"We had windows installed 6 years ago by CHR so we did not even hesitate to use them to redo the bathrooms. They were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves every night before going home. When they ran into a few unexpected problems, they explained what they needed to do and kept telling me not to worry. It was very stressful to me to have two bathrooms being done in the house, but they just kept telling me to keep smiling that everything will be perfect when they were done. They worked very hard and were very understanding with our special needs son. Every time one of them would walk past our son, my son would say hello to them and ask what they were doing (which could be get annoying after being in the house for 5 days working on the bathrooms and walking past him about 20 times a day), and each time, they would make sure they said something back to him.
When the bathrooms were completed, they made sure we were happy with every last detail. They held true to their promise that everything would be perfect in the end."

"Overall it was a great experience. The only problem I ran into was that a pedestal bathroom sink needed to be removed then replaced and after it was replaced the installers left a very slow leak that drained toward the wall behind the sink. My wife and I didn't notice it for two days after the work was done and by then the water had spread under a huge area of laminate, which ruined the flooring. I called the installer and explained what happened. He literally fell over himself apologizing and promised to make it right. After a couple of days of waiting for his order of new flooring to come in he came out and replaced it, making sure there were no leaks this time. I am actually not mentioning this leak problem as a negative - mistakes happen no matter how good you are - but rather as a positive because of how professionally the situation was handled. I would definitely use this company again."

They were respectful of my home and my family and went above and beyond on several occasions to make sure that the house was safe and pleasant for me and my young children during the work. One day, after painting two bedrooms, stayed late into the evening to re-hang cornices and draperies so my children and I would be comfortable sleeping there. 's crew knew that we were living in the house during construction and were always conscientious about cleaning up every day and minimizing disruption to our lives.
Everyone on 's crew was pleasant and professional. They kept me informed of their progress and made sure that I understood what was happening every day.
There were several issues and changes that came up during the construction project and never failed to work with me to find the best solution in my price range. His memory for small details and thoroughness impressed me repeatedly.

"Working with Design was and is a wonderful experience. These guys spent a significant amount of time listening to us and helping us figure out what needed to be done now to help improve the house on a budget. They are outstanding listeners, and they are giving of their time even for a relatively small job like ours. They had the best bid (we looked at 3 reputable contractors), and we had a to see several other jobs that they had done in nearby (which was stunning, by the way). Over about a month, worked with us closely to identify priorities and help us stay in our budget. He went with us to pick out materials, guided us in some of the work we did ourselves, and did all the work while we were away for 2 weeks in the summer. The evening we got home from our trip, the house had been utterly transformed. Everything was ready to use, everything was cleaned up, and and had placed a vase of sunflowers on the dining room table. Even after that, however, they have remained accessible to discuss our projects, even if they are not doing more work. Right now, they are helping us renovate a small bathroom. They pay attention to helping us update the house while retaining accents that are characteristic of the neighborhood and the period that it was built. They helped us solve problems and learn how to care for our new surfaces. I just can't say enough about these guys. They took our smallish project and made us feel as important as the big jobs we knew they were doing elsewhere in the city. They know when to listen and when to urge us in a new direction. They are brilliant designers, have flexible minds, and made us very, very happy."

"Overall it was perfect. A couple of minor problems with the trim work. When I brought it to the attention of the manager of the store he had the installation crew foreman at my home withing an hour. The foreman made a couple of phone calls and withing two hours all issues were resolved 100%."
