of the status of the job throughout. Upon completion, I told L that I would provide a review via Angie's List and have already recommended him to my brother-in-law who is in the process of finishing his basement as well. I'm not really sure what else the places that quoted nearly $5,000 could have done much better to warrant such a big price gap but if you are searching for a drywall contractor, I would definitely recommend giving

a call.

I made a request via Angie's List and

called me back within an hour and was out the next day and fixed the hole in the wall in 1-2 hours. Can't even tell where it was fixed.

had great responsiveness to my request for quote and setting date to perform work. He was very professional. Repairs, sanding, and painting were completed in one day as promised. Bathroom door was not completed due to forgetting to bring oil based primer for door prep.

offered to reduce estimate by $50 since door would not be completed that day. My husband will be completing this part of project.
Overall great work; and yes I would use his services again!

was fine. I'd use them again for either drywall or
painting. Not happy with Angie's List over the incessant emails and pop
ups asking me to rate a company that did 4 hours of work for me for
less than $100. Writing this review to make it stop

, which initially had about a 2 months wait, had it grow to 4-6 months in 32 days (from May 1 to June 2). That company said, on Monday, June 2, that they were declining to provide an estimate because they have been very busy and due to the 4-6 months wait. Right away I wrote back that I was willing to wait 4-6 months. I did not receive a response.
Thinking that perhaps some of my comments and questions were not liked or were unacceptable to

, on June 4, I sent

a revision to its preliminary proposal which retracted many of the ones I had made. As of today they still have not responded.
The length of their wait excuse is iffy. With a change from 2 to 4 months, that is a 100% increase in business in 32 days. Going from 2 to 6 months is a 200% increase in the same period! That is suspicious and perhaps there is something else behind the withdrawal.

was phenomenal to work with. The initial contract did not include the painting of the ceilings after priming but he was able to complete the painting as well which we greatly appreciated. He was also very flexible when we bought new light fixtures and asked for them to be installed instead of the original ones.

Hardworking and honest group of guys. They spent a lot of time on our project and so far the results have been great. They did a combination of crack repair, skim coating, glidwall, and new walls. Everything was done in a timely, professional manner. Would recommend them.
- Jason H.

Great installation and looks wonderful. It was glued versus nailed because general contractor on remodeling job wanted it glued and on floor area under kitchen cabinets.
