"One of our town homes had a water leak. Once the leak was fixed, we then needed the drywall replaced in the ceiling and adjacent walls. , one of their best guys, did the work for us, and he was terrific, opening up the damaged areas, pointing out where the insulation needed to be replaced, tracking the flow of the water (water ...more leaks never seem to just come straight down) and actually finding damp sections we would never have discovered on our own. He was very thorough, explained everything, gave his recommendations, gave us options on how to proceed, and then did exactly what he was chartered with doing, and did an absolutely incredible job -- we have a "floating" ceiling, meaning the drywall is not just nailed or screwed to the studs -- it is floated about a half inch below the studs for additional sound-proofing, minimizing vibration transfer and eliminating unsightly nail pops -- but this is a very difficult type of ceiling to repair -- others have tried and completely botched the job.
