"I have had my security system/ monitoring with for 10 years. All was well until recently. turned into Broadview Security (merger?) and the customer service was lost. First I tried to schedule a maintenance visit (10 yr old system with battery issues) but they said no, they could diagnose over the phone. Then a couple of hours after a power outage, my system starting wailing (from the security pads) and there was very loud beeping from the alarm speaker. The key pad wouldn't let me do anything. so i called Broadview and had to wait on hold for a few minutes (would this happen if i was being attacked by a robber?). Then when i finally got assistance the service rep told me that they couldn't send anyone out. If i wanted an emergency visit it would cost me $155 and she didn't know when they could get there. Now the system has been screaming this whole time. So then she tried to help me disconnect the control panel. It was screwed so tight it wouldn't open and the screw head was worn out. Eventually i just hung up with customer service and took a hammer to the control pad to open it. Finally silence (and for free!) Of course by this point i had decided i was switching security companies. Now /Broadview is merging with ...i expect service will not improve as this company goes throgh another merger"

" answered my call and was very friendly and professional. The work was scheduled for the next day. called in the morning to let me know approximately what time the service technician would be here. , the technician, also called me when he as about 15 minutes away. He was professional, courteous, and efficient. He diagnosed the problem quickly, told me what needed to be done to fix it, and then did so. He was in and out in about 45 minutes. I was surprised at how quickly and cheaply they fixed the problem. I am delighted with the service I received from and !"

" installed a new security system to replace an existing one, re-using some of the existing hardware such as the motion detector to reduce costs. The $622 included not just the new alarm system but also 3 months of monitoring. Installed in the home were 2 new keypads, a new indoor siren, glass breakage, 2 fire alarms, and cellular backup for $490 (using the Angie's list coupon for 1 free fire alarm). No labor charge for my new system. Monitoring costs $44 per month for basic + cellular, which is comparable with other alarm companies when including the cellular backup monitoring. And what makes it so great is that the contract period is only 1 year with a UL certified central monitoring station. Broadview, ADT and others are all 3 year contracts.
The gentleman that came out was right on time for my quote and when I asked when he could install, he was prepared to do so right at that moment, which was great. He spent approximately 6 hours in the house from start to finish. Excellent work, and work ethic, with a price that beat what I had estimated I was going to spend. He was knowledgeable and helpful.
I intend to have come back for more work to take advantage of some of the other services they offer (networking, A/V). I was very pleased and highly recommend using this company. "

"We were very pleased with them. We had a break in that sent us right to them. We had never had an alarm system before. They were responsive any time I called. The installation was done well and they cleaned up after themselves. I feel much more secure having them looking after the security system."

"I don't remember the price. What stands out is that I can't remember anything negative about it. They came in, put it all in, and did what they said they were going to do. It seemed to be reasonable. I don't recall any problems. It was done fairly quickly. A couple of months later one of the components wasn't working right. I called them and they came out promptly and fixed it with no issues. They were professional. They have changed their name now to Broadview or something."

"We have a contract with them. They walked us through the system. One time we had a false alarm and they were very responsive and everything worked the way it should. The key fobs they gave us were not working and that is why we had a false alarm. I have contacted their service department for that. We were not charged for putting the equipment in because that was part of the house. My husband thinks the price is a little high, but I think it is okay for a certain piece of mind."

"They have been responsive no matter whether it was a false alarm or not. They are very quick and precautious when identifying who caused the alarm to go off. They test the alarm once a month and remind you of that in case you forget to do it."

"We have not had any problems with the service. When we accidentally tripped the alarm, the company called us right away and made sure that it was a false alarm. The only issue that I have with the company is that they frequently call us (many times a year) to "verify that our contact information hasn't changed." I'm not sure why they feel the need to keep calling us to make sure that we have not changed our address or phone number - it gets to be a little annoying."
