did a nice job helping me get wifi throughout my home. Unfortunately we had to sit on the phone with Comcast for about an hour due to their system being down.
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
gave me a break on the price seeing as we were just waiting for Comcast to not be so incompetent. I really appreciated that and would have him back if we needed anything else. He also gave me a follow up call the next day to make sure everything was still working well.

diagnosed the problem over the phone; played the role of my internet service provider and a computer expert. He came over and in one hour with alot of explanation of red wires; green wires; blue wires; black wires that in my case went in one ear and out the other.......solved my problem! He was a true service provider. Imagine someone who actually assumed I had a full time day job and wanted to come over to diagnose post 6pm on any given day that I wanted?!? Can you imagine how easy life would be if they were available when YOU were available?!?
A consumate professional who with his 20+ years experience has seen my type of problem probably a 1000 times. I had gotten other quotes including from my WIFI provider that were 4X more expensive. Kudos to
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
for his effort that day.

"My internet connection started responding very slowly, disconnected frequently and/or failed to reset or sign on at all.I connect to the internet via a home wireless network that is shared by at least 4 other computers. None of them were having any problems at all. I had purchased an online service program from one of the "Big Box" stores and they had been pretty helpful previously so I contacted the service provider first.. Their process is to remotely access my computer. They however ran into the same problem of not being able to stay connected to the internet long enough to do anything and advised me to take the computer to the store where I had purchased my plan so they could connect through an ethernet cable. They said they had fixed the problem but when I got home the problem continued. After a second visit to the store I had the same result so I decided to have the computer checked by an independent computer specialist. Through an Angie's list

I selected and called

and talked to

. I was immediately impressed with

's interest in helping me with my problem. I was equally impressed with that he asked a lot of questions on the phone to get a good idea of what he would be looking at when he came out. We made an appointment for the next day and
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
arrived right on time and. he spent a little more that an hour trying to diagnose the problem. I, having little knowledge of the inner working of a computer, cannot detail what
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
did other than to state he ran a lot of diagnostics and checked the router for our in-house wireless network. He finally said that he had never run into anything like the problem I was having. (I must interject at this point that I had no reservations about
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
's expertise or professionalism and appreciated his candidness.) He could only offer that the problem could be internal with my computer, more specifically with my internal internet wireless card. He suggested attaching a separate wireless adapter therefore bypassing the internal wireless card. If that didn't work we could consider restoring the computer to its original factory settings. Finally he also suggested connecting to an outside wireless network, i.e. Starburcks.

at this point offered not to charge for his service call since he did not solve my problem--I refused the offer.
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
was very professional, obviously knowledgeable and experienced. He did as well as anyone could expect and had earned his fee.

OK, I have no good explanation for the following but here it is. I did buy an internet adapter, installed it--my problem continued at home. I did take my computer to an outside Wi-Fi location and logged onto the internet both with and without using the adapter--everything ran beautifully! I returned the adapter and got my money back. Having resigned myself to having to try restoring my computer I was going to contact
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
to do so when I got home. Here's where it get spooky. I sat down in my living room when I got home decided for no particular reason decided to try and sign on. To my amazement my internet connection worked beautifully and has done so for almost 3 weeks now. Prior to this I was exclusively using my computer in an area of the laundry room where I had set up a small work area. I, rightly or wrongly, inferred that something in the laundry room was interfering with my wireless connection, but I was hesitant to try and log on in there again in case it would mess things up. I finally did give it a try and, you guessed it, all my problems returned. Fortunately though I can still sign on in my living room, outside in the back yard and at other outside Wi-Fi locations all without having any issues at all. I have moved my office location.

There is no logical explanation for my computer issues but I must emphasize again that these issues appear to be unique to me and therefore no reflection on anyone that tried to assist me, most especially

"They make you go through a whole series of tests to figure out what is wrong with your phone service and internet, which takes about an hour on the phone (cell phone since the landline doesn't work). Then they conclude that they need to send out a technician. Then you wait to get an appointment. They set up a three-hour window during which they say they will come. Then a half hour before the end of the period, they send out an automated phone call telling you they located the service problem in my area and unilaterally cancel the appointment after I arranged my date to accommodate their time schedule. The automated call tells me to call back if I still have a problem. I call back and get someone in Mississippi. That person puts me on hold for 20 minutes while she finds where the technician is. I'm told he will arrive within 15 minutes. No one shows up. An hour an a half later I call back and they tell me that maybe it is my router and they'll have to send me a new one. They can't tell me where the technician is and say he isn't coming if it is "just a router" and want to give me a phone number for the company that supplies the router. When the techs actually do come out and they have to wait to get their calls through to the main office for testing purposes, which on average takes 30 to 40 minutes. Then they get calls on their cell phones asking them where they are and why it is taking so long. This is about two days of my time and a lot of aggravation for the prices they charge. No one knows what the other techs or service people are doing. What a fiasco! I have put up with this for about 10 years and the service has gotten worse over that time. They are at my home on an average of every 2-3 weeks trying to figure out why their equipment doesn't work (mostly internet and landline, but sometimes the TV cable service as well). No more

for me! Would never recommend this company.

"KosheRestaurants.com went out of their way to find a kosher place for me to eat. It looks like they are in the process of populating the website with more kosher listings and this should be very helpful to many kosher consumers. This is a great service on the internet."

"I bought a new computer and was having trouble setting up my e-mail account in the new "Wndows Live Mail" in Windows 7. I tried to get help through the Microsoft help website which

to a lot of frustration. Then I tried the company that sold me the computer, and they tried, but couldn't figure it out. Finally I called WOW, which is my Internet and cable TV provider. Their computerized menu was short and easily understandable. It routed me to a actual real live person quickly and that person understood my problem immediately. She was knowledgeable and she guided me through the set-up step by step. She told me that my Outlook address book wouldn't propagate to Windows Live Mail and suggested I e-mail my old address book to myself. I only e-mail about a dozen people, so I chose to just go to the old computer and copy the address book by hand, rather than try to get the old computer hooked up to the Internet again. I actually understand the process now."

"We ordered internet and cable together. We pay $50.00 a month for both TV & internet, with over 200 cable channels! Sometimes our internet service goes down, maybe once every 3-4 months for a couple of hours, but, overall, I found them to be much better than any of the alternatives we have used."

"Hookup went very well, easy to set up, the price is right, and we have never once had an interruption in service. Service can be a bit slow during peak periods, but we have the cheapest level and it is more than acceptable."

"I recently opened an account at
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
with a promotional bundle package for internet, cable, and phone for $90 per month. I was told by the sales representative,
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
, that I would have a one time install fee of $34.95, and would be charged an additional 2.95 per additional converter (2), and 6.95 for the DVR. After the services were set-up, I was expecting my bills to be around $105 + tax. Instead, my first full bill was $286.41. I contacted
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
, and spent several minutes on the phone telling my story to the customer service representative. As we tried to resolve the issue, I was disconnected. I tried to call back, and was disconnected during the process two more times. After that, I tried to contact
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
, the sales rep. I told him what happened, and he said that he would try to resolve the issue. I was again, disconnected. So, I called him back and he said that I would be credited the difference on my next bill. I told him that I would not pay more than I owe, so he said he would transfer me to billing to rectify the issue. After waiting on hold for over 40 minutes, I was once again disconnected. So, I decided to drive to the SBC billing center in Chicago last Saturday, 7/19/08. I spoke with the customer service rep there, and she said that she could not help me because she is not a supervisor. She assured me the supervisor would contact me by Tuesday to rectify the issue. I still have not heard from the supervisor. After that, I contacted customer service online at
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
. I have been emailing
Chicago Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
about the issue. After emailing several times to get her to follow-up, it finally seemed like we were getting closer to resolving the issue. However, I still needed an itemized bill so that I knew what I was paying for. I finally received the bills today online, and they were again, incorrect. Now, the bills say that I owe $482.41 and the charges have not been corrected. In addition, I was charged late fees. I have been working VERY hard to rectify this situation so that I would know how much I owe, and what I am paying for. I told every person I spoke to that I would not overpay, and I would pay once I have an accurate bill. I am still trying to rectify my bill and have contacted the Better Business Bureau to assist me in this.

responded promptly but was not able to get out to see the job for a week because he had just injured his leg and was on crutches. He set up an appointment after a week and then came out to look at job and give an estimate. Initially discouraged me from doing additional cable run to my Family room as he said the conduit going there already had 4 cables in it and adding another one was problematic. He said he could try but might not be able to do it and discouraged me from doing so. He gave me alternate mechanisms to solve the problem in the future if I decided to switch to Satellite and needed the Antenna signal for local stations. It took a while before he had recovered enough to do the job but then when he came everything went smoothly. He explained what he was doing and after had done the rec room he said he was more optimistic about putting in an additional cable for Family room if I still wanted. I decided to defer this until it was necessary. It took about an 1.5 hours to do the job and

was very considerate in taking his shoes off and on when entering and exiting the house even though he was still limping.
