Medical Alert System reviews in Chicago

As of
Chicago Medical Alert Systems Provider Name Locked
2014 I had signed up my parents for
Chicago Medical Alert Systems Provider Name Locked
. At the time my father was alive and I saw this on their website. They presented to me that it was the size of an answering machine but it was larger so I requested a necklace but instead received a wristband. After that my father started getting ill so we opened up package and noticed it was not what we ordered so I called to get this returned. I called twice to finally get a shipping label to return items since was not correct. After my father passed away my mother started getting ill and was falling. I received a sales call from
Chicago Medical Alert Systems Provider Name Locked
regarding this and we had several calls because the falling alert was not working for my mother. Every time I called I was talking to numerous people per phone calls as well as being put on hold numerous times. The technical department promised to call and help with this but no one called me back or emailed me back. I called the sales rep and he said he would email the technical help dept. I was becoming frustrated because no one would help me. SO I called and told them I was going to cancel. They would not cancel and are still charging my discover card so had to dispute on my credit card. Through a 3 way call with
Chicago Medical Alert Systems Provider Name Locked
and discover,
Chicago Medical Alert Systems Provider Name Locked
said they were not charging my credit card but they did.
Chicago Medical Alert Systems Provider Name Locked
gave us another number to call about the credit card charges. The company is continuing to try and charge my credit card. My bank has to put a block on them to stop using my credit card without my permission.

System works great. Professional yet personal customer service. I have called with questions and have always been treated as if I were the only person in the world. I highly recommend this company.
- Cindy W.

Provider was attentive in communication and professional both on the phone and in person.
Everyone was pleased with the service and value. Would recommend to others.
- AMY S.

Customer service at this company is fantastic. I was having a problem and the staff was very helpful and patient. They are wonderful!!!!

My parents are resistant to new things and to strange people in their house. But by telephone, they managed to complete the testing and placing of the device quite smoothly. Great service working with difficult customers!
- JM T.

I signed up for the Medical Alert system by
Chicago Medical Alert Systems Provider Name Locked
. Once I was signed up he said he was going to send a contract and walk me through the system.
Chicago Medical Alert Systems Provider Name Locked
sent me my machine and I could not get ahold of him to learn how to use it. I never received the contract. They would not discuss automatic renewals even though I do not have a contract with them. They have no recourse if you have any problems. The only thing they said they could do was extend the contract.
- Sherry H.

I have the Gaudian Home Medical Alert System. It works really well and I feel very comfortable wearing it! I've tested it several times and even set it off by accident a couple of time and it worked perfectly.

Had it for almost two years, and never had to use it in an emergency, but tested it and that went fine. When I needed to end the contract because mom moved to assisted living, I was told to send everything back in the original packaging on my own expense and only then would I get a refund of unused months. Well, my mom had lost one of the monitors which is a cheap plastic transmitter, and they charged me enormously for it. Just BE AWARE you need to keep everything and send it back at your own expense and insured for $350.00. If you don't they will charge you $350.00. I spent $700.00 for this, and they were not even nice about it when I questioned it. Won't use them again.
