Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Reviews

"They came out fairly quickly, but couldn't do the work required at that time. They came out the next day and placed a new backflow valve, and a new shut off valve, and did "winterization service".
The gentleman was at our house for perhaps a total of 90 minutes at most. I thought $680 was a little pricey for that, considering what I've since seen [my husband found them via Google
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
, and I'm not happy with him as I always check Angie's list first]. Our itemized receipt was a joke. Especially considering now that I've researched how much these valves actually cost. Definitely get another estimate before going with this company.

"Excellent service. The main valve in my irrigation system split in the cold weather. I called
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
and he came out promptly even though they were very busy and located some distance from my house. The guys were courteous, efficient and professional. The standard of workmanship was exceptional and it's clear
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
and his team take a real pride in their work. They were very helpful providing me additional advice and help to check the system and water supply. They also winterized the system to make sure I wouldn't have any further problems. Finally,
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
gave me some helpful advice about drainage problems I have and a reasonable quotation for the work. I will definitely be using them to have this work done once the weather improves. If you have any irrigation problems I would highly recommend you call

"This was a huge project for us and one that we had been waiting years to do. If you are not inclined to read the rest of this review, it can be summarized this way: You cannot choose anyone better than Bill and the team at
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
, we had a great experience and the results exceeded our expectations. He isn't going to be your lowest bidder - but he'll be the best.
Now for the details... I interviewed multiple Angie's List top rated companies for about 1.5 years before finally choosing Bill. Given this was going to be a very large, time-consuming project I wanted to make sure I chose someone that I felt had the experience, interest and creativity needed to make our backyard special. Having worked with Bill over 2 months of this project, he and his team met all the qualities I was looking for. Bill and his team can basically do everything and they have the certifications/licenses to back that up. What differentiated Bill from most landscape professionals I interviewed was that he was working with his crew, onsite everyday. He isn't going to show up to your house in a pristine embroidered
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
shirt - he is a professional that has his hands on everything. Bill is an engineer that also has an artistic side. We needed that for our project as we aren't the most creative/imaginative people, and trusted Bill to help us transform the backyard. Bill's personality synced well with our family - the family enjoyed he and his crew being around.
On to the project... This was a big job as I mentioned earlier. Bill and team had to excavate out an old, very large brick patio, remove old timber retaining walls and grade everything to provide appropriate drainage around the back of our house. He installed a massive, concrete patio that has river stone embedded and sanded down flat. That is topped off with a slate border. It looks amazing and I haven't seen anyone else do this in town. Bill installed a pond with a small stream and waterfall. Admittedly I think this is one of the smallest ponds Bill has ever installed, but it looks amazing in our backyard. The water feature was something we were unsure of initially - but now that we have it and have lived with it, I wouldn't change a thing. Bill added (5) fairly large Koi as well, and we can change the flow rate of the waterfall with a wireless remote. If you have the room in your backyard, you really should consider doing this.
With 4 younger children at home, we also wanted to do something for them. Bill and team installed a ~30x30' basketball pad and stained it a light brownish color. I love the look because it doesn't have that bright new concrete harshness and fits into the backyard. Bill had this great idea to install a water spray ground into the basketball pad as well. Another great idea - we can simply flip a switch now and jets of water shoot up out of the pad. The kids loved this in the late summer - and I don't have to worry about any pooling of water as we installed a french drain to collect the run-off. My only regret was that we used a separate installer for the basketball goal (a ProDunks goal we ordered online). In the end, Bill and team could have handled this. Bill also added an outdoor electrical plug near the pad so that we can plug in lights, radios, cell phone chargers, etc. And finally, Bill helped construct an outdoor drinking fountain so that kids don't have to keep running into the house to get a drink. His solution was surprisingly cheap and works great.
Our 3/4 acre backyard also received full irrigation. Bill educated us on choosing a Smart controller that intelligently controls the amount of watering (and timing) needed for your yard. The goal being that you reduce water consumption but ensure your plants/lawn are irrigated optimally. We also had the City of
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
install a separate irrigation meter (this took 4 months so plan early) that we are now hooked up to. The good news is that with the Smart Controller and the irrigation meter, the City of
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
will cap your water rates at a Tier 3. I believe this will pay off after 1 year of use.
We also had the backyard landscaped with probably 100 or so plantings. Multiple beds created with mulch (I am not a fan of pine straw). Trees, bushes, perennials - many of which were used to provide near instantaneous privacy from our neighbors. Everything looks great and Bill has been back many times to make sure things are growing well. I also like the look of large boulders - so Bill installed 4-5 massive boulders around the patio that are nice to lean against, jump off of, etc.
We had some funds remaining to add some landscape lighting to the backyard. We chose to use advanced
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
lighting that should last us 10-30 years. The trees in the backyard look amazing as night - as well as the pond that is lit up. We plan to do more lighting once we have more funds to spend. The lighting really makes things look nice in the evening.
We made a last minute decision to add a fire pit (in ground) with loose river rock around it. It looks great and fits in nicely to our new backyard.
In summary, this entire experience exceeded our expectations. It was a ton of money for us, but has been well worth it. I will continue to use Bill /
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
for future projects in the front yard. If you are looking at a smaller project... or even bigger project, you need to interview Bill and let him show you some of his projects. One last piece of advice, Bill is busy (which is a good thing) - we did have to wait a couple months to start our project, so start planning early!

"I called three different companies in order to obtain estimates during the peak landscape season.
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
(owner) was the only one to return my phone call within 24 hours, and yet he returned in within an hour. One company called back 36 hours later and left a message that they would charge a fee of $300 for the visit and I am still waiting on the third. ( The third company also installs pools and I left word that we might be interested in speaking with them about a pool next spring and yet still didn't call. Must not need business).

Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
came out very quickly gave us the estimate and despite our calling at the busiest time of the year, he gave us an installation date very quickly.

We had also asked him about a standing water problem in the side yard and contracted him to install a French drain and drains out to the road.

Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
and his time showed up on time when promised and worked hard. Loved that all work was performed by himself and his team and he was on site the entire time to supervise. They had to really tear up the yard in order to accommodate the new drainage system and because of all the junk left in the ground from our home builder but when they left it looked clean and put back together.

I appreciate
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
because they treated us as if our business and satisfaction mattered to them.
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
was very conscientious about checking in with us several times during the installation and keeping us updated on progress.

Cannot write enough good things, feel that they were an excellent choice for us. If I ever move in
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
again, I would not hesitate to use
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
.

"Was prompt and very thorough checking more of the irrigation system than we originally asked and clearly explained every repair that was done. We are very pleased and would definitely use this provider again.

"In the beginning of the job, we were working with
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
and were very happy with all aspects of the job which was approx. 80% complete. Then
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
left the firm without informing us. His firm did not call to tell us that he had resigned, that he wouldn't be keeping his appointments with us (I was stood up for two days) and the name of his replacement. It was only because I called the company that I learned about
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
's departure.
After
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
left, subsequent work has been substandard. When we call about problems, the responding supervisor seems to minimize the problems or recommend that we take steps to address it (spray pesticides, adjust nozzles, apply systemic fungicides & pesticides) rather than
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
doing what's necessary to fix the problems). We have had problems with a)irrigation coverage -- either excessive or inadequate in spots, b) drainage --drains get clogged with mulch , c) plant failure -- a few plants that
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
installed are either not thriving or dying, and d) incorrect placement of drip nozzles resulting in death of our own shrubs. Even though I have asked
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
to replace the failing plants that they installed, as per their 1 year warranty, I've been told that it is unlikely that they will do so.

"I call and requested service ASAP due to ongoing construction .
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
had a tech at my home less then 24 hrs later. This was the first time I ever used this company ! Great service , I will use this company again.

"Outstanding service, communication and professionalism. Worked directly with the owner and was very pleased with the work and the result. He was communicative, fair, and knowledgable. Grass is growing in my front yard for first time in 2 years! Overall a great experience and I plan to use them extensively in the future. A+++

". Metrogreenscape was charging the previous owners $523 a month and was not overseeing the property to notice problems with over watering, grubs, shrub infestation, aphids in the trees, brown patch in the lawn and who knows what else. When I confronted them about gloomy pest infestation in the Maple trees, they pointed to the tree service that was also charging $1340 to maintain the trees. Metro sent someone to spray and I still have aphids and a stained deck from their chemicals.
The irrigation system is less than 5 years old (not their install) and needs to be modified due to areas not being watered. The mail box get a daily soaking...no extra charge for that..
Upon close of escrow, I met with
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
to have him continue service on the home but only the basic service. I pointed out certain problems and he agreed that things were not up to his expectations. He had recently taken on my house but would take care of these items.
He wanted me to sign a contract and I told him that he would need to earn my business. I am not used to contracts for yard service coming from the west coast. He agreed to keep it monthly and I authorized aeration and seeding. 2 weeks went by and no show on his crew. I placed a call to
Charlotte Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
and he said, "I was just going to call to tell you that your on the schedule for tomorrow." I told him that there is no need to come and that I would be writing about my experience on Angie's List. He apologized and we ended the conversation.
I have been a Plumbing Contractor for almost 40 years in the service and repair sector and I know what it takes to keep your customer's happy........this was far from it.
