It went really well. Her teacher,
, is very professional and helpful when teaching her. He works really well and helps her find her level and gets her to push herself to do better. She was taking lessons in a group before and the one on one has made a huge difference. I would recommend if you are looking for music lessons check out

I am a senior citizen. I have wanted to learn piano for what seems a century, mostly the great American songbood.
has made it easy to "voice" the music from "fake books".

If you are a beginner do not guide
. Learn the basics then run in the musical direction you want.
makes it easy.

By the way, I ain't too bad! Oh and
did not begin with "chopsticks".or "heart and soul". Once the basics were out of the way we did, "the nearness of you". !

This is one of the best places. It is a warm and welcoming community and all the teachers I've had (3) have been nice, helpful, low-key and fun. I've learned basic guitar in 10 months. They also have a store in the building where I bought my guitar--the people seem caring and trustworthy. This place is not your normal hole in the wall music store--it's a non-profit building and program dedicated to the community and turning out happy musicians who like to play.

Wiggleworms is a fun class for kids, but it is really high-priced. I guess when you divide it out by 16 classes, it's $15 a class, but it still seems like quite a bit in the long run. I have found comparable classes for less money which I would do in the future. Wiggleworms classes are also dependent upon the instructors. I liked our instructor, but we frequently had a sub which is a little bit hard as the songs change from instructor to instructor which kind of affects the anticipation of a two year-old. I suppose it would be nice for that cost if they would give you a CD of the songs to go with the class but they don't do that. Those would cost you extra.

Excellent. The lessons are once a week for 1/2 hour. The teaching is the

method. A parent or caregiver must be at the lesson to take notes and help the child with practicing during the week.

is an excellent guitar teacher, and he has established a great rapport with my son. My son has been taking lessons for 9 months or so and can already play a half dozen songs. Neat stuff! And he's learning great technique, too. The lessons are pricey, but there's a sliding scale for families with incomes lower than $65k or so (if I remember correctly). Also, the kids get high-quality classical music education. They also offer duo lessons where you can hook up with another child at your child's level. These lessons cost less; we did that during the winter (starting in January) session, and it worked out great, as both my son and another child were just beginning to learn to play.

is a very caring and patient instructor. He also teaches beginning and advanced students both in piano and voice. With a masters degree in opera and performance from the Manhattan School of Music, he displays considerable knowledge and skill without being intimidating. Since I have a piano, he does come to my place although he also teaches students from out of his home.

Both of our children love it. It is an amazing space, and the teachers are extra special. Our children have developed and benefited from the child development expertise, and I've learned a few things as a parent too! I am grateful for the education that our kids got and are still getting at Bubbles. It might sound silly that I can say that for little ones, but it is noticeable in their development that they are getting a lot out of the classes. This has instilled a love of learning that I hope to keep alive as they grow older. I highly recommend taking classes. The instructors seem to love children and are very patient with the kids (and sometimes the parents). The teachers are good at getting parents to actively participate. They are very creative in class design and offering! It is the only place I know of that offers a pre-preschool program. It helped us manage transitions before going to pre-school. I am signed up for the next session!

Djembe 1 is an excellent class for beginning drummers. The instructor is attentive, supportive, and challenging without being demanding. Students learn one or two rhythms in eight weeks, plus the dundun parts for each rhythm. Djembe 2 is more challenging- the rhythms are more complex and the students are more experienced. Each week I experienced significant improvement in listening and playing skills.
