He confirmed that the dates were open and he told me that he would have a quote within 24 hours -- 24 hours came and went and I called and left a VM. The next day a quote did show up in my E mail--but only 1 of the two options were completed .There was a note stating the second quote, with my providing the storage, would be forth coming .2 days later after not hearing from him I called and left a VM . To this date they have never provided the second quote nor did they EVER call back to inquire as to the status of what they did provide . It was like they could care less
That wsa enough to tell me that the sales hype was just that, hype, and if this group cant keep a
A move is a big deal and you expect a response one way or the other --Stay clear of this group -By the way this was a local move -less than 3 miles --
previous move one or two items were damaged, however, each time the damage was professionally resolved in a timely manner. I have spent hours of valuable time patiently trying to coordinate repairs and to date virtually nothing has been accomplished successfully.
Two red flags were noted while the crew was loading. First, it was explained that the truck was going to be unloaded when it arrived at the warehouse and then reloaded into crates for storage. This again happened on move in day when the truck didn’t arrive until after 12PM due to the fact that “the appropriate truck was not available”. Once again, all of my items were unloaded from crates, loaded onto two trucks and then unloaded again. Perhaps this is the

It was clearly evident that our items had been mishandled at some point during the move. Additionally both furniture assessors said all damage was caused by improper moving techniques. A $400 faux floral arrangement packed by

It has been 30 days since our move and the only thing repaired successfully and professionally is the treadmill. In my opinion 30 days is plenty of time to assess the damage and repair the furniture, which I am told will take 3-4 hours to do. I am living out of a suitcase as our dresser is on its side in the middle of our garage along with a broken desk and bookcase. I have spent hours waiting for people to show up and walking them through the damage. Again, as a customer who has previous experience with moving damage, this is not acceptable.
Yesterday I again requested a claim form (as instructed by the repair man for the unrepairable items) and expressed my dissatisfaction with the timeliness and professionalism of the repair process. Per
To be fair, this is what
1. Sent out a man to assess the damage. Spent several hours waiting for him and reviewing the damage. The following week I received a call from another man to do another complete assessment. Apparently the first gentleman is too busy to do the job. Again, spent several hours waiting for
2. Sent a painter to repair wall damage throughout the home. Painter used exterior paint and caused a huge mess on 5 walls and
stairwell. I personally went and purchased the proper paint and had him come to redo the job. The repair was sloppy and lines from the exterior paint were still visible. Painters doing other work in the home were shocked by the mess and repainted the walls in their entirety as should have been done initially. Hours of my time wasted on this unprofessional "repair".
3. A carpet man was sent to assess the carpet damage and stated there was nothing that could be done.
I supplied additional information about the carpets on 11/13. There has been no follow up and apparently I am not allowed to file a claim for the unrepairable item.
4. The treadmill repair was successful and professionally completed.
generously fit the move from our temporary apartment to new home on two days notice. Should have used them in the first place!
The move to their storage facility was uneventful, and after the four-week storage period, our belongings were delivered to our new home. As the moving crew was bringing our things/boxes into the house, we were appalled at the condition of the boxes. They were dented, some to such a severe extent that we were sure we'd find all of the contents destroyed. In the end, approximately 20 items were broken. They also broke nearly all of our torchiere lamps and damaged our nearly-new leather sectional (it suffered several long abrasions, taking the leather finish completely off) and a desk.
They encouraged us to take photographs of all of the damaged/broken items, which we did, and submit a claim. At the time we made the commitment to use
With regard to the desk, it was repaired to our satisfaction. With regard to the sofa, a repair was made but, one week later, the remedy wore off and it remains damaged to date. With regard to the broken items,
My husband and I used bubble wrap and wrapping paper to pack our precious belongings. We have spent 20 years of marriage accumulating these things and they mean the world to us. Furthermore, we have moved half a dozen times before and have never had an item ever broken... until now.
