Came home from work and found our freezer had stopped working and our kitchen floor was covered in water. I called
Services (after hours - around 7:30pm) and asked them to come by. Initially they said they couldn't come until the following day. I pushed back and they agreed to come check out our issue within the hour. They showed up right on time, they diagnosed the problem, but didn't have the proper parts (not a common repair issue). They returned the next day (at a time that was convenient for us) and fixed the issue within 30 minutes.
They were prompt, courteous, clean and professional. If I needed another appliance repaired, I wouldn't hesitate in contacting these folks again.

came to check out the problem. He tested to see if a $200+ valve needed to be replaced and after determining that it didn't, told me our thermostats in our refrigerator were set a little too high. He recommended raising them, which he did, to see if that would solve the problem. He determined the reservoir might be frozen. If that didn't work after a few days, he suggested that we turn off the refrigerator for 24 hours and then turn it back on.
The $69 is the standard fee they charge to come out and assess the problem. He told me if the issue didn't resolve itself, he would come back and the $69 would be deducted from any repair costs.
I appreciated his honesty. Lucky for us, two days later the water dispenser started working, again. Thanks,
!

The service went really well. I was very satisfied with the work they performed on my dryer and I appreciate that they offer a 90-day warranty. They were very professional and promptly responded to my initial phone. I would hire them again.

I left a message with their 24-hour answering service and received a timely return call. When I explained the issue, was told it sounded like a bearing had gone bad. Upon more discussion, got to the details that my washing machine is front-loading and separate from the dryer, but they are stacked inside a small closet. Turns out their team is too small to handle such a job since it would require multiple technicians to handle the heavy lifting/moving, etc. Since the machine isn't old but I couldn't remember exactly its age, he suggested I contact

where it had been purchased, since it may be still under warranty.
I now know that the machine is 1.5 years and not under warranty, so will have to contact another service provider.
If I had a repair that they could handle, I would consider contacting them again for service.

They had technicians available before 2 other companies did and were comparable in price. Standout was their customer service when scheduling and their willingness to hear why I was so concerned and considered the repair urgent. Another company just kept repeating the same sentences to me over and over as if they were reading from a manual. It was a relief to speak to a human being at Premium. The repairmen who came out were amiable, professional, and fixed the problem.

were the guys who came out to work on the place, and they had me laughing (no small task when I was feeling pretty stretched) but they also took the work seriously. I was very happy with them and very grateful. When the next thing in our place goes haywire, I will be sure to call them.

The technician showed at the tail end of the 9-11 window for the appointment. But, once there he did a thorough job with repairing the unit. In fact, he double checked if the problem was a heating element or the venting. Turns out it was the venting so very honest work that didn't result in an over-charge.

The repairman explained how the defrost works and provided some tips on finding a replacement for a missing support bar on the door.
He also told us how you can tell the approximate age of an appliance from it's color. Apparently they don't make brown or yellow anymore. Today's color is chrome. But white and black are always around.
It's was pleasure to find a true professional who knows his field, and is honest and reasonable. Too many people are greedy and simply crooks these days.

I reached out to
Chicago Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
via email. It took him a few days to respond, but he had been tied up with a family emergency and apologized for the delay (as well as offered a discount on our next service if we had already sought someone else out for the repair). We set up a time for him to come take a look at our fridge, which though fairly new (4 years old), had been leaking water in the freezer drawer and out onto our floors. Of our own error, we were not home for our originally scheduled appointment time, but

kindly rescheduled afterward.

gave us an hour window that he would arrive within, and he called to let us know when he was about 5 minutes away. We showed him the problem and he immediately diagnosed it as a clogged drain line, saying it was a very common problem and one that we couldn't have avoided as it just happens over time. He cleared the clog and cleaned the line with bleach in about 45 minutes.

was very personable and polite, and his service is guaranteed for a year. I would definitely call him again if we have other needed repairs.

It was so quick I spaced the gentleman's name, but he gave me a potential solution to the issue over the phone, without even insinuating that a service call or fee would be required.
It's the little things that count. We will certainly be calling

for any future appliance repair needs.

First off, I had a very good experience with the technician. He was punctual, helpful and came early for the appointment. There's a few reasons why I didn't give this company an 'A' rating however:
- They use a convoluted answering service to handle service calls. Unfortunately, the operators have no idea what the company's policies are so you have to provide a phone number and wait for someone to call back. Once you do receive a call back, you explain the issue to someone who works with the company, and then wait for another call to confirm an appointment time. Not exactly what I'd call efficient, especially if you can't wait by the phone.
- If they don't end up performing any repairs, you don't receive the advertised 10% discount. While I realize most people end up having repairs done, it's a little misleading that it doesn't apply to the standard service call fee. I looked for mention of it on their website and couldn't find it.
- The tech who came to help me needed my assistance moving the fridge in and out of the space. I was happy to do it, but I wonder what would happen if someone made a service call and wasn't physically able to assist?
Granted, none of these are exactly deal breakers, but based on the reviews I read I was expecting a seamless experience from start to finish. Bottom line, I will probably do a little more shopping around on Angie's List next time I need an appliance repair.
