Mudjacking Reviews in Chicago

He failed to provide an adequate explanation of his intended services. He contacted him several time by phone and email asking him to include all of the services we discussed. He failed to respond at all. If you are a professional you want to insure you and the client are on the same page as to what services you will provide and they can expect. If you and the client cannot agree then you let the client know so you can both move on.
This company is totally unprofessional and should not be considered for any type of work in or around your household.

I called ABC
to get an estimate on work to the
, they arrived precisely at the time the appointment was
scheduled for. When he went in to measure the
he went over to the sump pump system and immediately said
the lid was not the correct one to have, he explained that the lid should be sealed and also explained that my washer was
connected to the sump pump. He said with the proper lid I should not smell any molded smells anymore. Which was one of the main reasons why I wanted this work done. Every time we washed the smell got a little stronger, even though no one in
my family seemed to smell it but me. After he took the measurements he said he will email me the estimate, I did let him know I had other companies coming out and I will let him know if I will use them or not. I got the estimate and it was
the same price as the others (give or take a hundred dollars here and there) but none of the others discussed the sump pump.
I even asked questions about the sump just to see if they will give the same information as ABC but they didn't and one guy
said ah do you have a sump pump in there, well as you can imagine the conversation ended there. I chose ABC, I called set we set the date for 9/5. The day before i received an email from
reminding me of the 8am appointment and that the team
leader would be
. They arrived on time, even gave me a call when they were close to my home.
went over the
everything with us one more and they got right to work. The staff was great and very polite, when they got ready to pour the concrete
suggested we take a look at the progress and after the concrete was poured and leveled and smoothed out
he told us to take a look at it and explained the drying process and advised us to put put plastic down before we stored
anything in there so we don't scratch it up. The job took about 5 hours and the outcome looks great. I will most definitely
use these guys again. I was given a quote on spay foam insulation on the walls of the
, I was not really
comfortable with foam but I think I will reconsider this and I will call this company.
I gave the pricing a C rating due to this was the same price as the other companies (give or take a hundred dollars), I guess
this is the standard rate for the size of my
400 sq ft.

Mudjacking reviews in Chicago

We bought a house a year and half ago, it was a total rehab job. We finally moved on to the basement about 3 months ago, needless to say after the sub-floor was removed we realized there was major water damage.

came out twice to a**** the damage, the first gentleman that came out said he wanted one of their structurally certified employees to come and evaluate the exterior concrete wall to make sure the house was sound.
Chicago Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out and spent a good amount of time on the inside and outside of the house. He said the house was sound, however the concrete was poured incorrectly, and they would need to patch some of the cracks before installing the drain tile on the inside of the basement. 2 weeks later, the crew was here and began working at 7am until 4:30pm. I've never seen a group of professionals work so hard, and so quickly to get the job done in one day. Our basement is completely dry now, and we can move on to our remodeling projects with a sound mind. My only gripe if I had to make one, which truthfully wasn't that big of an issue, was the crew had placed one of their large machines on our front lawn. Rather than placing it on the driveway, which was empty, I asked them to move it because we had just gotten new sod & I was afraid the grass would be damamged. They politely moved the equiptment and apologized. Overall the work and the crew are A+ in my book!

Chicago Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out to give me a quote. He told me at that time they were a little backed up and it would take him around a week to turn the quote back around. It's been two months and several phone calls and I have heard nothing. Also of note: they other 3 companies that came out to quote the work described the "traditional" method of digging out and shoring up. The description of how they would do they work seemed unusual and definitely scary.

was personable and communicative. He quickly took measurements and told me he needed to bring someone back to be able to get an accurate quote. I really liked the fact that he didn't ball park. He came back as promised. I had to call him once to remind him to send me the quote, but he did it that evening. The quote was $20k which may or may not be accurate. I requested bids from four companies. He was the only one who provided a written quote in a timely manner. One company quoted $50k over the phone and indicated they really didn't want to do the work. One company, American Foundation Repair, I'm still waiting to hear back from after 3 or 4 phone calls. we've decided it isn't worth money to dig out but have decided to do an addition instead. We will definitely give

I had recently taken a new job as the regional Vice President of an international bank. This was a promotion for me and I was very excited as well as nervous about the job. One of my first main projects was to oversee the renovation of one of the branches I managed. I did some research and asked some people I knew and
Chicago Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
came up a few times. I contacted them as well as a few other companies for bids.

was the most thorough. He and his team were very patient answering all of my questions and extremely professional and funny. I also just had a great feeling with him. He seemed to be very patient and kind. I decided to go with them because of the difficult nature of the project in that it was time sensitive and had to be done while the bank remained in operation.

and his team stepped up to the challenges they were given by working odd shifts and hours so that they not only could finish the job on time but ahead of schedule. Throughout the process we continued to have many questions and decisions that needed to be made and

and his project managers were very helpful along the way. I’m beyond happy with

and plan to use them for further renovations at our other branches and when I need some work done in the coming months personally.

I used
Chicago Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
several times over the years staring I think in 2007. He was always on time, always responsive and always did a great job. There were so many issues with my 100 year old basement and exterior walkways and he addressed all of them. Additionally he was able to make suggestions as to why my basement kept flooding which eventually helped me to fix the problem. He's an all around really nice guy. There is so much more to say about how many things broke and needed to be repaired (like I said 100 year old 2-flat). As far as start to finish he started with the exterior walk which was four steps down to an exterior basement door and four steps up. All the stairs were replaced as was the exterior floor drain. Then my house flooded several times due to heavy rains and after interviewing several "expert" basement companies who wanted to charge me an arm and a leg, I went back to
Chicago Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
who did the work for 1/2 the price, which included re-pouring a shower stall. We then discovered that there was an old grease trap that was also filled with dirt and collecting water so not only did he clean the icky dirt out, he then filled it with concrete. Then in the process of putting drain tile in the portion of the basement that was unfinished, we discovered a break in the sewer pipe (the one that runs out to the street). It was caved in and filled with dirt with evidence that rats had taken residence...gross. So he got a plumber friend and they just blocked off that pipe, since it wasn't serving any purpose anyway. In other words, he did it all and every time there was a new problem, he gave me a quote and explained the cost of each part of the repair, including parts and repair. I cannot say enough. I have no idea why Angie's list selected "Dance Instruction" as one of the categories and while I'm sure
Chicago Foundation Contractors Provider Name Locked
is an excellent dancer I did not use him for that service.

came out and gave us an estimate on pouring new front stairs and a basement retaining wall. The price was competitive and the work was done as promised. The crew was very detailed and cleaned up when the job was finished. I would absolutely recommend

to friends and neighbors.

It was a good price for what they did but they were not entirely upfront and honest about the time frame and what they were planning to do. There were definitely some kind of confusions and miscommunication around that. I also had a somewhat negative experience when I mentioned them redoing the door to the gate and we didn't agree on anything. About a month late I came home from work and the door to the gate was redone and then he started asking for money. It was a weird situation and I refused to pay him because I hadn't authorized the work. It was a mixed bag. It was decent work and for what I paid I think I got my money's worth.

Several concrete slabs and a private sidewalk had sunken and/or tilted to one side. Atlas did the job as they promised--came in on-budget--and arrived on time. Very meticulous work and everyone is amazed at the final result. Saved us thousands in that we did not have to remove the old concrete and have the sections re-poured.
