Drywall Repair And Installation Reviews in Chicago

Glued drywall onto ceiling and walls. I changed my mind. I decided to cancel the job. Instead I wanted him to drywall the adjacent dining room area. I did not return my money or call after that. I reported him to the Illinois Attorney General's office in 2009.

were fantastic. They did a great
and even cleaned everything up afterwards. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. It is difficult to find people who show up on time and do this extremely high quality work.

Drywall Repair And Installation reviews in Chicago

The work that needed to be done is located in a indoor front foyer that is unheated. The purchase of the Big Deal and actual completion of the work was 6 months apart due to the wonderful winter of 2013! It delayed the work due to the fact that it had to be done when the plaster could dry. And
Chicago Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
Develop. Corp. gladly agreed that the work should be done when the weather permitted. That said, their man came and did a very competent job in removing crumbling plaster in a corner location in the front hall foyer. He carefully pulled up wallpaper, cut out the plaster and lathe, replaced it very professionally with drywall, taped/mudded,,primed it, waited for it to dry, and pasted the wallpaper back down. Very good job! He left the foyer clean. Very pleased with the job and would use this company again.

Ulises came first to look at what needed to be done and give me an estimate. His work order was very complete and clearly stated what they would do and how. Two guys showed up on time (8AM) on the appointed day. They got immediately to work, and completed a few layers of plaster that day. Using a vacuum while they were sanding the layers worked very well in keeping the plaster dust down. One guy returned the second day to finish sanding and priming. Aside from several very small primer dots on the floor, the room was left very clean and the walls looked beautiful.

My house is a 1922 year old Bungalow, and had NEVER been remodeled. I inherited it and have plans to put it up for sale. I started with remodeling the bathroom, refinishing the hardwood floors through-out and painting. Then, it came time to take a good look at the sad state of the kitchen. I worked weeks at removing many layers of wallpaper and plastic tile. I discovered the plaster walls were a mess. I decided to put new dry wall up so I would have smooth walls to paint. I had the company that did the bathroom, dry wall the kitchen. At first I was going to try to put in a few new cabinets myself, but then decided that this job (as small as I thought it was) needed an expert. Crooked walls...ect.
I found

the owner of

Remodelers. I could not have been happier! After the initial meeting with

he provided me with some great ideas on how to maximize my small kitchen. He was on time, friendly and very knowledgeable about every aspect of remodeling. I told him I needed to get the house renovated so I could put it on the

Within 24 hours,

up a design for the kitchen and had my estimate ready. He was able to start the project within a few days. Lucky me! He closed off a window in the kitchen with more dry wall so I could have wall space for upper and lower cabinets. YEAH! When he started, there were only a few METAL cabinets over a very old sink, no other cabinets. He closed off two windows in the pantry with drywall and removed and enlarged the door opening. He eliminated the refrigerator in the kitchen and moved it to the pantry. He added matching kitchen cabinets in the pantry. Originally, the pantry had only wooden shelves and a small cabinet. His design was great, because he added much needed cabinets and counter space in the kitchen. We also closed off a doorway to a bedroom that was off the kitchen.

referred me to a Kitchen Cabinet Specialist (she was great and watched my budget as well) and a Granite Countertop Company. All I had to do was pick out the cabinets, granite and faucet for the sink. My husband installed the light fixture.

worked very closely with both the cabinet company and the granite specialist through-out the remodel. The Cabinets took about ten days from purchase to delivery. During which time I had a all my hard wood floors refinished. The cabinets were installed in a day and the Granite a few days later. Things went so smooth. Timing was perfect from beginning to end. Everything turned out beautifully.

was in contact with me almost daily by phone or text message. His crew did a wonderful job, never leaving without cleaning up. And he kept me on budget! There is never a reason to watch over his shoulder as he is on top of EVERYTHING! don't even think of hiring anyone else, as he is the BEST!

The total cost of my kitchen: this does include the initial drywall installed by another company,

I will admit I am a very picky person, a worry wort, and the smallest of details are important to me.

Owner arrived the day before to verify the work. I had removed the microwave from the package to verify there was no damage in delivery and to reduce the time for the installation. He told me I had only paid for 2 men for one hour, but I actually paid for 3 hours on a big deal. Two installers arrived the next day. I requested they watch the on-line installation video from LG but they refused. I then asked they use the installation templates, but again they refused. They said they would be able to use the

from the current microwave. They unscrewed the bolts from the upper cabinet, but were then not able to get the microwave out of the cabinet. I then showed them the part of the video which showed the

worked like a hinge and they needed to drop the face of the microwave to unhook the back

. That worked. They picked up the new microwave, latched the back

and tipped it up in to place. I asked them if they were sure the holes were in the right position to attach the new microwave, since it was a different brand. They assured me they were. They screwed the first two, but the third was not in the correct position. They had to unscrew the first two bolts and then take down the microwave. They were sweating with the work of first having trouble removing the old and then holding up the new for so long. They then agreed to use the template to locate the third hole. They did not have a hole drill, just a large drill bit. They drilled the hold off-center, not in the cross-hairs. When they then again tried to mount the microwave, the third hole was not lined up. Still holding up the microwave, they attempted to enlarge the hold with the drill. They finally got the bolt through and finished the installation. The upper cabinet doors rubbed, so I asked them to adjust the doors up. The second workman had already left with the tools, so I had to provide a screwdriver. As I was testing the doors, I noticed a

on the microwave when he saw it the day before. I asked him where the

was, but he said he couldn't remember. I asked him if he noticed a possible problem why didn't he show me to avoid exactly this kind of problem. He said he didn't want to embarrass me. I asked him to call his installer to verify and then call me back. The installer had already called him to explain the hole problem, but I told him I didn't care about the hole. I did care that his installers would not watch the video nor use the templates in the first place to avoid the very problems they ran in to. He then told me he was A rated and this was my fault. I waited 2 hours for him to return my call. I finally called him. He informed me that this was not his problem. He had called Angie's List and warned them that I would be calling. He said they know him and would believe him and that I was just trying to be dishonest and get something from him. I recorded the call.

I called Angie's List, but they were closed early for the Memorial Holiday

Very good communication. Easy to set an appointment. They arrived on time and worked very quickly and efficiently. They did not even need to use my garden hose to wash the leftover debris down the gutter spout because they had a 10

bucket that they could fill and bring up to the roof to provide the water. They also had several long extension ladders to easily reach the roof which is about 30 feet above the ground. I was very pleased with the the quality of their work and surprised how fast they were able to get the job completed.

This husband and wife team did a million big and little things around our house over several weeks as we worked to get it ready to put on the

. We first asked Rich to install some drapery rods and hang a large mirror, and were so impressed by his work that we really piled on the jobs. When he realized we needed some help organizing, cleaning and painting, wife

is a top notch organizer and painter, and I don't believe I've ever seen anyone work so hard. She helped us tackle our dungeon of a basement and somehow turn it into an inviting space in a single day. She's not at all pushy but is

full of great suggestions and stamina.

organized, polished, and painted until the house shone. Meanwhile, Rich was equally busy replacing sliding closet doors and the hideous old side door to our garage. He somehow fixed our sagging gates, repaired our dysfunctional electrical outlets, patched a cracked ceiling until it looked perfect, found and installed a great matching trim for our old laminate countertops, and came up with innovative solutions to dozens of nagging little problems.
I work long hours away from home and could never have managed this house prep without Rich and
Chicago Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
's help. I so appreciated that they were willing to go on paint, hardware, and lumber store runs because I have little time and never know what to ask for at the hardware store anyway. They just took the whole project and ran with it, much to our relief. I dreaded finding and dealing with the variety of tradespeople that I thought would be required to do all the necessary work. Rich and
Chicago Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
just handled it all beautifully, in an absolutely trustworthy and professional manner.
In short, whatever needed to be done around the house, Rich and
Chicago Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
could and did handle competently. They're full of good ideas and suggestions for home improvements. Highly skilled, highly ethical and just plain good folks to be around. I highly recommend them individually and as a team without reservation.

The installation went well and the provider was very professional. Cleaned up after the work was done. The cost of the work was very reasonable and the quality exceptional. I would definitely recommend

's company to my friends and family.

These guys were great, informed and fast. They came to fix plaster work that was left by a really shady electrician. They helped get our house back up to snuff. The deal was well worth it.
