argued with most of my requests. He would give me his contradictory advice & then add "but I'll do it if you want me to". Some of his advice was valuable --a) some of our ...more established plants are drought resistant and don't need extra irrigation and b) the gardens that were receiving lawn sprinkler overspray don't need additional irrigation. I was disappointed that
did not make any attempt to bury the new drip lines in existing mulch (1-1.5" thick) saying the there wasn't enough mulch and I would need to cover them with new mulch (expensive & time consuming for me). I was also disappointed that
installed drip lines that have perforations every few inches instead of the emitters that we have elsewhere in our yard. The emitter approach is more water conservative. And yet,
didn't ask me which approach I wanted to use and didn't mention his choice and rationale. I only noticed the change in drip lines after he left. And lastly, I paid too much for what we received.
charges by the hour -- included the time that he took to argue with me & his repetition of estimates and the work that would be involved. The price paid seems steep for what we received. And yet, his quoted price for winterization and spring start up are highly competitive. "

"I purchased the Angie's list deal for a sprinkler tune up. It took several tries before we connected to set an appointment but I was hopeful they were just busy. The younger bother came out for the appointment. He was nice but he was not very knowledgable ...more about the equipment and completely unaware of what the Angie's list deal was supposed to cover. He made some minor repairs and said they were not covered by the deal so I would have to pay extra but that he would come back with the appropriate tools and finish some additional work that was covered by the deal. The work he completed cost $275 plus the deal I had paid for previously. He said he would be back the following Friday. I scheduled to stay home from work that day. He never showed up. I called the owner / older brother and he apologized and asked to reschedule. They both seem very nice and I had already paid for the work so I agreed to have them Come back out that Friday. I stayed home from work again. They never showed up again. The next day the father called and left me a message that the son's truck had broken down and that's why they didn't come. I can understand breakdowns happen but why didn't anyone call the day of the appointment? At this point I felt I was getting the run around. I had rearranged my schedule on two separate days and they didn't show up I was not encouraged that the third time would be better. They basically cheated me out of the money I paid for the deal and never made an effort to follow up or complete the work I paid for. Very disappointed. "

"Our irrigation system (installed a decade before we bought the house) sprung a leak, and we had standing water around and in the irrigation access panel. Early summer is a busy time for sprinkler repair companies, but
got back to us within a day or two to schedule a visit.
sent someone to do the initial ...more dig and determine if a repair could be made on the spot. Unfortunately, the irrigation piping was, in the words of
himself, "the worst he had ever seen". We only have 3 irrigation zones, but pipes
-crossed each other multiple times with fifteen 90-degree turns. It was not even possible to directly access one of the leaky valves because it was under one of the pipes. We were lucky the leak had not grown larger, because the backflow preventer valve had rusted shut, leaving us with no way to stop the leak without shutting off the water main.
arrived two days after the initial visit to do the repair work himself. We now have confidence that the problem is resolved. The new piping arrangement only required four (4) 90-degree turns, and we have easy access to the system for shutoff if there ever is a problem in the future. It's possible that the old sprinkler piping will be put on display somewhere so future generations will know the difference between quality and shoddy installations. "
"We have worked with them for years now. I have found
to be reliable and especially honest. He pokes around and makes sure it all works. When he finds something that does not look right or may in the future cause a problem he lets us know. Often comes up with an out of the box creative solution to difficult problems.
and his crew arrived on time and knocked it out by sundown. All of his crew were very friendly, professional and all spoke English. They hung around after install to make sure I was able to understand how to set up and program the system.
Irrigation is probably the most enjoyable ...more experience I've had with a contractor in all my experiences. "
"our existing sprinkler system ,which was installed by another company, had a leak due to lawnmower damage.
technician sectioned off the leak and installed a clamp and re-buried the pipe. It was quick and easy. He did not charge me for the clamp, only the service call minus the Angie's List discount. Will use again for winterizing ...more my system or other repairs. "
"I called the owner in the morning and he had a time slot in the evening. The Master Valve needed to be replaced and the sprinkler heads to be inspected, due to the ice cold winter season.
took his time to explain in detail how the system works, he stayed late in the evening to repair the most important parts.
He was courteous ...more and experienced. I was very satisfied with his work and would recommend him at any time. "
