Cincinnati Discount Appliances Reviews

"I worked with the sales staff at
Cincinnati Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
to select two sets of kitchen appliances. Of the three sales people, two were very knowledgeable and willing to do the work. The sales staff relies heavily on the

website for information and availability. A couple of items I picked from the website prior to my visit were not actually available. Like most dealers, they have little actual inventory except for a few heavily discounted floor models. Delivery charges were very reasonable, installation charges were very expensive.
The first set of appliances was delivered within 2 business days. I had scheduled an afternoon delivery. However, the automated call notified me of a morning appointment. I called the delivery line and requested a call ahead, which I did not receive; luckily I was home when they arrived. The fridge did not fit readily through the kitchen door and the men lacked the knowledge and motivation to solve the problem. In the end, they placed it in the dining room, after which I removed a rear

and moved it into place myself and reassembled everything. There was no damage or other problems.
The second set of appliances was delivered within a week of the purchase. Again, I received an automated call and this time I did receive a 30-minute notice. The delivery men placed them properly in the kitchen (this property has wide doors). Everything was delivered without damage or other problems.
I am still awaiting one more appliance that is not yet available.
"Dishwasher failed at a most inconvenient time. Service person recommended

for replacement. L&J sales provided good guidanse and delivered as promised. There was a small problem when it was found that the flooring under the dishwasher was warped and I had to provide a tool to deal with the problem. Their installer took the extra time to take care of it and completed the installation."
"I purchased a refrigerator from them. They were very helpful and theri prices were a couple of hundred of dollars cheaper than the big box stores. They said they would order it on Monday and that it would be in on Thurs. They delivered it on Thurs and worked with my time frame to be at my house to meet them for the delivery."
"They were very accommodating. I was rather weak at the time so they allowed me to use the wheelchair. They wheeled me all over their premises and showed me everything. They explained everything to me too. They really helped me understand what was necessary for my use of the machine and what was going to be needed. I chose one of their washer and dryer quickly. It was done quickly without too much hassle. I was looking for something that was going to last and pricing was also important. I was very pleased with them."
"When I walked in there were several people standing around. They looked at me and continued to chat with each other. After they had seen me standing around the manager told me he would be with me in just a moment and then proceeded to disappear, and that was the last I saw him. I left after a few minutes of standing there. It was poor customer service.

"It was frustrating because of the issues with my house. The people of

were good. I had to return some things, and they gave me no issues about crediting my account. The first salesperson wasn't very knowledgeable. The second salesperson was knowledgeable and helped me out a lot."
"Overall my experience ranged from very good to poor. The positives: nice show room, product knowledgeable sales person and competitive prices. Flexibility in working with the rebate program was helpful. All Items were purchased on March 8 and I was assured that a March 26 delivery would be possible with this amount of lead time.

For a number of reasons our contractor wanted appliances on site at the start of the project - March 26. While our fridge, range, wall oven and dishwasher arrived (March 27) within one day of the requested delivery date the microwave and trim kit was another story. These two items were critical because the contractor could not install the wall oven without the microwave and trim kit on hand.

Upon delivery of the other items I was informed that the microwave and trim kit were on back order and would arrive on April 8, that date passed and after calling to check again it became the week of April 22 for delivery and when, I again called to verify if they would arrive so our contractor could finish on April 27, as scheduled, I was informed that we are now looking at the first week of May. I wondered if I didn't call to ask the status for the delivery of these items when would I have found out about the delays? The thought of having our $1500 oven taking up space in our garage for over a month and our kitchen continued to be torn up and family disrupted while waiting for a $250 trim kit, that seemed like it would never arrive, got very old fast.

After this last delay in getting the trim kit I decided to take it upon myself and called custom distributors, who luckily had the item in stock, so I drove 60 minutes round trip and picked it up. The next day I drove to
Cincinnati Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
warehouse (another 40 minute round trip) to pick up the microwave - just so I could be assured that we would have these items available so that our contractor could finish the kitchen as scheduled. After I told the sales person that I went ahead and picked up the items I asked if I could have some of my $65 delivery charge refunded to compensate for my time and the savings they had by not having to deliver these items out to my home. I was told well they would have delivered them (when??) and that a partial refund would not be provided. At this point it was not about a few dollars for delivery.

While I don't hold the sales person responsible for production or factory related delays it would have been nice to have a little more sense of urgency and ownership in resolving my issue as a customer.
"Delivery occurred when promised. First the old refrigerator was removed. Because of space limitations, the new refrigerator doors (there were three as it is a french door refrigerator) had to be removed in order to get the new refigerator into the house and they had to carry it around to the back of the house, up the deck stairs and into the house through the door to the deck! I was very impressed as to how they handled these rather difficult logisitics. The new refrigerator was then put into place, the icemaker/water dispenser was hooked up to the existing water line, the refrigerator doors were reinstalled, and the legs were leveled. I was also given instructions about the water dispenser and ice maker."
"They have knowledgeable sales people with fair prices, and we were able to get exactly what we wanted at a lower cost than at other stores. Professionalism on delivery/installation was great too. We had a kitchen remodeler recommend

"Overall went well. The installers did the job in the amount of time estimated and cleaned up after themselves. The new HVAC system is installed and is saving me money as I type."
