Chicago Pediatric Dentists Reviews

B
"They are pediatric dentists and have dentists who are fresh out of school; they have the latest technologies and techniques, so it is very non-invidious and very gentle. They have computer imaging rather than constant x-rays and they are very accurate with what they do. They are not extremists like some other dentists I have used, who would say that the child has eight cavities that need to be filled, they take a look, tell me how many cavities are there, which ones will just fall out and

’t just go on to filling them, so they do what is in the child’s best interest. They are great with kids and I can’t complain about their dental work at all because they are really the best. They have medical assistance and they are really good, however they office policies are really awful because if I am more than ten minutes late, they will cancel my appointment and charge me $25 for that and because of their location it is very easy to be late and once I get there I could end up waiting for an hour to an hour and a half, but they won’t give me any allowance since they are late. They have been times that I have been in the waiting room and it’s so stuffed with people that I am standing there lonely and some people are even standing outside, and these are people with appointments and not patients at a walk in clinic. There was one time when we were on time, but they couldn’t see my son and my son and I had waited for over an hour and we had to leave, and they told me that they were going to charge me $25 for skipping my appointment, so I said that I had waited for over an hour and they are the ones who can’t see us, but I was still charged for missing the appointment and if I want to look at my records they will charge me $20 for that too. I think they started this policy to make sure that they patients wouldn’t be missing their appointments, and now they have gone so far in the opposite direction that they are no longer being reasonable to their patients. They keep pushing these policies that they can’t keep to, but expect their patients to uphold, so they always have a lot of angry patients in their waiting room who can’t expect to be treated quickly by them. The dentists are phenomenal, but the staff and the policies are very poor. I would use them again in the future.

"Each visit has been perfectly pleasant. Even when Dr

had to fill a cavity, she was so thorough in explaining everything to my daughter and talked with her throughout the process so that my daughter was calm throughout."

"pros: Dr.
Chicago Pediatric Dentists Provider Name Locked
is first class and her staff and office environment are very kid-friendly. She explains everything, answers all your questions, never seems rushed and genuinely likes her young patients. Office is very clean (very important to us) and the equipment is updated and well maintained.

cons: The office is busy so plan your appointments well in advance. Out of network insurance fees apply so treatments normally covered by insurance will require some out of pocket costs. Office manager at the front desk could be friendlier and more personable. Other than that, nothing else to complain about."

"Dr
Chicago Pediatric Dentists Provider Name Locked
has treated my children since they were in elementary school, and they go happily and regularly to the dentist. The dentist prior to her was not a good experience for my kids, so Dr

has taken a negative impression of dentists and turned it around to a positive and constructive relationship."

"They seemed very nice and we only had one visit. They are very helpful and good with babies. The office is very nice, clean and well kept."

"The waiting room is clean and well stocked with toys/books appropriate for kids. The receptionist is pleasant. Scheduling the appointment is easy. Dr.

and her technician are both great with kids. My daughter went from a very reluctant brusher to being actually excited to brush and can't wait to visit them again! We had to pay upfront and then our insurance reimbursed us later with a check. We had no issues with the process."

"In four years we saw three different dentists and were switched around without warning. My children, who are very nervous around strangers, had to re-adjust every time they walked in and found someone brand new treating them. It was very h****** them. Some prior warning would have been nice. A children's dental practice should understand that some children don't handle change and surprises well. When they call to confirm the appointment, they could easily tell parents that the child will be seeing a new dentist. (Dr

, the 2d of the three dentists we saw had a great chair-side manner, but has since started her own practice.) When I grew dissatisfied, I tried to get my dental records, but it took three weeks of calling cajoling and I still don't have them. They claimed they never got my release form, but I mailed it along with a payment and they cashed the payment the day after I sent it, but still never sent the medical records. Many calls went unreturned. One more minor point: The last time we went I was asked to fill out a new very lengthy (several pages) dental form even though I assured the staff that none of our information had changed. I was simultaneously trying to reassure one child (who was scared of the new dentist), entertain the other child, fill out a lengthy form with the exact information from the last form, then repeat the whole process for the next child. It made for a very stressful experience for all of us. I would have been happy to review the old form and let them know if any information had changed.

"Dr. CF was recommended highly by our pediatrician. She's good-natured and bright. My six-year-old has loved going to the dentist, admittedly, largely because the waiting room is "awesome." It can entertain many ages--tots to young teens--and parents with plenty of reading material and televisions. It's an efficient office, in a building that is conveniently located and has ample free parking. The group sends reminder cards before appointments, which is great when you (can) schedule follow-up appts many, many months in advance. They even allow for after school time visits for older kids. I'd definitely recommend her to my friends."

"The office if extremely different from the dentist I went to as a kid. It's almost an overload in the waiting area (video games, TV, climbing equipment, toys, etc.), but, I suppose they're being gracious to their client

. They take the children back without a parent and bring the parent in after the appointment is over. The hygienist is always friendly when she greets my daughter, and I can understand why it probably doesn't help to have parents hovering while they're examining the teeth. When my daughter's cavity came up, they were able to show me where it was on a special printout. She's mostly excited because the "Tooth Doctor" gave her a plastic ring and a toothbrush. I like this dentist, although it's a little too showy for my tastes but I can live with that."

"She has been great, she is very friendly and she is very good with our kids. She is very good at relating to the kids and making their experience more fun. She has great communication skills with us as parents as well."
