Over the course of three days they pulled up attic flooring, blew in insulation and relaid the floor, followed by additional insulation blown aroudn the attic perimeters; insulated the area aroudn the openign of attic pull down stairs; insutlated a laundry room wall; installed an air return in a closet; replaced weather stripping. There were some minor things which I believe come with any job of this type, but

He even made the suggestion that I had enough space over my garage to install pull down stairs there, and installed them for me after we agreed on what I thought was a more than fair price. "At first, all was well. PWP Contractors fixed a structural problem with a hairline crack in a wall, installed a new shower for me, and ran a gas line for a future gas

. These projects went fine. The next two went horribly. PWP told me that the humidity had created what looked like rain in my crawlspace. I asked how we would handle that.

He didn't say it might take care of it, he said the fans would take care of it. After spending $800 on these fans, I still have standing water down there. I asked repeatedly for the model number of the fans he used and I could never get them from him. The fans ran continuously, even when it wasn't very humid and they sucked electricity. I called

about this and, after a couple of weeks he had his brother call me to say that someone would be out to look at the fans. That was long ago and no one ever came out. I also had PWP Contractors install a second zone for my upstairs bedroom and bath. I have had nothing but trouble with that. The thermostat was not reading the room temperature correctly because PWP had installed it on an outside wall. When I called about this,

's response was, well it had been really hot. Yes, and consequently, the thermostat was reading the really hot wall and my air conditioner never kicked off, hence another lovely electrical bill.

Subsequently, I have had two separate HVAC contractors in for estimates and both told me that the existing ductwork, which PWP Contractors insisted upon using for the second zone, was not adequate to handle two zones. I had to spend some more money to have the problem rectified. My complaints to

were met with rude emails, saying he was right and everyone else was wrong. He never addressed my issues about not being called back or people not showing up to do what he said they would. He kept telling me that if I had called, he would have taken care of my problems, ignoring the fact that I had called. He, apparently, thinks he can do no wrong. The whole experience was very frustrating."

in our attic. First, they installed the E-shield on the rafters and not the attic floor as clearly stated in our contract. While they were installing it on the rafters, they broke through our attic floor not once, but TWICE in the same day. The first hole was foot-sized. The second hole was 3 ft X 3 ft. into my daughter's bedroom. Thankfully, no one was hurt. The first crew tried to repair the holes in the ceiling and they clearly did not know how to repair it well. A second crew came out to repair the dry wall. They were not punctual. Then they had to bring out a third crew to repaint the ceilings. The next crew came back to install e-shield on the floor but only installed it in 2/3 of the attice. They left a lot of debris, including white paint on our front entrance steps. We had to do a lot of cleaning and we repainted my daughter's bedroom as they did not return it to its original condition. Another crew finally came out and completed the E-shield where it was supposed to be installed in the first place. All the time, the office staff was very responsive. They just didn't have good communication with their crews and they did not employ highly skilled workers."

In fact, there is anough clean space up there now with all the old blown insulation out and old units consolidated to turn it into a study/office. My only suggestion for anybody in an older house that will have workers in the attics is to make sure that they use planks to walk across the I beams. The nails may punch through the ceiling if too much weight put through a single wood ceiling beam, the plank distributes the weight. That happened with us, so
