Chicago General Contractors Reviews
"When we bought the house the stairs leading to the basement were covered with dark brown outdoor carpeting, making it difficult to see the stairs. We removed the carpeting and found the stairs were covered with old, ugly linoleum. I sent a sample of the the old "
"We would provide design and material; his charge would be just for labor only. He asked to build at his shop, which we agreed to, so he would not have to transport tools, and could do at his convenience. The price quoted ($200) was high, for what would amount to about two hours work."
"Finished in one weekend. Worked until rain at first, and all day last 2 days. Overall, it was obvious that they were checking their work, following steps to put everything together correctly and the final product looked very good aesthetically. fair and a good value based on professionalism, fast schedule/work ethic, and quality result. Overall watching this project complete was a successful, very low stress, no conflict experience especially relative to other contractors I've hired so far. If available and priced competitively, I would want to contract with again for another project."
"After I purchased the Big Deal, I emailed owners in the complex to show how they had solved the same issue on their patios. The photos showed that the inserted fencing was attached to the iron rail, between the existing brick walls. He scheduled to come look at the job on March 30 between 9 and 9:30. He called about 9:30 to say that he couldn't do the work that day, but I reminded him he was supposed to come only to look at the job. So he came, at about 11, to look at the job, and we scheduled the work for April 26 at 9. "
"I found up on time, he was very pleasant, he removed and replaced the old toilet. I was very concerned with calling a contractor not knowing what to expect, "
"I exchanged emails a few times with to. Once he saw the access panels he discussed with me some various options for installing them. Tthe manufacturer suggested they simply snap into place, but we both thought that wasn't secure enough. He suggested some wooden backing material so the panels could be screwed into place. I agreed and the work proceeded without a hitch. It took a little longer than expected but not by much, and it was probably due to the care he was taking to cover or remove items that would get dirty (including moving some cabinets). I got charged for 4.5 hours of work, some materials, and parking. I give "
"100% satisfied! Our first job as listed cost exactly $4510 and was well worth it. But I consider townhome right from the day we closed on it then. These jobs ranged from replacing a hideous previous owner's kitchen backsplash to replacing two improperly previously built roofdecks to completely gutting and transforming a LL Full Bath into a spectacular spa-like bathroom. He's single-handedly transformed our dated townhome that we purchased in 2010 into a comfortable and livable (and re-sellable) HOME for me and my wife. I highly recommend him without reservation. We often give him the key to our home and trust his men to secure it and protect our property while they're working and we're not there. They're always on time right at the time they say they'll arrive. He's a general contractor and home builder who doesn't cut corners ever, and is very good at explaining what/why/how he'll do a job, as well as there's never any surprises when it comes to cost and price. I took the time to verify his Chicago General Contractor's Licensure #1898252 under Progress Painting & Remodeling, Inc., as well as requesting he email me (which he promptly did) his proof of business liability insurance ($2million aggregate coverage) through "
"Our request for an estimate was met with a prompt response. within two days with a detailed estimate and a proposed start date. Upon agreement, a date for beginning was set with an estimated completion date given. Both workmen arrived on the date agreed upon and reviewed the plan with us. They were very professional and respectful of our property and that of our neighbors. Each day, the work space was left in an orderly manner. They completed the work in the time frame predicted. Time was allowed for our inspection and questions. We were extremely pleased with the work done and would highly recommend "
