"Our backstairs & landings had not been cleaned or stained in 5 years and were starting to turn colors - gray (faded) and green (mold). SparkleWash (SW) promptly emailed a quote - and it was several hundred dollars LESS than past years. Their manager even came over to check the stairs and stain to make sure we got the correct match, since the company ...more provided all the stain for the project. As the wood needed to be dry, the stain part of project was weather-dependent and we postponed once. The manager's follow-up was excellent throughout the process. Also, the workers showed up ON TIME. They were neat and professional; we did not find stain droplets on the cement under the stairs. The manager offered to drop off a can of the stain after the project so we could do touch-ups and know what stain was used for next time. There are a few spots where stain did not soak in evenly but this is likely due to the age of the wood and brand of stain (SW suggested sticking with the same brand, which did not allow second coats while wet). They did stain the underside of stairs and did a good job on outside pieces, hard to reach on 2nd- 3rd floors. "

"Bad experience. was easy to get a hold of, but arrived a few hours after he said he would. He seemed very scattered and was very talkative, but really didn't listen to us or seem to follow a conversation very well. It was like he was in his own world. However, he seemed knowledgable about the various media he could use, different masonry issues, etc. He had seen a photo of our house and had some idea of the project, and had given us a preliminary quote of $520 to remove paint from all the trim. When he arrived, he said it would be $490 to take the paint off of only those pieces of trim that he could reach from the ground (about 1/2 the trim on the house). He described how he would protect the gutters and other parts of the house adjacent to the trim from damage. We finally agreed on a price of $350 for the lower trim. He got his hoses organized & began blasting. I don't know what is standard in terms of amount of sand, power, and spray size, but he broke both windows of our storm door and removed some paint from one of our new downspouts. He stopped part way through because he could see that the paint wasn't coming off evenly, and we decided to end the project there. He wanted $350, but he had done less than 1/2 of the work he was supposed to do for that price, plus he broke the window. I told him I figured he did $150 worth of work, minus $70 for the broken window, and he accepted $80. "

My drapes and furniture were all in their places and there were no spots on my carpet or walls - you could not even tell that they had been there. Will definitely use them again."
