"The story is as I explained in the previous panel.  I remain totally amazed how people in the service industry feel justified in yelling at a customer who has a legitimate concern regarding a bill after paying $250."

"The response time was excellent - came out, diagnosed the problem, got the part and the repair was done all the same day.  It was critical because our

's wet laundry was in the dryer and, as you can imagine, we really needed the laundry working.  Great job - would not hesitate to use them again.  Wish I had used them for a different repair (fridge) which did not turn out as well."

"I called on 5/2/11 to get an estimate for my leaking dishwasher.

arrived a little after 9:00 to check out my dishwasher.  He found the problem in just a couple of minutes and fixed it quickly.  I was happy with the quality of service again and pleasantly surprised at the cost of the repair.

performed the service that day, along with a technician named

"The repairman was courteous, friendly, efficient, and knowledgable--and he showed up at the agreed-upon time. After thoroughly testing the microwave, he determined the problem was with the electonic touch pad.  Replacement for that cost more than a whole new microwave, so I decided to skip that repair. The repairman also did a thought test of the refrigerator and freezer and identified the problem as a faulty fan.  Given the age of my refrigerator, he didn't have a replacement fan in his truck, so he had to schedule a return visit to install a new fan.  He said he'd be able to return the next morning around 10 or so after picking up the part.  I arranged my schedule accordingly. At 9:30 a.m. the following day, the office called to report the repairman would be at my place before noon.  Since that's not what the repairman had told me and because I had a commitment at noon, I explained that I had been told differently.  The caller then got snarky with me, saying, "The repairman doesn't schedule the appointments.  I schedule them."  Ok, then!  I agreed to wait for the repairman as late as I could, but at 11:15 I had to reschedule for the following day. The good news is that I got a friendly call the following morning.  The repairman showed up a few minutes later --I was his first appointment--and replaced the faulty fan.  He was efficient and friendly as he had been previously.  The fridge is working fine!"

"I called on a Tuesday and the woman I spoke with was very professional & friendly. We set up an appt for the following day. The guys were friendly, professional & punctual. They repaired it for us within about 40 minutes and gave us some tips on how to prevent it in the future. We would happily use them again. $69 service & diagnostic fee $120 flat rate repair ($108 with 10% Angie's list coupon)"

"As stated before
Chicago Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
is very professional and explains everything in advance to appropriate level. He explained my refrigerator was not working due to a fan motor which needed to be replaced. After consulting with me he was able to replace the fan motor and defrost the necessary component to get refrigerator back to working properly. He also stated with my particular refrigerator it does ice up and if it starts happening again he could install an additional heater to keep the unit from icing up. I appreciated the fact that

was very direct with what was needed, didn't do any upcharging, and completed the work quickly and efficiently.

"The initial service call was fine, the repairman was nice , he came out determined it was the compressor and needed replacement, he determined it was under warranty and he told me he would order the parts and then I would get a call back in a day or so to schedule a appointment to replace the failed parts. They called back 3 days later and scheduled the repair for the coming friday between 8 and 10am. I took the day off from work to be home for the install, even scheduling a meeting I could not reschedule as a conference call so I could be home. at approx 8:38am the repairman calls from his cell phone, I did not catch the call but called him back a couple of minutes later, he did not answer, I waited 2 minutes called again left a voicemail that I was home waiting, no answer, I called approx 4 times but he would not answer the phone, at about 9:15 (based on my phone log) I called the central office to find out what happened and was told that the repairman called in said I was not at home and was now on another job and had to be rescheduled. I was a little bit shocked and told her the details and that no one had even come to the door only a call from a cell phone. The operator was uncomfortable and kept saying sorry I have to reschedule you. I asked to talked to a manager and was transferred to a Ms. Hannahan (I think) voicemail box (of course). I did not receive a call back so I called again and left a voicemail again about 4 hours later. Finally at about 2pm I get a call from a Manager

(I might have gotten it wrong) he said he had a message to return my call, I asked if he knew the particulars about what had happened or listened to my voicemails he said no that he was just given a message to return my call. I proceeded to tell him that I had stayed at home to wait for the repairman and that he called from his cell phone but literally would not answer his phone, that no one had come to the door, at this point his story changes a little bit, the manager tells me I know these two guys they said they were there and that you were not home, we have no idea where you were but we cannot sit and wait for you. I told him that I have my phone records that show I called him repeatedly and even left him a voicemail, he responds that the serviceman told him he received no calls and no voicemail and since he trusts his repairman he does not believe me. WOW so now I'm a liar. At this point I told him I would file a complaint that they were being disingenuous and I did not want to argue. They obvious get referred by the factory so they don't have to care about customer service and can treat you like they want. Be aware that you can ask the manufacturer for an alternate provider so you can avoid these guys.

"My year-old dishwasher wasn't cleaning the top rack of dishes. I called Appliance King for service, and
Chicago Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
and behold I got the SAME REPAIRMAN as I had from the days when he repaired my prior, old dishwasher. I love this guy -- he did his very best to keep my old washer alive, including giving me tips on ways to keep it going despite its decrepitude. This time, with my new washer, he identified the problem, fixed it all up, and told me all the things we should be doing to keep from having to call him in a year to repeat the work. It all involved rinsing better and keeping the door ajar when not in use, etc, only some of which I know will happen. But it wasn't like being lectured by the dental hygienist -- when I told him it was unlikely that I would be doing all those things and he would probably need to come back and repeat everything in a year, he took it well, laughed, and said that was my choice. I really like that he tries to make my repairs less frequent, but isn't judgmental when I don't take his advice -- such a rare quality. And most importantly, my dishwasher is working like new again!"

"Overall

did an excellent job. He replaced the broken in-sink disposal with one I purchased online and tested the new unit thoroughly. He cleaned up after himself and took all packaging from the new unit and the broken old unit with him."
