was highly professional. He and his assistant were friendly and punctual. They never complained about parking...they simply handled it. They cleaned up after themselves and
followed-up later to make sure there were no questions regarding cure time, etc.. I endorse
and plan to hire them again when I'm ready for more plaster work.

We looked at several providers before selecting
. We selected them not necessarily because they were the cheapest, but because their proposal was the most complete and gave us a good sense of what was going to happen. The pricing was very fair, though, and
from A1 gave us confidence that this he understood what needed to be done, and that it was going to go well.

And it did go really well. Throughout any project of this size, there are going to be twists and turns.
and his diligent team rolled with every change, and came with a positive attitude. I've worked with many construction firms who nickel and dime or try and convince you to do something the cheap way because it was easy on them.
and he team kept an eye and guided us throughout the project. He was incredibly responsive. I would often send emails of things I was thinking about/concerned about/wanted done.
was right on them, often responding within minutes, even when it was late into the night.

The asbestos removal guy we hired outside to get things started didn't remove all layers of the floor.
and his team solved that. Our toilet leaked and damaged one of the cabinets.
took responsibility (even though I did not think it was their fault) and replace the cabinet. We picked a hard to find countertop and
sourced it and moved around schedules to get it installed in time for our house guests. There were small things, too. Every other day I would come in and say, "hmmm...we never talked about this, but now that I see it, can we change something around?"
and his team were on the ball, always ready to adapt.

My point on all of this is that when you do a project like this, you have to understand that there are going to be surprises. And the provider you choose will either make a big deal and create a lot of drama and change orders on you, or, handle it like a professional, collaborate with you, and work to keep things in line, on your budget and on time.
is the latter.

If you're looking for a provider who will be with you every step of the way, and get things done in a high quality manner, then you shouldn't hesitate to choose
.

The job went great. It was done fast and very neat. Because he did such a good job plastering the sanding was minimal, therefore cleanup was minimal. He laid drop clothes, mixed all the plaster outside and cleaned up the dust. I am very pleased. I think his price was fair and the quality was excellent. I would recommend
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
for any job.

We had a hole in the Dryvit on the side of our house caused by birds.

from

Plastering came out and said it would take 2 trips to repair, 1 for a first coat and then a finish coat. After the first coat was completed the birds came back and re-damaged, so he re-did the first coat at no extra charge and also put up some protective mesh so they could not damage it again. The work was competed and I was very satisfied. Would definitely recommend them.

I would hire this man again in a heartbeat. He had three workers at my condo every day for three weeks. Two weeks of prep to whip our vintage plaster walls into shape, and one week of painting.
My walls are smooth and lovely now.
I was having my floors redone at the same time, and Titi coordinated independently with my flooring guy so that the painting prep work happened before the floors were sanded & stripped, and the rest of the painting work happened after the floors were sanded, stripped, stained, and had all but the final coat of finish applied to them. (My flooring guy came back to do the final buffing when Titi was done). Titi was super careful about my floors, btw, covering them so that they were neither stained nor scratched.
Titi's work included:
* Painting every room in our 3100 SF condo (except one bathroom), including all closets, all trim, all doors, all ceilings -- everything.
* Stripping wallpaper in three rooms, possibly also a closet (can't remember)
* Repairing walls as necessary
* Removing a built in desk in the office that was beyond repair, and making the wall behind it look like like the desk was never there
He showed up on time, did the work, bought the paints for us, used as many coats of primer/paint as necessary to cover the previous painting work (some of our trim was red, some of it black, we wanted it all to be white, in some places Titi had to apply 4 coats of paint to make it white).
We're very happy with the results.

Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
was recommended to us by friends.
They covered and masked floor, walls and furniture during the process. Scraped off peeling paint and or loosened finish coat of plaster. Added reinforcement screws to the ceiling where needed. Applied fiber-glass mesh/tape over the ceiling and cracked wall areas. Applied 3 skim-coats, sanded and primed. Cleaned up at the end of the project. The entire project with a 2 man crew of
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
took 7 days. The family room used to be a bedroom and enclosed porch. The patching/ plaster work done on the ceiling and side wall when the common wall was taken down 26+ years ago was really sloppy. Now the ceiling and wall are one continuous smooth service. Plaster sanding is a dusty job, there is no away around it but the men were very good about keeping it contained by closing doors and sealing up closets. The finished work is amazing and I got exactly the look I was expecting. My wife and I are considering having the other walls done when our funds permit.

We called
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
in early December 2013 based on good Angie’s List reviews.
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
scheduled a time/day to review our building, got us an estimate via email a couple days later, but said he would not be available to start the work for 4-6 weeks.
On Friday, February 7, 2014,
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
called and asked if he could start our project the coming Wednesday, February 12, or we’d need to wait another month.
When
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
and co-worker arrived on Wednesday at 8am, we admit we were still putting up plastic over doorways and moving clothes and diapers out to the car while
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
staged his equipment. When
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
called Friday, he told us we were not going to be able to live on one floor of our 2-flat while the other floor received the work and then switch spaces for work to continue. Yet, when supplying his estimate,
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
said this would be fine. Earlier Wednesday morning, we also had a meeting with our general contractor that resulted in some trim work repairs in an adjacent room to where
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
would be working. Unfortunately, I had miscommunicated and did not realize my wife said this work could be done.
Maybe 15-20 minutes after
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrived,
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
comes up to me yelling vehemently, “I’m done! I quit! I’m walking off the job! … You just
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
’t ****
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
get it!”
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
continued to scream while our two small children were present. My wife was holding our 2-year-old daughter who was trembling. We asked
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
to calm down and talk, but he was adamant, complaining about our lack of readiness, the built in dining room cabinet that was present when he came to give us an estimate, but
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
claims was built after he submitted his estimate and paying his co-worker to just stand around, etc… After trying to explain the communication error between my wife and general contractor,
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
proceeded to pack up his materials to leave.
I admit to not being 100% ready for
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
to begin work, but being 90%+ ready, there are many other ways the situation could have been addressed without cursing, including charging us for the possible half hour delay he felt he was incurring. A small credit to
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
– later in the day,
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
did call to apologize.
To be clear, we cannot grade
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s work because no plasterwork actually took place. This review is merely a failing grade of
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s attitude for Wednesday, February 12, 2014.

When I called
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
owner
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
for a painting quote, he noticed that the plaster walls in two of the five bedrooms needed repair before painting. I was aware of the cracks but like a lot of things in my 100-year old building, I didn’t want to pay attention because it’s a hassle to fix and I had been able to get by. However, this time I thought it was time and I trusted
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s assessment because I’ve used him many times for painting and repairs. It was a messy project when he and his crew removed the old plaster and rebuilt the bad sections of the wall. But when they finished, I couldn’t tell where the new sections merged with the old walls. The wall project cost me additional money but it was well worth it. The total cost for the apartment project included taping off all the woodwork to protect it from splatters and the little extras that
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
is willing to do at the same time – like caulking a bathtub and fixing chips in porcelain. I should note that there were areas and rooms that only needed paint touch-ups so the price does not include the entire apartment.

Overall the work was done well. I wish the contractor was a bit more careful on with the paint job. We asked to do the ceiling adjacent to a green wall. The ceiling was white. There was a good amount of white paint that got on to the green wall. The work was good, but just a little sloppy and we had to retouch up the green wall.

After buying a house but before moving in, we wanted to do several projects. Timing was tight.
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
not only fit into our schedule for painting but referred us to someone to sand & stain our floors first.
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
came in and we had a detailed discussion on colors for every room & trim. They generally use
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
and I think it is the best paint. However for the kitchen I had picked a color from another store I loved and he bought paint for that room separately so I would get the exact color.
The painting was done perfectly. There was no paint where there shouldn't be, like on hinges etc. The trim & moulding were done beautifully and they stand out now. The house looks so good and they were really thorough and careful on the details. I have gotten lots of comments on how great the house looks. I would highly recommend this company to anyone for painting.
Chicago Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
is excellent at managing his operation.
