"They were very good. It's a very busy place which was the problem I had with them, but they were very competent keeping in mind 8 years ago. They were competent health care providers for my dogs. I was very happy with them. I got off the neighborhood and that's the only reason I lost them. Pet care is really expensive like health care and worse sometimes. The staff was fine. I would have kept using them if I was still in the area. "

"Both the vets and the staff were exceptional. Dr.
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
suggested we do an endoscopy on my
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
kitty to be sure that his illness was not cancerous. I dropped him off in the morning and was able to pick him up that same evening. Fortunately no cancer was found and the diagnosis is Inflammatory Bowel Disorder (IBD) which is treatable with steroids. Yes, the price was high but I had great confidence in the vet - which is worth it when one is dealing with a member of his/her family. And they do give you ahead of time the expected cost and also refer you to an amazing service that does not charge any interest so long as it is paid off within one year of the procedure. It is for emergencies or rush exams and is open 24/7 - so you still maintain your original vet."

"I think the world of Dr.
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and would not consider seeing another veterinarian. She is thorough, conscientious, and gentle with my animals. She always lays out treatment options with the pros and cons of each, without trying to upsell services. She is always common-sensical in her approach. I always find her a pleasure to deal with-- a warm, friendly, down-to-earth patient, and sympathetic individual. Her prices are probably not the lowest, but she is all about quality service. You definitely get what you pay for when you see her. And her prices are certainly not at the"heart attack" level of some other veterinary hospitals in Chicago. Everyone at
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
is friendly and helpful. The facility is immaculate. No wonder
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was voted the best animal hospital in Chicago in an annual Chicago Reader poll.

"A lot of shots were administered to them. The vet is Dr.
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. He is excellent. He is a very good specialist for cats. He has been very good in caring for our two cats. They always call us if we take our cats there for an illness or whatever. Both cats have repeated eye infection. They always call us to make sure if the cats are doing better and so forth."

"They are great and very convenient to me. They always have very professional services. They are pretty much

rate or a little less. They have wellness programs for your animals. By having her vet services at the same place I board her, it works out very well. They seem to really care about the animals. The doctors are easy to talk to and they seemed concerned about your pets. "

"The most compelling story I have is when one of my cats became ill and was finally diagnosed with pancreatitis (a very difficult disease to diagnose in cats). She was aware of a what was then a new test that was only administered at the University of Texas which is now the standard and widely available. She walked me through every step, went through all the possiblities of treatments, risks of those treatments, supportive therapies and they were more than happy to answer all of my many questions each time I would call with yet another concern. Towards the end, she would even call me on Sundays (they are closed on Sundays) to see how he was doing. We fought hard but after two and a half years of contending with the disease, it was time to say goodbye (he was almost 16 at the time). At my request, they sent one of the assistants (who also is my sitter) to help me do that at home - no charge. During that incredibly difficult time, they were empathetic and incredibly supportive. They knew how difficult it was for me and did everything they could to help me through that tough time. On the lighter side, my other cat (who is almost 17) is very happy and active. She was diagnosed with kidney issues when she was 10 and a special diet and supplements were suggested and seven years later, she still is is the same cat I've always known...slowed down a little (she IS 80 in human years), but still loves to play. The owner, Dr.

, is a

. She remembers an unbelievable amount of detail about her patients. She can take one look at an animal and know instantly if that animal is well or not. My experience has been that she will answer as many questions as you may have and will walk you through all the alternatives of treatment, particularly if money is an issue. She is always up to date on the latest research. The staff (which has turned over a few times over 17 years and there has NEVER been a bad apple) is so friendly and are all animal lovers. Every person there understands how special the pet-human bond can be. They routinely call with follow ups if a new diet or medication or supplement is being initiated or after a procedure (such as a dental cleaning). They always return calls...usually very timely or, if I need to speak with Dr.
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, she will call after the office has closed just to make sure she has returned all her calls. I have recommended her to many people over the years and those friends, like me, swear by her. She has developed a very loyal following. I trust her absolutely and I feel that the care of my cat is a partnership between myself and
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. I am moving out of the area and the only thing that really bothers me about it is that I will no longer have her to help care for my cat. But, I asked if I could keep her in the loop and still get her take on my cat's care (given her long history with my cat) and not a problem. In short, if you love your pet as a member of your family and you haven't been here yet, do yourself and your beloved companion a favor and go on in.

"I am always pleased with the service that I get here. All of the staff are clearly animal lovers, and the waiting room is friendly and comfortable. The desk staff are cheerful and efficient. I usually do not request a specific vet but take whoever is on duty, and I have never been disappointed. All the vets and the techs clearly love their work and are genuinely concerned about their charges. Pepper became very ill at one point and required extensive testing and medication. Each time, the tech came in with a list of exactly what the charges would be for each procedure so there were no surprises. (And thank goodness that I have pet insurance!) The techs are very helpful in providing assistance in teaching you to do necessary procedures you will need to do home. They will go over things with you until you are sure you know what you are doing. They even helped me become comfortable in giving my rabbit regular SubQ injections with minimal trauma to both Pepper AND me! There is also a big advantage in that they share a facility with Animal 911 - an emergency clinic. I know that should I have an emergency, I could take Pepper there and there would be experienced rabbit vets on call and her records could be accessed. In addition, if you have to refill a medication and you can't get there during normal business hours, you can call it in to the people at
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
with your credit card information and they will process the charge and then you can pick up the medicine from Animal 911 after hours. I have utilized this service on several occasions and it is very convenient. The only reason not all As is that prices are a bit high. But for the peace of mind that I get from knowing that Pepper is in caring and knowledgeable hands, I'll pay that.

"Dr.
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was excellent. She was very caring, and yet efficient. She explained all she was doing and was very professional. She came on very short notice and was able to effectivly capture my cat who does not normally abide strangers, Dr.
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
's examination of my cat was thorough and her explanation of my options was excellent. When we decided that euthanization was best, she set up for and carried out the euthanization process professionally, but at the same time offering us whatever time we needed. The price for this was quite
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
for me, but when you consider the home visit, the capture and sedation of the cat, the examination and then the euthanization process, it was really quite reasonable. Dr.
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was very caring about my needs and those of my cat. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

"We adopted two puppies from an animal shelter that promoted
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
for their veterinary needs. At 6 months old they needed to be neutered. One puppy is very calm and easy going while the other is very high strung and energetic. I called them in the afternoon following the surgery to see about how it had gone. I was told everything went well and we could pick them up that evening. When we showed up to pick up the dogs, that didn't appear to be the case. The calm puppy had a nice incision at the site, while the energetic puppy had a large 6 inch diameter dark purple bruise. In addition it looked like at his "site", his intestines were bulging out. I immediately asked the vet look at him again and was told it was minor bruising and was not a hernia. They recommended that I put an ice pack on the area for several days... a task not easily done on a high strung dog! We also had to put the "dog cone" on his neck to prevent him from touching the area. My wife and I feel that extra care should have been given to him following the surgery. Given his high energy level, someone should have monitored him and made sure he didn't aggravate the surgery site. I don't believe that there should have been this much added complication for a common neutering procedure. My wife and I have decided to go back to my old vet since their follow-up has always been much more thorough. In the past when they have done surgical procedures on our previous two dogs, they never came back with this level of bruising and swelling."

"My two puppies were previously being treated by another vet (which was recommended by the animal shelter). We transferred our dogs care over to
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and this was the first time they were seeing one of our new dogs. The staff and Dr.
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
do a great job and show genuine concern about the care of your pet.
Chicago Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
gives you a list of options and possible care plans. He called back to check on how the medicine was working. We feel comfortable about recommending him to others."
