*This is a review of the
area TWC customer support and multiple technicians, not a specific location.*
This was probably the worst experience I've had with a provider. First, the advertisements for really cheap internet don't seem accurate. When you call to actually set up service, their simplest internet package is 45/month, not 15/month. It all started January 6th with setting up an appointment for installation, and didn't end until February 1st, when we finally got service. It was an entire month of technicians coming to our place and giving mixed feedback on the functionality of our cable box. First, they said it was broken, but a work order wasn't put in. Then, the next person who came out was supposed to fix it, but said he couldn't; it would need to be replaced. Another department was supposed to handle the replacement. We scheduled numerous appointments for this, but each time, no one showed up. We made endless calls to customer service; no one called back when they promised to, even supervisors. There were issues with work orders being filed correctly, and with communication between departments. These are just the main points. FINALLY, one day a TWC truck was sitting in our parking lot, having finished with an installation in a nearby apartment. We asked the technician if he was here to help us, which he wasn't. However, he called in to find out about our work order because he had some free time until his next appointment. He checked out our cable box, which apparently was not even broken the whole time. One wire was clipped, the one to our living room. All anyone had to do was try the other cable and a different outlet, our bedroom. This technician got everything set up for us, even though he didn't have to. In the end, TWC refunded our installation fee and gave us one month free. However, this was nearly a month of at least 20 interactions (and scheduled, but not carried out interactions) that all failed in some way. The frustration of the entire month of miscommunication, irresponsibility, and lack of professionalism on TWC's behalf would cause me to never recommend them in the

Appointments were scheduled separately and a sub contractor came to install the cable hook-up. He was a new sub contractor and didn't know what I ordered or how to configure the system. (Now I've learned to ask for no sub contractors). Once cable was set-up the security people came the following week and indicated that it should have been one appointment. They installed the new security system and were great. The problem started with billing and it took 4 months to get the billing worked out. In general TWC is too expensive. I moved from another state and my cable and internet were 1/3 of the cost in a higher cost of living area. If I had another option at a lower cost I would use another provider so hoping someone new will come into the neighborhood.

I pay $226.54 a month for cable, land line and internet. I have been a customer for 6 years and have spent $2,718 per year for a total of $16, 311 for my home services. I called customer service to request a competitive rate with the bundles that are being offered to new customers, thinking that it would be in TWC best interest to retain me as a continued account. To my disappointment the response was that nothing could be done to provide me with a better bundle rate.
I am from the business sector and I consult on issues involved with consultative sale and relationship marketing. It is a given that when you combine repeat business with new business profits increase annually. From the conversation I have had with social and business contacts the customer satisfaction is very low for all services and contract types provided by TWC.
I predict that TWC will soon be the way of the American auto industry and go from a major player in the

place to an also ran when technology forces them to be competitive. Customer service will be the major resulting factor.
My recommendation would be due your research and find a company that is looking to the future and not blindly at present profits and will be a leader in the long term for the same services that TWC provides. Otherwise, you will eventually be changing service like I and many other accounts are presently doing.

He set up a timed scanned to periodically scan and check for viruses etc. I was very impressed with his knowledge and his ability to take care of everything remotely and in a timely manner and will definitely use him again in the future for all my computer needs. was considerably more expensive (even though my apartment building was subsidizing it), and much worse than any cable company I've had in the past.
I was most dissatisfied with cable service, though internet service was bad as well. I paid an arm and a leg for HD-tier channels each month, and at any give moment many HD channels didn't work. I could be in the middle of watching a show, and it would suddenly go to blue screen with the message "USA HD is currently unavailable- please try again later." This happened daily, and interfered with DVR recordings, essentially negating any HD benefit. When I reported this to

, they wanted me to pay to have a technician come out; from my perspective, I was already paying for the HD service, and if it didn't work, fixing it should be on their dime. -area programming is beamed via satellite dish so anytime there was a severe storm, TWC would occasionally stop broadcasting EVERYTHING. Internet was quite slow, and it was cost-prohibitive to upgrade to a faster service.
I unfortunately had to put up with TWC for 2 years because the apartment building frowned on satellite dishes (and I've never really done satellite anyway). When I moved to a house, I switched to ATT U-verse and couldn't be happier. For less than I paid each month for SUBSIDIZED cable/internet/phone, I've got a larger DVR with whole-house service, 3 individual HD receivers, full movie tier, upgraded internet speed, and numerous other

He asked if there was anything he could do to keep my business, and I replied, "No, I've been dissatisfied for a long time." He abruptly hung up on me and gave me no instructions regarding returning the equipment. I was kind of lazy about getting this back to them, but I wasn't expecting the $300+ bill I received a week later.
I could go on and on and share even more anecdotes about the crappy service I received as a TWC customer. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET ATT OR DISH SERVICE!!

The Internet service connection through Roadrunner is fast. Service is usually reliable, although there are some occasional outages. Recently, I had a problem receiving email through Roadrunner - the same messages kept repeatedly dumping into my email box. I called customer service. After about a 10 to 15 minute wait, the reperesentative did some troubleshooting on my firewall software and spam

. She had me change one of the settings and that fixed the problem. I am generally satisfied with the quality or the Roadrunner Internet service, but I feel that the price is too high.

Without question the worst company I have ever paid money to. I don't have the appropriate vocabulary to explain just how horrible this company is. Let's start with this: They still owe me $30 balance two months after I moved. They were two days late to install. I had to return the equipment myself when no one came to pick it up as requested. The internet failed at least 5 times a day, and that's when we were using it. When they finally came to diagnose the issue, THEY WERE PIGGY-BACKING THE SIGNAL BETWEEN 8 APARTMENTS! We had to call to get the cable feed reset at least once a week, requiring 10 minutes of hold time and another 15 minutes to reboot. Their phone worked, and customer service was nice when I spoke to them at least twice a week.

They will make appointments and not keep them. They will not call you back. Even when they do send people out, they don't fix the problem. I would not hire them again if I had another option.

The service has always been reliable, there is the occasional hiccup that goes along with any cable provider but is usually not the fault of

(weather related, etc.) However, when a problem did arise I find their customer service to be very poor. On numerous occasions I have issues regarding my bill, and every time I go through a huge ordeal to correct it. Initially they triple charged me, most recently they credited an old account with my payment, thus my current account was past due. That situation took many phone calls to correct. I requested a manager and he was supposed to call me but never did. The problem magically corrected itself after much frustration. Problems like this are enough to make me wish there were other options in

. The service is great as long as you don't have to call customer service!

Installation took a couple of attempts. Each outage takes a couple of attempts. The last time we had a problem in our neighborhood somebody had to rally the entire block to call before their ''maintenance'' people came out.
