Charlotte Fitness Centers Reviews

C
"The facility was nice, but that was about it. I had a two-year membership that ran out. I had some issues with them. There were add-ons to my membership that I requested to be removed, and they didn't remove them. I had to go back three or four times before that took place. I found out after the fact that the Attorney General of Ohio was putting together a class action against them for that same thing. The pricing was reasonable, but the issue was when they wouldn't remove the add-ons."
B
"The facility has some unique and fun fitness classes that i don't think you can find elsewhere. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and has a hip atmosphere. I buy a class card and pay per class because it works better with my schedule. The membership/class costs are more on the

side, but the classes are fun (and it is Uptown real estate)."

" I have been going for a couple of years. They have got everything I need and they are not too far away. They are open just about anytime I want to go. They have done some extensive renovation. The time when I had an appointment, they were right there on time to show me around. I go with my neighbor across the street and her kids. They have childcare and she leaves her kids there. I should go more frequently than I have been going."

"I have been going to this gym now for 2 years and it has been a positive experience. They have a clean facility and they offer very good classes and very good rates. They have personal trainers if you need them, available by appointment."

"Under new ownership, the curves opened in a new location. The new club has fresh paint and upscale decor (it is clean and bright). It makes working out more pleasant in this environment. When I come into the club, I scan my card into the computer and then put my things in one of the cubbies. I go around the circuit twice, alternating between a machine and a recovery square. At the end of the workout, there is an area for stretching. There is also a water cooler in the club. The trainers at the club are helpful and friendly. The only thing that is a slight negative about the location is parking - there is limited parking in the front of the shopping center. There is a parking lot to the side of the shopping center but it is a gravel lot and I don't like to get gravel dust on my car. Overall, I am very happy with this Curves and would recommend it."

"When I signed up for a membership, I was told that I could list a referring member so that member could get an additional 1 month membership. After noticing that my friend did not get the additional month, we spoke to

, site manager. He told us that they didn't do that and the person that signed me up was wrong. He was unwilling to honor the 1 month referral, despite the promise that was made to the referring member and myself. His only response was, "we got rid of that guy." It definitely shows a lack of integrity within this company. Also, don't ever sign up month to month with this company. I know someone else that has been trying to cancel her membership for over 9 months but Peak continues to draft her bank account, despite multiple assurances that the problem will be taken care of."

"A great deal. For $15/month I get unlimited use plus tanning. There is a yearly maintenance fee. The club at Coronation was recently renovated. Club is open 24/7 during the week and 7-7 weekends. Very clean, equipment in excellent condition. It is a nice place to work out as long as you do not need a pool or a child area. I work out at 5am so it is not crowded yet there are about 20-30 people there at that time."

"The atmosphere is fun and the workout is great and it only takes 30 minutes three times a week. I have been a member for 2 years and enjoy the experience. The fee is $39 a month paid through automatic draft."

"I called
Charlotte Fitness Centers Provider Name Locked
to find out about a $15 fee which appeared on my bank account and the woman who answered was helpful in explaining this was done on an annual basis and referred me to the contract. When I asked the woman if there would be another charge for my husband she put me on hold and a man came on the phone who asked me if I needed help. I explained I was working with the woman, he told me he was going to help me now. The man was very loud and abrupt with me and I asked him to please not yell, he rudely said he was not yelling at me. I hung up the phone since I felt that the person was being rude. The man called my house after I hung up and I could hear him in the back ground talking about me, not realizing that I had picked up the phone. I hung up the phone, the man called me again and I told him not to call my house and hung up. The man called me again and yelled "STOP YELLING" and hung up on me. This is inappropriate behavior and unacceptable to harass a customer."

"It's a great place to work out. Friendly people, encouraging staff, good classes and equipment."
