A company I will definitely recommend.
was the only contractor who broke down the estimate into individual parts like I asked so I could choose the parts I could afford to do this year.
was the only contractor who had an alternative solution for the previously used box gutter paint that had required repainting every few years. He answered all my questions. He even answered questions I had on the painting I was doing myself. I'm extremely pleased with the work. His carpenters
and
couldn't find floor boards that matched the existing porch floor that needed replacement boards so they had to adjust and add some additional repair work and did so at a very reasonable price. The also repaired and reattached the porch lattices that a prior contractor had left unattached and shoved in at an angle. Everything looks great now. They were all friendly and hard working, and they went out of their way to fit my job in even though it is late in the year. I am so glad to have found them. I'll be calling
in the spring for my next project.

Basically, the entire project went very well and as-planned.
was very forthright about his several months of work backlog when he submitted his quote in early June 2013. This was initially a disappointment since we had originally envisioned having the house painting completed by mid-
, but as it turned out this actually worked to our advantage, as we had the additional time to complete the "
-Board" fiber-cement replacement of the deteriorated composite wood siding and also provided some time for us to evaluate our wood window situation. Although
’s quote for replacement of the most badly deteriorated window sills was very reasonable, we eventually opted to take the
and replace all of our windows (w.e.o. basement windows & atrium door) with
aluminum clad exterior wood windows. (This window project was contracted through Lowe’s and was not a part of
’s scope of work.)
did adjust his quote downward to account for the elimination of window painting (since all the exposed window exteriors & trim are now aluminum), but preparation and painting of the window lintels was still in-scope. After some discussion, we changed course and instead of holding off on the house painting until after the window installation was completed as originally planned, the house painting was moved ahead of the window replacement project. Since the windows were all removed and installed from the outside of the house, there was some unavoidable damage to the newly painted lintel surfaces, and
is planning to return and touch-up the lintels within several days.
Overall, we are extremely happy with the work done by
’s carpenters and painting crew.
himself was on-site for most of the prep and painting work and he lends a hand with all aspects of the job. All of
’s workmen are real gentlemen, and we quickly became completely comfortable in leaving our house open & accessible when we had to leave for periods during the workday (this was at our own initiative and not requested by
or his workmen). One word of advice to other potential customers - contact
as far ahead of your planned project as possible, as he is typically very busy and his work backlog fills up quickly once the spring "painting season" arrives.

It did not go well. He charges by the hour, but really did not know much more than I do regarding how to install or repair things. Overall, we were very disappointed. He took several things apart only to find he could not figure out how to repair them and then put them back together. So we paid for a lot of "trial and error."

Everything this man touched remains unfinished. I am sorry that I paid him for the bulk of the work. When I say unfinished there is something that needs to be completed in every area. Mirror installed in upstairs bathroom. Exterior door framing need to be finished on both doors. Never ever use this man and if you do you will wait forever If he does end up completing the work. These three things have taken him 2 months which should have taken at maximum a couple of weeks. He only works 1/2 of the day and I also found him drinking on the job. He had a cooler of beer in my carport area. He doesn't return calls I have been calling him for the last week w/o success of a return call.

walked through the house with us, making suggestions on how to make the end results look better and, after we accepted his estimate, returned to help us select colors. His crew painted 2 rooms while we were on vacation, and we were very pleased with the results. They painted the rest of the house while we were gone another 2 weeks. Although they made a large mistake in the kitchen, once we showed

his crew returned 2 days later and redid the kitchen in 2.5 days (including stripping some very stubborn wallpaper). Although their bid was the highest we received, it was worth it as their professionalisma and quality exceeded our expectations.

Excellent. I would not have paid the 100.00 up front charge to give estimate but after reading the reviews i was confident that I was going with this company to do the work.

He did a very good job, but was a bit slow to communicate scheduling changes. Professional and personable when dealing with. He graciously accommendated additional emergency repair not included in original estimate.

The date is approximate because I have gotten rid of the paperwork because it was a constant reminder of how someone tried to rip me off. I could go on for hours about him but I won't. What he did was start charging me by the hour, coming only it seemed when I wasn't home (gave him a key). It was to be by the job, not by the hour. Initially, he started the closet. Basically, he was to put up a door to close off the area and place racks and shelves along 3 walls. First, the saloon-stylr door (not what I asked for) was upside down. He said he told me about that. No, he didn't. Second, I walked in on him one day and he had drilled about 30 holes in one wall looking for the stud and when I asked him why, he said he didn't bring his tool to help find it. But he had his work truck, you know the kind you can walk into and it has shelves and cabinets? Right. In the longrun, I had to take down everything he put up and I re-did it myself. The racks and shelves he put up where so low, I had to bend over to reach them and I'm 5'4". Short. he also left one end unfinished... Just raw cut metal shelving left as completed. There was also 2 shelves where he had cut them too short and rather than get a new piece and cut it to fit (my mom discovered this), when trying to hang clothing (on hangers) on the racks, the rack began to bend. Why??? Because it didn't fit into the connector because it was too short. In the meantime, he started work on my kitchen. Rather than start a task, finish it and go to the next, he had my entire first floor destroyed because he started everything. Nothing was ever finished. Nothing... Flooring, dishwasher hookup, fridge hookup, sink installation, etc... Nothing was finished. Once we caught on to what was going on, my mom told me to ask him what my total was so far. He gave me some random amount @$7,000.00. That's when my mom stepped in and had me call him to the house and we had family members there to support us. Once my grandmother started in on him, he began to studder and started backing towards the door. In the end, we inventoried all usable/returnable products he brought in that he could match to a receipt because he 'couldn't find' many of them. I ended up giving him a total of $900 over the course of the fiasco and was able to return some of the materials and re-coop @ $300.00. I WOULD NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO EVER USE HIM. And to make matters worse, the entire time he was 'working' on my home, he kept trying to get me to go out with him. *This occurred at our other home on

's guy showed up on time and worked through a couple of unexpected situations to achieve the goals for the project that we had set forth. The end result was a new space that can accommodate our refrigerator without impacting available storage space or visibly changing the overall look of the basement renovation.

performed the agreed-upon work on time and on budget. He honored the contract. That's pretty rare among contractors. He's exceptionally honest and is easy to talk to. We are very happy with the quality of our new kitchen, and we highly recommend
