We had a fantastic experience with
Stone Marble and Granite! When we went to the warehouse to select a granite remnant for our downstairs 1/2 bath/powder room,
spent so much time helping us find the right piece for our space and color preference. He walked us through every step, was so patient as we reviewed all of the options in terms of sinks, backsplash, etc. The price was unbeatable, and the quality of the granite was top notch.
had his team out to install the granite almost immediately, and Installation was a breeze. Such a great experience with this company, I highly encourage others to use
Stone, Marble, and Granite!

We purchased two remnants from
during a warehouse sale on 5/3/14. The remnant we purchased for the countertop was 63 1/2" x 28.5". From this a bathroom vanity countertop was to be fabricated after a template was made. We asked that a 19" x 28.5" seat for our shower be made also from the same remnant if possible. In the even that it was not we purchased another seperate remnant.
A template was never made on site even after we asked them to do so multiple times in separate phone conversations. They said they received the dimensions from our builder,
of
Custom Homes, and that was good enough. The resulting countertop is not square with our walls and is 36 1/2" by 24 3/4". There is a gap between one of our walls and the countertop. We also asked that a seat for our shower be made from the same remnant and they said there wasn't enough material (keep in mind the original dimensions of the remnant).
We have overpaid for the material by $110. An on-site template was never made , which is a $75 service they are supposed to provide, in addition they never installed the countertop or sink.
We would like them to fabricate a new countertop for us from the same material (new slab), after an on-site template has been made. If this cannot be done then we ask that a 4" backsplash be fabricated to hide the gap (this actually takes less material). They have said they are not going to do either.
I've placed several calls and emails to them. On my last call today (8/7/2014), they said they fulfilled the terms of the contract to us. They obviously have not. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and hope to get a satisfactory resolution to our complaint. I would not, however, recommend them to anyone. There are other fabricators with much better customer service. We are using someone else for our kitchen since our dealings with
have proved to us that they cannot be trusted.

They arrived on time on the day they said they would...came in, introduced themselves and explained the process. Once that was done, they got to work immediately removing the old counters and backsplash. They gave me time to clean behind my

(thank you!) and then started bringing in the granite. Once it was all brought in they started measuring and double, triple checking everything. We had one seam to be glued and it's hard to see where it is unless you look specifically for it. The sink installation was a breeze...cut the hole for our new faucet and put it in place. All with a smile on their faces. Any time I had a question they answered it completely. I would use them again and again for stone work in our home and recommend them highly to others.

They showed up on time and had excellent communication except for not following up with me to find out what I wanted to do with the leftover granite. Looks great. My other complaint is the selection in their yard is limited, and I had to drive around to different warehouses of other companies to find the slabs I wanted. I'm happy overall with my experience.

This report is being created later than hoped. This report completes a series of reports on a garage makeover project at my home. I had previously written reports on the company that did the epoxy hybrid floor (Best In Show Garage) and the plumbing company that helped out with the garage sink (All About The Pipes).

was the last company used to complete my project. Design:

was fantastic. I could not have been happier working with her.

was a great communicator, always available, detail oriented, a good listener, pleasant and an expert on closet design. I was so lucky to have her on my project.
The installation was done on a cold day in November and since it was a garage project, there wasn't much that could be done to make it warmer. But, the two installers worked all day to complete the job.
I gave a B on quality because there were several sections of cabinets that had scratches or imperfections on them. i.e. nicks.
I first fault the warehouse for not seeing the damage. I also fault the installers who should have said something but didn't.
This was a garage project but I still expect good quality on cabinets I am paying for. I would think that a client would be very upset if they had bedroom closet cabinets installed with scratches and nicks.

did replace one cabinet door. They offered to replace a large cabinet but I refused since I was concerened that a re-installation would cause more damage. I was also dismayed by the lack of concern by the owner of this franchise. He never reached out to me on this problem. My designer was my main contact. I would assume that they have rectified this problem. I could show pictures of the imperfections but won't. Again,
Charlotte Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
offered to do whatever I wanted done to correct the problems but for the most part I decided to go with what was installed. The exception being the one door panel that was replaced.
Overall, I am very happy with my garage makeover. I put a lot of work in finding the right people to do the work. If you look at the floor report you'll see how nice the floor came out. Photos of the cabinets are with this report. I am so happy to be able to put all of my paint cans, supplies, garden stuff, etc. away and into the cabinets. The garage looks great.

The installers did a great job putting the counter tops on. They were very efficient and left no mess. Old counters were removed quickly and they even corrected a couple issues we had with the cabinets below. They installed the new granite counter and they look great.
The person they send out to do the measurements is great. He is the one that will answer all the questions concerning the install, what kind of granite, what kind of cuts etc. He patiently went over every detail and explained the prep work involved.
The showroom experience is not that of a high end kitchen design showroom. The quote discussion was a bit frustrating. However, overall it was a good experience and are happy with the final result.

Their approach is very comprehensive and consumer friendly. We had many questions, and they explained everything in detail. They did not try to up-sell anything, and were flexible as to using their plumber for the new sink (which we did) and their tile person (which we didn't, because we had someone we had used before). We ended up making three trips to their showroom and were always helped immediately with great courtesy. They were always available by phone. Their selection of granite and other stones seems limitless. They had us collaborate and approve the layout of our counters on the granite slab, so that the seams would join sections with the same color and pattern. And we could avoid any pattern in the granite that we didn't particularly like. All three of the folks in the office are very experienced in this business and can answer any question. We had total confidence in them. Every appointment was fulfilled exactly on-time. The person who did the layout and the installers told us what they were doing and gave us options for how to deal with any questions. Example: our cabinets were not quite level, and we talked through various options to resolve it.

Naturally we had proposals from other firms. We felt

gave us "Mercedes" level product and service without paying any more than other firms.
